Kiki Rae's

We just happened in the center here and spotted Kiki Rae's. It's funny we made a turnaround in the parking lot to go to a restaurant across the street. That place had a full parking lot. So we swung back across the street and said, "Let's try them out."They are kind of hidden in the back of the businesses. Which is good for the patio vibe to look out into the horizon. The ambiance is coastal with an Asian/coastal flare menu. Very laid back on the patio for this Sunday afternoon visit. We ordered drinks of double shot margaritas for me and Chardonnay for my wife. We were in a snacky mood, so we ordered the ahi tacos. Drinks and tacos were awesome. I think I could have sat on the patio for hours. It was so laid back and relaxing.Definitely recommend Kiki Rae's for drinks and appetizers on the patio.

Luckily we couldn't find parking at the very crowded Mexican cantina across the street and instead we pulled into the parking lot where we found Kiki's. What a great find!It was a perfect Sunday in Carefree in the Cave Creek area. We chose a table in the patio to sip on our cocktails while enjoying a nice cool breeze. The decor and vibe is intentionally coastal. The menu has lots of Asian fusion flavors. We chose a glass of Chardonnay for me and a margarita for hubby, and the ahi tacos appetizer because we had just had breakfast not too long before. It was all good!The stretch along this Cave Creek area is easy to find BBQ, Mexican and biker vibes places to eat. Kiki's is not anything like that at all. Coastal like decor, cool and calming colors, fresh and open. I loved it!

Sunday was my first time trying Kiki Rae's! Our server was great, provided good menu suggestions, and checked back with us to make sure we were good. The inside was very cute inside. I loved the host stand! Food was tasty as well. I really liked the two appetizers. The salad was just okay to me, but I did love the pomegranate seeds. I also thought the s'mores brûlée was more of just a chocolate creme brûlée? No graham cracker and even the little meringues weren't very marshmallowy. Don't get me wrong, it was still pretty tasty, just perhaps misnamed.

Review solely based on vibes and chocolate martinis - I had two chocolate martinis and they were top tier 10/10, little ice chips and BIG glasses. Bartender was fun - we grabbed a drink at the outside portion of the bar, quick service on a Saturday night and the outside is AWESOME. String lights, fireplace, green area with option for cornhole - if I return to Cave Creek this is the SPOT. Loved it.

Food was delicious, atmosphere was lovely. Our server Amanda was wonderful, she had great suggestions for us and we loved everything we had down to the espresso martini. Definitely a new favorite!

Had another dining experience at Kiki Rae's with awesome live music. Tonight we sat inside and we were lucky to have Phillip again as our server. I ordered the fabulous scallops & seafood chowder (so good last time that I ordered again!) My husband enjoyed the Miso Glazed Salmon and the chowder as well. Philip suggested the house Cab; so we ordered the bottle. (Why not??!!) He was right; the 120 Cab did pair well with our seafood. Had my heart set on a piece of Key Lime pie, but no worries! The Pineapple Cherry dessert with ice cream did not disappoint! We will be back soon!!

Weekends they serve ONLY BRUNCH. Wish they would advertise that on the website so that people like us who drive over an hour knew... A disappointment. We drove 1.5 hours to eat here from reading the reviews and from looking at the menu online. We were seated right away but 10 minutes and no one came by to greet us or provide waters. The hostess provided us with brunch menus and it didn't have any of the items that their menus online had. I had to get up and ask one of the ladies that worked there and said that on weekends they ONLY serve BRUNCH all day. No hot crab dip, no salmon cups, no soup, none of the seafood and steak entrees. Really disappointing. We arrived at 12pm ready to lunch, not breakfast.

The spicy chicken sandwich was outstanding. This place has beautiful Decour and scenery. The back outdoor space is beautiful and well lit up for nighttime. I would say the only thing is happy hour is from 3 to 5. Menu is pretty diverse but I would highly recommend the spicy chicken sandwich.

What a pleasant surprise in the heart of cave creek that we didn't know we needed. The coconut shrimp & big kahuna spicy shrimp tempura roll were great shareables! All the entrees we had and cocktails were delish as well. Loved the ambience and had great service. Will definitely be coming back.
