We come here all the time. They have the best Banh Mi in the east valley. Their banh cuon is also very good. Great for take out and food on the go.

Chicken bahn mi - extremely dry meat it's practically a choking hazard . (Do not let anyone with a hard time swallowing or susceptible to choking get this ,it really is that bad of a hazard)The bread itself was soft but extremely hard to chew. I wanted spring rolls but decided not to get them since they were room temperature sitting on a cookie sheet with nothing to keep them cold . Some of the dishes that were packaged for to go had fruit flies all over them. Extremely disappointed . I was very eager to try this place and drove from out of town just to try this place. The reviews had me confident I'd have a good experience but it was one of the worst .Not worth the drive ; not worth the money. The staff itself wasn't very friendly or accommodating almost felt like they had a stigma against white people. Will not return .

It was nice to come here on my third visit, this time with someone who could provide details of some Vietnamese items I've been wanting to try. After browsing through the hot and cold items displayed, we chose a Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio/grilled pork and rice, a souffle like entree served in an aluminum tin, roasted pork, a fresh bun and beverages che banh lot. We actually had some of the half pound of their roasted pork $11 and an egg dish sold in a tin. The pork was tasty, fatty and delicious. It was a difference from the Chinese Roasted pork that I'm familiar with. Beautiful when tucked in one of the fresh banh mi rolls. I can't recall what the egg entree was named but it was very good as we washed it all down with the best purchase of the day- the jelly drinks made with coconut milk! These $5.99 beverages are found in the refrigerator ready to go. I don't know what the fat and caloric numbers are but it is sweet and filling! Delish!I always love grilled pork, pickled vegetables and fresh vermicelli noodles accompanied by fish sauce. This combo is always one of my favorites at any Vietnamese place. This $13.99 entree was sold with a crispy egg roll as well. We were too full by this time so I took it home. Next to try- the fresh soy milk and a shrimp entree!

It reminds me of a Vietnamese to go restaurant where items are already made &packed and you pick which meals you want through a warmer line.Price ranges from $8-$18, which I thought was a little steep.

A bit of a strange place. It is called a bakery and inside almost seems like a market but then there is a counter where you can order many different types of noodle soups and Vietnamese dishes. The flavors are really good and what I would consider authentic Asian spices and flavors that might not appeal to those who favor Panda Express or Americanized Asian. I want to go back and try more.

As a returning patron of KimThao's Bakery and Food to Go, I've consistently been impressed by their banh mi, which I boldly claim as some of the best in town. The delightful fusion of flavors nestled between slices of their usually soft, fresh bread is a culinary journey worth taking.During my most recent visit, which was later in the day, I noticed the bread had lost some of its characteristic tenderness, leaning towards the harder side. This slight deviation from the norm didn't overshadow the overall quality of the meal, which remained high. My experience seems to be an exception rather than the rule at this establishment. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend KimThao's Bakery for anyone seeking an authentic banh mi experience. Just a small tip: swinging by earlier might just secure you a sandwich with the freshest bread possible. Happy eating!

KimThao's is best Vietnamese cafe and bakery in the Valley! Parking is aplenty and easy. And there never has been more than a few other people on line in front of me when have been there.I have tried many of their dishes and desserts... and have never been disappointed! The most memorable (and delicious) include the steamed banana cake, crispy roasted pork, and the pork and shrimp spring rolls! While many Vietnamese dishes are gluten-free, they could probably do a little better job of pointing out which items are (or are not) gluten-free.Prices seem to be a bit higher than some other Vietnamese places, but this is truly one of those examples where you really do get what you pay for. Well worth it!Overall rating:*****FIVE STARS****Gluten-free rating:****FOUR STARS****

Downgrading them to 2 stars due to poor customer service. The old man at the register so quick to say no to requests and always has a pissy look on his face. I asked if they could make a BBQ pork bun as there was none premade and he snapped, "No!" I hate having to deal with him but I got no choice as their food makes up for the rudeness. Anyway 2 stars due to the food being good otherwise I'd give them a 1 star.

Arrived mid afternoon to check out this bakery. This place offers a mini market and also fresh to wrapped food. Basically anything you can ask for. I got the pork shrimp spring roll-10/10! The sauces that go with it were delicious.Next time I'm hungry, I'll try out their main dish options.

I was craving some authentic vietnamese food and decided to order take out at KimThao's. KimThao's reminds me of a vietnamese deli back in Oakland California called Cam Huong. The have such a huge selection of different vietnamese ready to go dishes like banh bao (steam pork bun), pork eggrolls, banh bot lot ( steamed pork and shrimp dumplings), vietnamese sandwiches, and more! There are so many different dishes to choose from that I always order more than I can eat! The bun bo hue is very delicious in favorful. If you like spicy beef noodles I recommend trying theirs. They have big portions when you order the spicy beef noodle to go.They also do catering for big parties and their party trays are reasonably priced. This is my to go spot when I'm craving authentic vietnamese food that is quick and fast! I would definitely recommend to try this spot if you are craving a togo authentic vietnamese food. You can also eat their also! They also open early! If you're an early bird like myself looking for vietnamese food!
