Kentone's Drive-In

I driven by Kentone's dozens of times. Kentone's is located @ 551 W 18th Street. Today as I was heading north on the Dan Ryan Expressway I exited @ CanalportKentone's is on the triangular site where Canalport meets w/18th street. Kentone's has a fairly large menu option w/breakfast items, sandwiches,soups, salads. I drove by @ about 11:30 & decided to stop in & try their gyro. I was a little disappointed by the gyro meat as it was dry, over cooked & lacked flavor. They open @ 6am & do have a nice sized breakfast menu. I think the next time I go back I'll try the breakfast burrito

I'm a whore for miles and since this restaurant is in the AA advantage dining program I finally decided to try it after passing it for a decade en route to the expressway. For lunch I ordered, homemade chicken noodle soup and a salad . The salad was fresh, crisp with perfectly cooked chicken, the soup was bland and somewhat cold I probably would not order it again. I'd be remiss if I didn't express my disdain for the styrofoam the items are served in, its 2022 there are better options! All in all solid spot if your in the area!

Kentone's is the spot for breakfast burritos. Trust me. Some things don't need too many notes. Fluffy eggs, hashbrowns (I like my hashbrowns cut the right way, no wedges or squares for this girls), ham, . . . Check it out if you're not salivating already after reading this honest review.They have what you need when you're craving fast food with integrity and service. Check it out! Highly recommended. They are definitely a taste of Chicago.

This place has good variety of diner food. It's affordable and it's quick. During the quarantine they do suggest to phone ahead. I ordered the steak and egg sandwich just to mix things up and it was quite a pleasant surprise.There was a generous amount of steak in that sandwich. It was all made inside a nicely toasted bread. I recommend adding your favorite condiment to it just for extra flavor. Their salsa verde would be my choice for next time. I actually happen to have some honey mustard on hand so I put some of that and it was mwah!For those that want to eat there, unfortunately due to the pandemic a lot of the indoor seating has been put to the side. However, there is a table outside on the side of the diner too. I appreciate that this diner is humble not too many flares, just good food.

Is this place good? Stop it! You already know. There is a reason the parking lot has cars in it all day long. Store is clean, staff is friendly and most of all the food slams.

Kentone's has decent food, decent prices, and pleasant customer service. They have a lot of food options and don't mind customizing orders-- they get then right too!

Five stars just for their french fries!My co-workers are crazy about fries! Believe me that's all they talk about! Fries fries fries and fries!And they always love the fries from here! I lived here in the loop for so many years and I don't even realize that this place exist until my co-workers tell me.For me it's just a regular fries! So five stars just because my co-workers love them!

Such a cute little hidden gem. Due to COVID you're only able to get it to go, but I wouldn't mind coming back one day after the pandemic is done.We had the regular cheeseburger, charbroiled chicken burger, French fries, and onion rings. All of them tasted amazing, although the cheeseburger was my favorite! It tasted so fresh and well made. Plus the workers were all friendly since the moment we walked in.

Good breakfast, great portions, taste like a home cooked meal. Saturday morning in and out.

Great dive diner! Super cheap and good food for the price. Had the breakfast burrito and was very happy with it. I plan to come back often and try different things.
