King of the Hill

This place reminds me of the small town store from my tiny town where I grew up. Has a larger selection than your go to convenient store and a ton of wine and beer options. I find it a little pricey. These photos serve as my future reminder when I want to know if they typically carry what I'm looking for in a last minute dinner situation. Hopefully they help someone else!

I made a inner-Capitol Hill move recently, and feel lucky that KOTH is the closest convenience mart. Abe is such a great guy, always smiling and never overbearing. I've purchased such a random assortment of goods here: toothpaste, detergent, mac&cheese, chili, spam, ziploc bags, strawberry shortcake ice cream bars (my fave)... I always go in thinking that I might have to hit another shop to complete my shopping list, but KOTH always delivers! Please don't underestimate the "convenience" of a convenience mart! KOTH is one of the best.

Really nice staff. They will order any wine you want them to carry. They've recently expanded the store so it carries more kitchen things that you might need (like a late night urge to make brownies) My only wish were that they were open later.

Best convenience mart in the area! I live around the corner from King of the Hill, and I usually pop in for some Ben and Jerry's, juice, or other small items. What makes this place my favorite is the kind and friendly disposition of the guy behind the counter. He's not over-the-top or anything...generally just offers a warm smile and a bit of small talk. But in a city as expensive and impersonal as Seattle, it's always nice to come across merchants who you feel happy to give your business to. At other nearby convenience stores, I've had merchants who don't even bother to greet customers or make eye contact during transactions.

The people who work here are the nicest people. It's a convenient little store but hard to know when open.

King of the Hill is your corner store market straight out of a movie. Abraham always has a huge smile on his face and his store has everything from delicious snacks to first-aid to beverages of every type to cat food. Fairly priced and guaranteed to make your day, King if the Hill is my first choice for my convenience needs!

Abraham has a smile on his face each time i walk into the store, always a welcoming environment! you can tell he really cares about the neighborhood by the way he chats up the regulars with delightful conversation! never a time the store didn't have what i needed. what more can you ask for, he's got it all!

Vic was an absolutely amazing barber. He took a challenge with an odd dye job and killed it. This wasn't a shop I'd go to for alt work but Vic killed it. So hear me out baby bats in Kent, our homie is chill and good st his work! It'll take more time then normal but the result is worth!

We've lived nearby for years and Abe always has a smile on his face! He makes us feel so welcomed when we go to grab something! I would caution you to check expiration dates on things, but if you stick to that, he's really got anything you'd need in a pinch! From eggs to frozen pizza to baking supplies to cat litter, lol
