Sweet architecture!!! Walking in you know the vibe is good! The service here is fantastic! From the host to the bartenders, everyone is helpful and professional! We got a seat at the bar upstairs. It's so cool that they have a retractable cover over the place. It was beautiful out! I tried a cider and the double-double burger. It was absolutely delicious! Cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection! It was so good, I was full, but couldn't stop eating. Great location, great food, great service!!!

Don't get me wrong, the vibe and interior of Kettner was a 5/5. However, I was quite confused how this place got a michelin recognition when the food is a 3/5. Came here for a birthday dinner, just my boyfriend and I. The outdoor patio seating was very nice and loved the music that they were playing. The service was pretty good, our waitress came to check on us to see if we enjoyed all the things we ordered. Spicy tuna crispy rice 3/5:The rice cakes had a nice crisp when visually looking at them, but very soft on the inside? I thought it didn't pair well will the already mushed up tuna and soft avocado, no texture contrasts in this dish. Salmon with Hot oil 3.5/5: Super basic, nothing amazing. Found it more oily than flavorful. I believe the oil was not hot enough to actually sear the salmon. I simply just tasted oil and soy sauce when eating this dish. Atleast it was a good portion.Spicy shrimp garlic noodles 2.5/5 : Why were the shrimp micro sized? Also way too salty and the portion was so tiny for the price. I felt like this dish was made by a fast food restaurant. Lack of garlic flavor, all you taste is salt and chili. Needs lots of improvement...Best thing of the night was the butterscotch pudding with their caramel sauce. Solid dessert, well balanced with the sea salt. Caramel was rich, but not too sweet. The consistency of the pudding was spot on, soft and melts in your mouth. Overall, I would come here simply for the vibes and cocktails. STAY AWAY FROM THE FOOD!

Certainly! Here is the corrected version:"Love the food and ambiance. We tried several dishes, and all were so tasty. The service was good. Also, the restaurant is dog-friendly, so we could take our little baby with us."

Well not much of a menu, and what is on there is really overpriced. If you ate before you go there you might be full after eating their tiny portions... it's laughable.Good thing was it's not crowded.

Hands down one of the best restaurants I've tried so far!! Ngl I was a bit nervous since I've heard this place was a "tourist trap". However, I think the ratings are well deserved and everything from the service to ambiance to food was on point. Rarely have seamless experiences it makes me nervous to come back a second time in case it wasn't as good Their menu always changes but highly recommend getting the duck Bao dish!! Also the mapo with duck, and reverse crispy rice! We had 4 people and got about 4-5 dishes, definitely plenty enough to share. On weekends there is also a lively back area bar for people to mingle!

We choose to make a reservation here after many recommendations from San Diego friends. It is a very popular spot as others mentioned. The interior of the restaurant and vibe were so cool, especially upstairs bar area. Dishes are meant to share. Perfect for special occasions or fun dinner out.

Very popular place downtown for company events, birthdays, milestone celebrations, and networking. Friday/Saturday night seems to be the nights here to meet people on the upstairs patio bar. (21+ restaurant, fyi). In my opinion, the food was good, but nothing to brag about. People seem to share plates here rather than order their own so be aware of that. Pros:- Beautiful inside - Strong drinks - One of the Michelin restaurants in San Diego that you can get into without a reservation most nights - Valet parking (if you're the type to pay for that) Cons:- Not vegan/vegetarian friendly - Not gluten free friendly - Limited free parking- Sitting upstairs near the outside gets very loud- Came here for my birthday and got the worst service ever. Had to flag down another waiter for water, ordering more food, and paying

One of the city's finer spots! Very Classy and a bit trashy... well once the drinks hit, any place can turn trashy.. lolGreat vibes Beautiful people, wicked drinks! Service is great and so are the mixologist! Could be a bit pricey for some, but hey...thats just the way things are these days. I really enjoy this place! It's a Must try for sure!

I went here for dinner with my fiancé on Saturday night and the experience was amazing! The service was very attentive and kind. We enjoyed their refreshing cocktails including Dirty Verde and Osaka Sour. They also provided us with complimentary popcorn while we waited for food :) The food overall was 10/10! Our favorite dishes out of what we ordered were the spicy shrimp and the "MAPO". Highly recommend! Also the decor and ambiance of the restaurant is relaxing and brings out nice vibes! I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a lovely night out. We will definitely be coming back!
