Home cooking isn't the restaurant name for no reason! I loved coming here, everything was made fresh and tasted delicious. Recovering from a cold, I ordered the Yuk Gae Jang and I swear it healed me. This is the perfect place for hot soup on cold, rainy days. Cant wait to come back!

Wow! Yelp helped me find this place because I was craving some rice cakes. Everything was so delicious!!! It was my first time trying the cold noodles and they were marked wheat free on the menu and this was my favorite thing! Service is very kind and the interior is clean and simple. Bimbap was also so good, we all agreed this was the best japchae we've ever had. Noted I am not Korean, but I've travelled to South Korea before and this food is very authentic. The rice cakes had a more onion forward flavor, but we liked it a lot. Would recommend!

Old school Korean restaurant. An older couple runs it and it carries that laid back, super casual feel. If you've got patience, it'll be tested. But at least food comes out timely if the restaurant isn't busy. Flavoring is good. You should enjoy your meal. Keep expectations minimal and you'll be happy. Nowadays one can obtain really good Korean food in many areas of Chicagoland. Topping that, they are operating near to veteran Korean & Korean Chinese restaurants. Still, they're doing their own thing and for that the costs aren't as high as their competitors.

If you're looking for a place for home-y, Korean comfort food, Kim's is where it's at. Don't expect any sort of ambiance bc you won't get any. The banchan is good and the kimchi tasted like my mom's. I ordered the dolsot bibimbap which was well portioned and flavorful (gotta love that crispy rice). We also ordered the Kalbi tang and also the Korean popcorn chicken. Can I just say, $9.99 for popcorn chicken is a steal, and that plate alone could have fed three people. My boyfriend took his Kalbi tang leftovers home and said it tasted even better the next day. Even though there was only one person working as a server, the wait time was minimal. This was our first time dining in so I'm not sure how many people are working typically but I did feel bad for the one worker and made sure to tip well.

I'm always looking for new Korean restaurants to order from. There were good reviews, and prices were reasonable. The portion was good, but unfortunately, the Jap Chae was lacking any flavor, mostly noodles, no meat, and hardly any vegetables- by far the worst I've had. The KFC (sweet garlic and spicy) were good, but the flavors didn't seep into the chicken- only coated on the skin, so the chicken inside was plain. The Kalbi was just okay. Maybe it was an off day, but we were disappointed.

I found out about this place from friends from church and omggg that popcorn chicken for $10 is an amazing deal!! Don't expect your regular Taiwanese popcorn chicken bc it's not the same. This isn't as peppery or traditionally crispy like Korean fried chicken but it still packs so much flavor. It's maybe 6/10 crispy on the crispiness scale and doused in like this tasty sweet and sour sauce topped with sesame seeds.. yet somehow it just works and is hella delicious. I was excited about galbi tang but it was so so.. the meat isn't that high quality and the soup was pretty bland. Overall I'd come back for some comfort Korean foods if I'm in the area

Come here for their chicken wings! My group and I ordered the 20 piece wings, the army stew, and an order of bulgogi kimbop. The wings were juicy and flavorful! We ordered the wings with the teriyaki and spicy sauce. The army stew was spicy and the kimbop tasted even better after I drenched it with the soup. Their wings are a must try here!

This is our new favorite place. Been meaning to go for some time and finally went. We were so impressed with the quality, freshness, and authenticity of the food. The people who run it are so friendly and put a lot of TLC into the food. The spicy pork with kimchee was amazing, as were the bibambap and the seafood pancake, just to name a few.
