I stumbled upon this and it was confirmed by a friend as a good place when I asked since it was in their neck of the woods. It's a modern, but chic-looking establishment. It has a nice bar area where I sat and had amazing, fast and friendly service from the bartender. She made my drinks to perfection as well. The beef bulgogi lettuce wraps appetizer could have been a meal on its own but I decided to take it further and continue with the hibachi option and got the hibachi steak option with noodle and rice. IT did NOT disappoint. The portions were very large and I was happy because I had lunch for work the next day lol My ginger salad was actually much fresher than I'm used to as well, and the miso soup were was your round the way dish. Overall, I'd definitely recommend!

It was alright. I've been there twice, strictly because my family likes hibachi and most of them go there for birthday celebrations. Both times, we had to wait about a half hour after our reservation for tables. As I don't really care for the performance food, I usually just get sushi or whatever. One time I had the sushi cake, hand rolls and Toro. The Toro is "fatty tuna," the hand rolls were hand rolls and the sushi cake is described as "Layered sushi rice, spicy tuna, avocado, tempura crunch topped with eel sauce, spicy mayo and tobiko."The food itself was very expensive and the packed house experience is less than inviting. I'm just not the type of person who enjoys such settings, but I suck it up for special occasions. Still, I can't bring down the business because it's "not for me," as everyone else seemed to enjoy themselves. It's not easy to park on a busy night either. The fried ice cream was also very tasty and well prepared. Again, the food was good because I chose to stray from the heavy sodium and high frying. But it costs to do so. Best, A.

We first came here about a year ago and had an absolutely horrible experience and tonight we tried to go to our usual hibachi place in Clayton but they had a long wait so we decided to give this place a second chance maybe the first time they were just having an off night. Now I can say this place truly is terrible. We got there and they sat us within the time they quoted us. Upon sitting down we were seated about 3 seats behind the grill so we couldn't even see the grill which is the whole point of going to a hibachi place is to watch them cook but instead got a great view of the chefs back and his food cart which was right in front of us but that wasn't the worse part. It started when we went to sit down I noticed a nice long hair draped across my plate and napkin. I handed the hostess sitting us the plate and point out the hair and proceeded to take the plate Turn around, take the hair off it and then just set it back down as if we weren't paying attention. After that we waited an hour before the chef even came out to start cooking. The chef and waitress were great but everything else was terrible. We got there at 7:30 and didn't leave until 10pm and we just got two entrees with no appetizer or drinks and it was over $90 with tip. Please go down the road to Kobe for a faster, cheaper and more pleasant experience.

We went to celebrate our Anniversary and Valentine's Day and had an amazing chef Mauricio. My partner ordered the Land & Sea with Scallops and I had the Jumbo Shrimp. It was soooo good. The scallops were cooked perfectly (I took a bite). I love that you get both rice & noodles. I was skeptical because the reviews were only 3 stars but it definitely must have changed something. I was glad that we enjoyed it as much as we did so I don't have to drive all the way to Crabtree to go to Kanki. I think they remodeled the place because it looked different from the last time I almost ate there. It was super chill at the hibachi grill and our server Ceasar was also super attentive. He made sure I didn't have any onions because I am allergic.

TLDR: Teppanyaki-style restaurant in Garner with excellent food and large portions. Pricy, but comparable to kanki and worth it for the occasional treat.Oooh a Japanese steakhouse in Garner?? Yay! As fans of Kanki in Crabtree, we were excited to try out Kaze. While sick, I was craving rice and miso soup so we ordered takeout from here. It is pricy, but we knew it would be having been to this style of restaurant before. The menu is very similar to kanki or similar teppanyaki-style restaurants. I appreciate this since it was easy to order. We chose the hibachi shrimp dinner and steak dinner. It was delicious and exactly what I was craving. The miso soup was perfect and everything was flavored well. Plus we received a lot of white sauce. When ordering you can choose between the white sauce, ginger sauce, or both. I recommend the white sauce with the hibachi and the ginger dressing for the salad. The salads were fresh and crisp. The portion sizes are quite large so I made one entree last 3-4 meals. Even with takeout, the meal was warm when it arrived. The items were packaged well and ready for pick-up when expected. Overall, we had a great experience here and recommend this restaurant to others!

Their new location. Is beautiful. They have stepped it up in all fronts including price. We weren't able to get a grill seat soon enough, so we ate at a table. The food was amazing. My husband got the sashimi deluxe. It was pretty incredible. I child shared my hibachi...which was plenty of food for both of us. The service was great. Everyone was in great spirits. We will be back.

It's very good hibachi. Visiting place such as this are always a much better value at lunch though. Our meal was a Birthday Celebration and the food at Kaze is in abundance! There is plenty of parking and certain parts of the restaurant are spacious.. However, the actual Hibachi table are some what cramped.. especially for the folks that end up at the end.. You are literally right up against the table backed up against you. And, the chefs cooking cart is your front view.. For example, not like Kanki where the table are a clean separation from each other. Would recommend. Customer service was fair.

Food had no flavor! The rice was still white no sauce or seasoning at all. The noodles were very bland. I feel like my money was wasted and I was highly upset with this being my first time

I have debated this for a long time as I come to Kaze very often and have loved the food for so long, but the list of negatives are becoming way longer than the positives. I am writing this as I sit in the restaurant booth right now waiting on a server to come take our drinks. We have been waiting for 25 minutes and had multiple servers pass by and look at us. People that walked in after us had already received their food. I was here a few weeks ago and received brown lettuce. A few pieces had spots that looked like mold. I asked for another salad and it came out the same exact way? Like, was it not looked at when I just told you that it was nasty? I recently had a to go order (for dinner) and they did not give me soup. I walked back in and explained this to them and the person at the counter made me look so stupid with and attitude and said "When you get a kids order you do not get soup". I then had to explain to him I did not get a kids order and I get take out all the time and it always comes with soup. Over the past 6 months I have been at-least 5+ times and 3 of those times my chicken has been so chewy I can't chew it. It literally feels like I'm chewing rubber or blubber. I am truly just so fed up. I understand fast food, or even some restaurants but when I am paying $60-80 for two people to eat. I would assume it would be good. Again, this is so hard for me to say because I have loved this restaurant for as long as I can remember and I am the kind of person to not say a word even if my food is ordered wrong... but this is getting ridiculous and I likely won't be returning. As I am typing this, we have our appetizer shrimp, and salad but no forks to eat it with. It's now been sitting here for 5 minutes (we've asked for forks twice).Someone let me know when the service gets better.
