This place was awesome! My twin took me last night for dinner before seeing the very freaky and uncomfortable movie Long Legs. Dm me for that movie review.Dinner was a hit tho. I had the monkey balls which were juicy stuffed and deep fried mushrooms. They had sauced blooped all over and were slightly spicy, but delish. I tried the sweet shrimp and the egg rolls and the gyoza. I'm sure we caught a few other things on the belt whippin by. The only thing is if you're hangry, and you sit at a certain spot u may wait for what you're looking for to get reloaded and make its way to you. Overall, trying to catch your dinner is alotta fun and also maximum intensity making sure you don't miss it. I highly recommend this place, for a good time, for good food, for a memorable experience. It was about a 7 on the it's so good it's stupid meter, but a 10 on the I had so much fun it wasn't even right scale. End scene.

Well I wish I had taken photos but was too busy stuffing my face LOLCame here on a Friday evening around 7:30 small wait- but worth it. VERY reasonable prices. Lots of variety and they are swift to refill holes on the line. They are attentive to give refills and check on you. Spent about an hour here- for 2 people but BIG appetites we spent $55 pre tip. This included 1 soda & 15 plates of food. One thing I like about this place vs other revolving spots is they refresh stuff quickly and seemed like they had a few more options than other revolving places I've been to.

What a selection! Of all the rotating sushi places I've been to -- in San Diego, San Francisco and Tokyo -- KiKu has the best variety of nigiri, rolls, appetizers and desserts. For that, I was very impressed. I will say that the one thing -- the most important thing -- that soured the trip was that most of the sushi rice was undercooked. It was not all the items, so I expect it was simply a bad batch that wasn't quality controlled. That half ruined the dinner. That aside, I still enjoyed dinner and would certainly gift KiKu another try. All sushi and rolls go for $3.20, and can go up to $9 depending on the item. The gyoza and karaage were nice. Also enjoyed the edamame. I was pleased to see nigiri offerings include Japanese snapper, ikura, yellowtail, mackerel and scallop. There was one dish that surprised me: The Bubble Pop Roll. I took it mistaking the pop portion, believing it was ikura. As I brought the plate to the table, I leaned in, head cocked. Ikura is never that large -- what on earth is this? I couldn't tell. I opted for a bite and was shocked that the pop portion was mango-tasting jellies. It was a California roll with these jellies stacked high. My response was to immediately recoil, as the flavor was nothing I expected. Then I found that the creamy crab melded so well with the jellies. To my absolute surprise! I ordered another. I recommend trying it once, and before you judge the dish. They also serve full dishes, like teriyaki chicken, bulgogi, yakisoba, fried rice dishes, udon, ramen and other dishes. They also offer about one dozen types of sake, including unfiltered and strawberry, peach and plum sake. Wines are basic -- a Chardonnay, Cab, Merlot and a Sauvignon Blanc. The only other thing I dislike is that the team does not take the plates until your meal is over. So you simply keep the stack of dirty dishes at the table (Kura has spoiled me there).

When coming closer to closing, you might have to order more from the waitstaff. They stop butting out new item around an hour till close. Very friendly and prompt service. The area was clean and tables bussed quickly. Definitely will be back to try the Roman as the other items are taste. I definitely recommend the jalapeño boat appetizer. There are tvs around the restaurant playing different things from k pop to dragon ball z. Nothing too loud.

I am team Kura... as someone who grew up in Japan, the lack of nigiri option was disappointing. Rolls after rolls, mostly with crab salad. Just not my thing. The service was next to none either. My partner wanted to order wine, nobody came to check on us so we became full and asked for our check. The portion is quite small as well. Laidback atmosphere for sure.

Kiku easily became a family favorite after our first visit years ago. Current price for items on the belt is $3.20 - still affordable thankfully. I know there has been some reviews that mention low quality and such but I think it is undeserved. This is a very casual sushi/Asian restaurant so of course quality isn't going to be on par like say, Nobu. You are dreaming to expect that at $3 per plate. I believe the quality is very good for the price and many others agree as this place is always jammin'.All of the stuff we've tried over the years have been delicious and I appreciate that new items are introduced every once in awhile to keep things interesting. Many forget that you can always request the belt items be made fresh for you if they've been sitting out too long. This can help address some perceived quality issues if it bothers you.Service has been consistently sparse but friendly at least. If you happen to visit during a busy time, don't fret about waiting too long. A lot of tables turn over fast and staff is very good about cleaning up quickly once the guests have left.Being budget friendly, serving delicious items from the belt and kitchen, and decent service kept us coming back. I hope Kiku stays for many years to come!

Really good sushi, good service. Got there right when they opened and they filled up quickly. Each plate is $3.20. We spent about the same as we would at an average sushi place except we got to try a lot more rolls since the plates are small. They have sushi, entrees, and desserts on the conveyor belt. Can't wait to go back.

They have really stepped up their game in the last few years. They have new rolls all the time, tons of appetizers and many non-sushi options as well. They have a great combination of raw and cooked rolls as well as sashimi. They have plenty dessert options too. This place continues to improve. It's also always very clean and they'll make any roll fresh for you if you ask!
