After seeing the skydeck we came here. This is literally right by it. At first we were hesitant desiring a less bougie place more regular bar like but this was the only place open around us within a 5 min walk.The top floor was closed but we were seated quickly. Our waitress was nice & quick. I ordered the fried chicken wings & hassleback potato's. My husband ordered the scallops. Let me tell you the scallops were delicious! I instantly regretted not getting it!The chicken wings were yummy! So crispy and a hint of spice. My husband barely got two lol. The hassle back potato was great but was very filling. My cosmo was great too. The restaurant is very nice with a pretty chandelier above the bar. I thoroughly enjoyed lunch here.

I need a happy hour event here recently for work. We ended up having a really nice time. The food was great and the drinks flowed. The staff was very helpful and attentive. We had a nice upstairs space next to the bar. We basically had a great selection of appetizers. Here are a few of the things we had. CHARCOAL TOASTED QUESADILLA - yum, nice and crispy, lots of cheese4 FRENCH FRIES JULIA CHILD STYLE - the best, loved the sauces2 HUMMUS & CRUDITÉ PLATTER - good selection of optionsSEASONAL BURRATA - also yum!CRISPY BRUSSELS SPROUTS - so good, my favoriteMINI CHATEL FARM'S ITALIAN BEEF - nice sandwichesMINI ROTISSERIE CHICKEN POT PIE - a nice biteOverall a really nice experience. They took care of us very well.

Gorgeousssss restaurant!! I was so excited to have lunch here with my girls & the food did not disappoint!!! We stumbled into this aesthetic restaurant during st pattys day weekend. I ordered the chopped southwest salad & a chicken skewer. The salad was enormous and tasted fresh. The chicken was super saucy and cooked v well. It was a little smaller than i thought but still good. The food was also decently priced which i appreciated. One thing that i did not enjoy was our server. The man at the bar was not the kindest and seemed to be disturbed by the presence of my girls and I. I'm not sure whether the server was not v fond of POC but that's the vibes that were given from him. Just a friendly forewarning. However, the rest of the staff was AMAZING. Including the cooks that wished us a great day as we exited:)

Very good dinner on the first floor of Willis Tower (Sears Tower to me). Excellent and attentive service in a trendy and comfortable dining room. I was dining solo and was given a nice quiet banquette and appreciated the space. Started with tomahawk prawn with spicy butter and 4 different oysters. Everything was nicely grilled and had nice smoky flavor from the live fire kitchen. BBQ sweet potatoes were also very tasty and otherworldly when paired with the prawn. Entree was duroc pork chop, Brussels, and hasselback potatoes. All very good. Left with leftovers and would definitely return.

The ambiance is amazing, but the cocktails and food are even better somehow. The Words of Affirmation gin cocktail is like an adult Jolly Rancher. I am not a gin drinker, but a *pink* gin? The Eden Mill is insane . The wood fired scallops had an outrageous crust and were perfectly seasoned. Will absolutely be back

Kindling in Chicago, located in the Willis Tower, is a must-visit for food lovers. The unique wood-fired grill adds a distinct flavor you can't find anywhere else. The chefs have done a fantastic job making this a unique dining experience that sets them apart from other great restaurants in the city. I've been back multiple times, and each visit has been a delight. Some of my favorites include the perfectly cooked fillet, the creamy mac and cheese, and the cheesecake. The food at Kindling never fails to impress, making it one of my top choices in the city. If you're looking for something special, this is the place to go!

Loved the ambiance here. The service was also A+. Our waiter was knowledgeable, made recommendations and handsome (that never hurts lol). Loved the cocktails also! We had a French 75, Golden Amaro, expresso martini and Belmont blue; all delicious, fresh and boozy honey!Unfortunately I did not like my main dish the Rotisserie Chicken, it appeared uncooked, it was basically white, we still tried it and it was chewy and NOT good at all, no flavor. It also took forever to come out so idk what that was about. My girl enjoyed her salmon, I did as well. We LOVED the appetizers and dessert! The Brussels sprouts were flavorful with a crunch, the beets were tasty and that cookie butter cheesecake is to die for! We came for restaurant week so we had three courses. The waiter offered me salmon after sending the chicken back, a round of drinks for the extended wait for our main course, I'd come back for happy hour, cocktails and a few small bites for sure! The service made up for the few mishaps.

Have been to Kindling a couple of times now in the Sears Tower and have been quite impressed. My most recent time was for lunch and I sat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and gave me lots of recommendations. I went with the Not A Smash Burger and it lived up to the well given advice. Perfectly cooked, meaty and delicious. The fries were impeccable too. I ended with the Franco mint cake. Good but wish it were more minty like the chocolates.

I walk by Kindling every day, and have been waiting to visit for months. Today we had the chance to dine in for lunch, and were lucky enough to have the bar to ourselves as we enjoyed tuna, pasta, and salmon. The tuna tartare was presented with a nice twist, the creamy avocado spread adds a nice textural element alongside some nice crunch from the topping. The crackers are a little difficult to work with, but make for an overall enjoyable dish. The salmon skewers were perfectly cooked, and the sauce was insanely complex and delicious, THAT SAUCE! The pasta was tasty, a very flavorful red sauce paired with a cheesy and light pasta. Service was good, the place is overall beautiful, and I appreciate having such a wonderful chef here locally in Chicago.
