I enjoyed their food, until I found a rubber band in my soup. A rubber band that at first I mistook for a noodle. Yup. Never again.

The place is fairly new and offers plenty of options to eat, the restaurant it self has plenty of tables for either individual or small groups of people. I often order food for pickup but they also deliver. The owners are friendly and make you fell good about buying. As for the food, its good and its made pretty fast.

Was very excited to try this place. I've lived in the area a while and we usually get Li Hing. I ordered Wonton soup and Mongolian beef, price totaled up to $30. Beautiful, everything smelled amazing. However they both lacked any flavor, I've never had to salt my food after getting it home before. The beef was so chewy, either under cooked or over cooked, not really sure but it was like leather. The service was pretty standard, no complaints there, someone took my order and a different persons gave it to me, pretty straightforward. The place was cute and small and love the location. Hopefully they can get someone in there that has taste buds because I'm not the only one that thinks the food was really bad.

I'm sorry but we tried. New to this area and all the Chinese around here sucked except for Jinns Fresh but they are pricy. Was hopeful. Before we got the fresh made bao and it positively sucked. Like three it in the trash level sucked. Well this time was no better. Got egg rolls and different types of fried rice. Egg rolls were good but tasted more like rice rolls. THe fried rice would have been good but the chicken bits looked raw still or tasted like cartilage. Just disgusting! Like come on!!!

I have a ritual of going to Somethin' Sweet Donuts every weekend for a doughnut fix. On my last visit, I asked the woman behind the counter about Kim Long Restaurant, wondering if she had gone there. She gave me a modest, "It's okay" response. It was considerably better than okay.Hong Kong milk tea. Hot and sour soup. Salt and pepper shrimp. Shrimp in lobster sauce.I'm hooked on the Hong Kong milk tea. The hot and sour soup had a lot more flavour to it than what I've had at Americanized Chinese restaurants. The salt and pepper shrimp was a winner. I wasn't expecting the head to be attached to the shrimp and once I got the shell off, it was all good. I'm addicted to the shrimp in lobster sauce. When I was leaving, I saw an older woman who used to be at Somethin' Sweet Donuts when I was going there. She mentioned that the doughnut shop and Kim Long Restaurant are family owned. I guess my ritual now will be to go to Kim Long for dinner and then to Somethin' Sweet Donuts for my usual doughnut dessert fix.

I had the chicken pho, my friend had the beef pho. It smelled good as it came out, but when I tasted it, it just tasted like they warmed up chicken stock and added pho noodles in a pot and called it a day. There are far better pho spots further north by Lawrence and Kimball. We also got the potstickers and those also were okay but didn't look like pot stickers. The service was alright at best, and half of the store wasn't even dining anymore, it was more storage and prep areas where there were tables. Maybe I could've just known better that a Chinese food place wouldn't have good pho, but at the same time they can just take it off the menu. If you're coming for pho, go somewhere else.
