I've been to Kikos before but I haven't been back in a while. They used to be off of Friars and Via Las Cumbres but ended up moving. I'm glad they did because there is way more room to wait for food and more places to park where they are now. They have tables and some chairs for folks who want to eat there. Such a better experience with these changes. As for the food, I ordered the OG Fish taco and the Grilled Fish taco. I had the OG before so I knew it would be good. The grilled fish taco was something I hadn't tried before and I'm super glad I did. It was so good. I would definitely come back and plan to. The OG and the grilled fish tacos together with tip were less than $11. For those of us feeling inflation, it's nice to know a place that has good food and affordable prices.

The portions here are huge, delicious, and very hot so it's sanitary. The seafood is their thing and they do it well. I'm pretty harsh when reviewing taco places, and a 4 stars rating doesn't happen often.

Came here on a Friday around 5 and there was a short line. Ordered 2 OG fish tacos, 2 octopus tacos, and their Krazy Friday deal. Total came out to $40 & we waited about 20 minutes for our food. OG fish tacos - our favorite of the order at $3.50 a taco. Battered, fried to crispy perfection, topped with cabbage and pico de gallo. 100% our favorite part of the meal & we can't wait to come back to get more of this. Octopus tacos - we got this because they were also running a special (I think it was $7 or $8 for each octopus taco). Not our favorite - we think the octopus taco from Oscars seafood is better in terms of flavor BUT the octopus was still tender and very well cooked.Krazy Friday Deal - usually $20 but the friday promo is $16.50. Essentially a ceviche platter with oysters and clams! Super flavorful and FRESH - there was also shrimp as well as a grilled shrimp included. Came with tostadas & the presentation was really pretty. The guys in the truck were also really awesome and gave us a free cup of seafood soup as we waited. Make sure you grab sauces, limes, and their grilled jalepeno/onions from the side of the truck as it's self service! 10/10 would come back, can't wait!!

I am so, so, so glad we finally got around to eating at Kikos. I found out they had a location in Morena (we are rarely in the Friars/Mission Valley area) so we dropped by after taking the pups to Fiesta Island. Service was friendly and fast; there were even some tables and chairs for folks who wanted to eat at the spot (it's a food truck). They have specials every day and we happened to come on the day where we could get a good deal on a taco and an octopus tostada, so we got that (with a shrimp taco) and two OG fish tacos. SO good. We drove 15 minutes back to our place in UTC and the tacos were still hot and crispy. They are generous with the fish/shrimp and I was pleasantly surprised with how packed that tostada was. They gave us a few warm tostadas on the side to scoop up the octopus with and that was an awesome touch. Kikos is 100% one of my top 3 fish taco places now--maybe even #1!

First time at Kikos so we had to try the OG Fish Tacos! The taco truck location is in a random strip mall. The prices were about $3 and some change per taco. They got a couple tables to stand and eat at. The guy who took our order hooked us up with a complimentary soup with some shrimp and veggies in it that was pretty good. There was a decent wait as they get packed during lunch time and everything is made to order. But the wait was worth it, the taco came out super hot, with a decent amount of crispy battered fish with all the trimmings. Get the orange/creamy hot sauce because it's really good!

This is a food truck, with standing tables and no bathrooms, but who cares- the food is insanely delicious! Our family enjoyed the fish tacos, carne asada quesadillas and an order of krazy (oysters and ceviche)! Would drive an hour to revisit this delicious food truck and to enjoy the soup they give you as you wait! Very fast service as well.

spicy octopus tacos (5/5): my favorite place to get octopus tacos. they fill the taco to the brim with octopus and the onions, cheese, & chipotle sauce really makes it. super tasty w/ the 2 different green salsas at the salsa bar. these tacos are VERY heavy and tbh, you only need to order one to get full or satisfy your craving. octopus ceviche (5/5): so so good! i love how they offer an option for only octopus ceviche since i don't really care for fish/shrimp in my ceviche. highly recommend for octopus lovers. make sure you get the onions, peppers, and salsas to eat with it! i've had the fish taco in the past but i wouldn't come back for it. i strictly come here for the octopus tacos and ceviche! they changed locations and the parking is pretty limited, but a little bit easier to navigate than the past location. my bf and i always end up eating on the hood of our car. service is quick & the staff always makes sure the truck is clean and all the salsa bar fixings are restocked. it's right by a gas station so you can buy drinks there if you don't like the options at kikos.

Fresh fried (sea bass) battered fish. Got the OG taco and it was packed. A large piece of sea bass that was moist and tender. Definitely one of our top 3 fish tacos of San Diego. There's also a free cup of tomato based soup.Service took a little time since everything is cooked to order. The atmosphere was casual.

The OG Fish Taco is a 10 out of 10--one of the best fish tacos I've ever had! Perfectly breaded and fried, with a generous portion size, these tacos are a must-try when visiting San Diego.
