Food:The plates here are generous, with large portions that satisfy both appetite and taste buds. The chicken teriyaki was flavorful. The salad is well-balanced, not overly saucy, and the macaroni and potato salad hit the mark, being perfectly seasoned without any excessive sweetness. I like the orange slice as well. The miso soup is good, decently packed with tofu and seaweed, making it more than just a broth. The Lion's Yellowtail Roll was a particular favorite, with fresh fish inside and out, paired with a perfect sauce. The Jessica Albacore Roll, with its crispy toppings, added a nice crunch. It's also a roll with fresh fish inside and on top which is my favorite kind. Service:The service was attentive and efficient. Ambiance:The ambiance was comfortable. A lot of families come here to eat.

Called for over 20 minutes, a total of about 6 or 7 phone calls to place a pick up order and they never answered.Not to put me on hold, not to say they were busy.They just simply did not pick up the phone - on a Tuesday.

Nice cafe with large menu selection to choose from. Great place to go with a group if feeling indecisive, there's something for everyone on the menu. Order before you sit. There is a lot of seating, but it can get packed.Big portions was a plus, but flavor was lacking in some dishes.

Been coming here for a while. The sushi rolls are pretty consistent, lots of other options to consider. Order before seating. Casual dining area with both booths and tables, indoor and outdoor. Friendly staff, decent prices, and happy hour available.

This Japanese style restaurant offers a variety of Japanese dishes from ramen to sushi to teriyaki. Their lunch specials are outstanding, especially on Wednesdays. We love their teriyaki dishes. Service was friendly and fast. The restaurant was clean, welcoming and bright. This is a solid place for informal lunch or dinner.

If you're looking for a great place to eat with lots of choices, Katsu Cafe is the place to go! They specialize in sushi and it is great! Located in Clairemont right across from 99 Ranch Market, I can't say anything bad about this place. Their food is great, service is superb, and prices are affordable. We got the chicken teriyaki bento plate and it is so full of food! It came with everything in the food group. You got your protein, carbs, veggies, and even a slice of orange. The sushi choices are great too! We've had a few rolls there and can't complain. This is definitely a place to try out!

Went here on a Saturday night with 2 other people. There was a line at the cashier but it moved quickly. Plenty of seating available and the decor was homey-Hawaiian style.We ordered the katsu curry plates. Rice was Japanese, mac salad was pretty good. I got the tonkatsu which was juicy and tender. The chicken katsu was really dry. The ebi furai was sweet and tender. Curry was also pretty good. For the price, $14 including tax and tip this was such a great deal. Definitely coming back to try their other dishes, especially the tempura platter and the noodles.

We have been eating here for years... since it was the Teri Cafe. Food has been good and sometimes not good. The last time we went we were charged $4.50 extra for chicken breast instead of thigh. For a $8.95 teriyaki chicken bowl, $4.50 extra is ridiculous. I think before it was $1.50 extra. I feel like $13.45 for a small chicken bowl is high. This place is showing its age and needs to be renovated and cleaned up. I'm thinking we may not be back because the atmosphere and the food is just not worth it.

Really a good spot for a variety of food options. The portion size is huge and comes most of the plate comes either side of rice, salad, soup. The sushi rolls were amazing. We tried the katsu chicken place, teriyaki chicken, sushi and spicy miso ramen! Service was fast and food came in early. Ambiance is nothing too fancy but they have tables outside and we loved sitting and basking in the winter sun !

Rating: 4.5 Feel like this place is a hidden gem given the price and portions sizes. Ordered a chicken katsu plate for 14.50 which comes with rice, miso soup, green salad and potato salad and an eel hand roll for 5.95. The chicken katsu had a nice crispy coating, and was a sizable cut while the potato salad for me feel a bit short in terms of flavor and texture. The hand roll was a bit on the pricier end but I still enjoyed the flavor. Overall I would come back here to get another plate. Loved that the plate came with an orange slice for the end of your meal too. They have a bunch of lunch/dinner and all day long specials that I would like to try. Specially the Monday chicken teriyaki and fried rice for $10.75 which includes a soft drink.
