Killer Whale Creamery

Cute little shop in the same plaza as sugar and scribe in La Jolla. They have unique flavors such as lavender, horchata churro, blueberry dark chocolate and ube pancakes with matcha swirl. I sampled all of these and loved the lavender the most. Each flavor has its own set of toppings. Lavender came with real lavender flakes as well as lavender honey. I got this with their waffle cone which was so good. Service was great the man helping us was very kind and allowed us to try any flavors we wanted. They have a great vegan menu as well for those who prefer dairy free. Come check this spot out you wont be disappointed!!

Saw several ads on Instagram about this place being opened so I decided to check them out. Very friendly staff that allow you to try any of their flavors before ordering. I ended up ordering a flight which comes with 4 flavors:Blacks Beachy Cherry: There's cherries in the ice cream and topped with a cherry on top! The ice cream itself is black which was a nice touch. Definitely recommend for those who like cherry ice cream.Killer Whale Cocoa & Vanilla: the ice cream has a similar color scheme to an orca (as the name implies) really loved the chocolate flavor and I would definitely order it again (would also make for an excellent milkshake) Surfside strawberry: I'm a fan of strawberry ice cream and this did not disappoint. It's worth mentioning that they do add walnuts to this as well (although you can opt to not have the walnuts). The walnuts themselves are roasted and complement the ice cream well. Honey lavender fields: they top off the scoop with lavender and honey which helps reinforce the flavor well and gives it a more bold flavor compared to your typical subtle taste from other lavender ice cream I had. Overall, a great new creamery! Will go again soon!

I'm a big ice cream girl and when I heard about this new spot I had to come check it out and I loved it! Worker was super sweet and the ice cream speaks for itself, so creamy and rich and I love the whale theme of this place :) for sure will come back P.s do yourself a favor and try the seaside turtle chocolate Brownie!!

Cute little creamery that just opened! They had some unique flavors and happy to give you samples of any and all! The staff were really friendly and helpful. They even let me sample the GF black waffle cone when I asked what it tasted like! I had the vegan coconut strawberry and blueberry dark chocolate, I wasn't expecting to like the blueberry but it was creamy with a bit of tartness. I'll definitely go back to try some other flavors.

Best Ice Cream ever! Love the flavor options and great service. I like that they let you sample the ice cream. Parking is easy and it's airy and cute inside.

Unbelievable ice cream. Took my son to Killer Whale ice cream store, and it was fantastic! The staff was super friendly, offering samples and making us feel right at home. The shop was clean, cozy, and inviting. We'll definitely be back for more!
