I don't really write reviews anymore, but after a crazy delicious meal at Kimski tonight, I had to emerge like that Homer Simpson bushes gif but in reverse.Everything about this place is exceptional and refreshing. Intentional and soulful Food Inviting space with good music and energy Reasonable prices Stellar beer selection Exciting cocktails Chef Kim and Team so clearly give a shit about the food they put out and the overall experience at Kimski. This is REAL FOOD, not some "made for Instagram and Eater Lists" hype spot that like many others, will fizzle out as the crowds move on to the next shiny thing with a line out front. Every bite was flavorful and delicious, but my favorite has to be the pierogis which were some of the best I've eaten in years. They perfectly embody the concept of this menu, a seamless blend of Korean and Polish flavors masterfully prepared without pretense. As far as cocktails go, The Mai Tai is a must as well when you visit. It's boozy, balanced and not cloyingly sweet like many you've had before. The meal I enjoyed tonight at Kimski will stand out as one of my favorites of the year and I will most definitely be returning for more.

It's been a few years since I've returned to Kimski but I came specifically to eat the food hearing about the chef's fresh Pov. It was quite lovely and I could feel the fresh realness even in the kimchi. So much love in every bite, I can't wait to come back to try all the other dishes.

Love this Bridgeport spot! Interesting fusion options, they've also had different menus the last few times I've been there with new offerings. Had the adobo chicken most recently which was great. Fair prices for the quality as well. Can bring onto the Maria's patio for a lovely summer evening

Ordered the prettiest entree here and it tasted great. Not sure if I've had a salmon rice bowl served with cream cheese but it works! Reminds me of a philly roll

This place is great! Fusion Korean Polish food. The dishes are artistic and tasty and affordable. The food fills you up and you will have leftovers. The dishes are artfully done also. You can sit at the seats at both Kimski and Maria's which is a cool bar that looks like a tiki bar...really nice to have during winter when you wish you were enjoying the summer heat with cold drinks. There is also outdoor seating. The drinks at Maria's are beautiful and well crafted and has plenty of alcohol. Won, the owner was really friendly and personable and spoke w us and joked with us. He's funny and entertaining w his humor. He is the kind of guy you would enjoy hanging out with at your table to enjoy good food with drinks and conversation. Paige is great too! She is really sweet and helps explain the menu and super personable also. This is a fun place to eat and lounge at with friends. It has an excellent ambiance w nice music and a TV video screen to watch a movie in the background. We were super relaxed and loved soaking up the chill atmosphere and vibe and staff.

Flavor of the food was ok. Nothing to rave nor complain about. I'm not the foremost expert on Korean food nor Korean fusion but nothing warranted a return here for me. The vibes were the best part especially when you walk into the bar or onto the patio. Gotta say I love the people of Bridgeport. The noodles had a weird ingredient atop them that had a sour flavor. The salmon bowl was ok & the cream addition to the rice was a welcome surprise. The salmon was slightly warm so be aware of that. I'm slightly interested in the fried but I wouldn't make a special trip solely for them.

The food is so delicious, the service is awesome, and it's such a classically Chicago place. It's a laid back but confident vibe. This is an awesome place to hang, eat, have a drink, or have a date. I could eat the bulgogi cheese steak every day and not get tired of it, and they have a cool selection of bourbons.

It was a bit dark inside the actual dining area but the food and drinks were very good. Plus it's close by the house we will come back again for sure.

Kimski is a great Korean-Polish fusion place that is now connected to Maria's Packaged Goods and Community Bar, which is a many-tapped beer and cider place sort of lightly 'hidden' (not really) behind an alcohol store in Bridgeport. It sounds confusing, but it's not really. You can go to Kimski or walk through the door in Maria's bar through the Kimski kitchen to order, and eat at Maria's. Anyway - Kimski is a delicious addition and the food is super consistent and delicious. There's generally much less Polish influence in many dishes, but you can expect items like soy sauce cream cheese pierogi and smoked salmon rice bowls, all very good. The staff is sweet, also - no idea what others are complaining about. Pop in and enjoy Kimski with a drink at Maria's for a great Bridgeport experience.
