Kiku Sushi

I went to Kiku Sushi for our Jp Language Meetup. They get super busy but my Friend made reservations. They charged an automatic 18% Tip. I felt they did not provide an 18% Worth of Customer Service. The did not take my Beef Tofu pan from me after I packed my leftovers. But they took away other people's dishes. I also had to ask for a box. Most people go early at 6pm since they close Early at 8pm. It was very crowded. I did enjoy my Beef Tofu. The miso soup was very salty but most restaurants make it that way. Two other friends ordered Bento Box. They had Sashimi, Tempura, Nimono (Salty Soy flavored veggies), Salmon in the box. It was not too much variety. They had Sushi Rolls, Izakaya Appetizers including gueyduc, Clams, Squid , Uni Rolls. Grilled Saba, Blackcod Collar (was expensive). They also did not ask us if we wanted Separate Bills.

Very good legit Japanese restaurant- not a huge menu but everything is done the right way and is very good. Good selection of sushi and sashimi always fresh with good portions.

Cozy atmosphere--really like all the 2-seater tables along the wall in front of the sushi bar. Staff were super friendly and service was excellent--quick to be seated, never really waited for anything, from ordering a few sashimi items to start, to rolls later, to a follow-up sashimi item (more on that in a sec). We loved that tables already had a ~fresh pot of green tea at them upon sitting down--excellent touch!We had a few items off the sashimi menu (salmon, octopus, toro, yellow-tail, tamago) and all were great, but the stand-outs were the salmon (buttery good) and the toro (melts in your mouth). We followed this with a pair of rolls: the futamaki (good if you're into meatless rolls) and the "Rosanna" (better than expected: scallop, crab, avocado, tobiko, mayo). We liked the salmon sashimi enough to grab another order of that as dessert. We sampled their 'house' Sake: decent, but if you're into Sake their selection is a bit limited. Overall, I'd come back here again for the solid sashimi selection and fish quality, as well as the service.

I've only had their bento, but it never disappoints. For $16, you get a lot on your plate with the choice of California roll or sashimi. Comes with a bowl of rice, miso soup, salmon, tempura veggies (so good!), and tamago/tofu/imitation crab) and some pickled radishes. I believe the contents fluctuate by day but this is a solid go-to for indecisive people like me who want a bit of everything!

Took a chance on a random Wednesday evening sushi outing. The place was fairly busy and clearly understaffed. Took us 15min to get a table and another 15min to get our order placed. While the servers were nice, they were clearly impatient to get the orders in and move on to the next table. Food was ok, nothing spectacular. 3/5 is pretty accurate. See photos. We did order a lot for two adults and a toddler and managed to finish everything.

We've only had their lunch bento boxes to-go from here but it's definitely one of our favorite places to get bentos! I love the variety you get - chicken katsu, salmon, veggies, miso soup and your choice of a California roll or sashimi! I would have given them five stars but the last time we ordered bento boxes, we ordered one with Cali roll and one with sashimi and the tuna sashimi that came with it tasted a little off. The salmon was good but we didn't like whatever tuna sashimi that was. But overall still very delicious and good price ($16) for all that food! Will continue coming here!

The food was pretty good. Lots of vegetarian choices. A bit overpriced though. The wooden sushi blocks need to be replaced. They've got to be at least 30 years old. Kinda gross.

small restaurant with elder people as staff. Good quality and very small table for 2 people. Free parking. The sashimi and sushi plates are great.

Cantonese owned restaurant with typical Hong Kong style customer service. If you order to go they treat you like second class citizen. No thank you just you stay in corner and sit down do not block front door. here's your food good bye. If you eat dine in they are very nice to you and thank you.
