Kathakali has shown up on some lists when I have searched for Indian food in various places. I wanted to try it since it was specific to a region (Kerala) which is known for spicy food. We arrived fairly early on a Saturday and it was already busy with dine-in and take-out. Our server seemed concerned when I ordered the Kasargod Chemeen Masala (spicy shrimp dish with chillies, garlic and spices in a tomato base). I told her I would order a side of raita to save myself! We also ordered a "gunpowder" dosa, Vegetable Ishtoo and Malabar Parotta. Spouse also insisted on his standard tandoori chicken. I can see why the server warned us! The shrimp curry was fire, but also delicious. The actual shrimp seemed slightly overcooked, but we took the container of sauce home to used sparingly on rice later. The dosa was definitely my favorite dish. I wanted it all for myself, but shared of course. I liked the Ishtoo, but I had just made one from Meera Sodha's Fresh India book, and her recipes are kind of hard to beat. Service is brisk, and the environment is pleasant enough for eating in. I would definitely return to try more of their unique dishes you don't see at every Indian restaurant.

Service is fairly efficient. Food: kale cashew pakora- this had a lot of chickpea batter around each item, drier. Not spicy at all, comes the coconut dip. 3.5/5pancharatna adai- nice crispy layer on outside, rest is quite thick since it's a lentil batter. 3/5vegetable ishtoo- this is a white curry, and somehow quite spicy. Good mixture of vegetables like cauliflower carrot green beans and potatoes. 4/5Hibiscus mint tea- this strangely didn't come with ice so it was luke warm. Otherwise, the flavor is pretty nice with a good amount of hibiscus flavor. When we left around 7:30pm was when long lines started to form outside the restaurant, with many cars turning into the parking lot.

As an aspiring dosa connoisseur, I can confidently say this was some of the best dosa I've had. I had the gunpowder dosa(personal favorite) which was not as spicy as expected but had great flavor very good. Shortly after I enjoyed the Chaka thoran dosa (unique as it has jackfruit). Also the classic masala dosa (great) and the beetroot kurma which was also different for me and great. All the food was great and the people who worked there were super accommodating and friendly. Definitely some of the best dosa I've had and would happily come back.

I was excited to try this! The curry was delicious , garlic naan bread was so good. My husband had the butter chicken, it was good but not the best. The chai tea was quite awful. The pistachio lassi wasn't that great. But the curry and garlic naan made it worth it! Service was average. The waiter didn't smile but whatever haha. I'll be back for the curry!

The service and food was pretty nice here. We received the food quickly. We ordered the medhu vadai and it was so good. It is served with sambar and 2 chutneys. There are some green chili in the vadai! The picture only shows 1 on the plate but it comes with 3.We also ordered garlic naan, butter chicken, and beetroot korma. All the dishes were great. The Chai was ok and that's the only thing I wouldn't order again.

Thanks Yelp for this gem of a find! I have been craving dosas for weeks now and we happened to be in Kirkland today. I searched up a spot that served dosas and this place popped up. We were a bit early as they opened at 5 pm.... But to my surprise a lot of people were waiting in their cars for this place to open up! That definitely got me excited. You know the food is good when there are people waiting outside before it even opens up! The service inside was amazing - they made sure to check on everyone - the place filled up pretty quickly! I can only speak for my dosa and sambar and idli that I got and they were delicious. Of course I think my mom's is better but this was pretty close. My husband got the butter chicken + garlic naan and was happy with his meal too. So glad to have found this spot and can't wait to come back again!

We ordered papad, tandoori chicken and white truffle oil masala dosa. I enjoyed the food but I remember it being a lot better. I am not sure if they had an off day but it wasn't that good. The tandoori chicken was slightly overcooked and the chutney for the dosa was alright. I wish the dosa had more of a white truffle oil taste, it felt doused in some other oil. All the food came really quick but they brought all our food together so my dosa got cold by the time I finished my appetizer. The restaurant is pretty cramped, I would avoid coming here with a large group!

Having "an executive" call your customers when you receive anything less than 5 stars is absolutely insane. Having said executive then threaten to fire an employee who made a simple mistake, while at the same time demanding that I take my 4 star review down?? Absolutely clinically insane. Congratulations, you played yourself because I won't be back as a customer. Great food, decent service when you're in the restaurant. But placing an order over the phone and having it go to a "call center"? Be for real. Not even acknowledging order notes on Uber Eats, resulting in incorrect orders every single time? You deserved to lose the star. But now you lose a customer as well. I will not be removing my previous reviews, as your "executive" demanded. If you want a 5 star review, be worthy of one. Don't send employees to harass customers when it was your employees that lead to the review in the first place.

Me and my husband wanted try this since sometime and friends recommended it too. Exquisite kerala style South Indian food. Everything that we ordered was delicious! What we ate:Parippu vadai , comes with coconut chutney (shared)Chakka thoran dosa - absolutely loved the jackfruit/ coconut filling it comes with (found it better than the usual potato masala) - their chutneys and sambhar were on point (shared)I ordered Palakkad Avial for my vegetarian curry, comes with rice. My husband ordered Lobster coconut curry with Kerala Parota. We both loved what we ordered! Also tried the different Indian beers they had and my favorite was 1947.The dessert options are as interesting as the rest of the menu. We tried their Chaka Ela Ada and liked that. Can't wait to come back and try more things. I'm already eyeing kerala appam and jackfruit ice cream!!The restaurant opens at 5 pm for dinner and we reached around 5:15 for an early dinner. The place was packed and busy by 5:45. Highly recommend coming early and have a feast. The service is quick! For curries, they gave us a heads up when we ordered that it'll take 25 mins because the kitchen was busy. So we were mentally prepared and ordered another beer to try The interiors and seating is basic, nothing fancy. Their focus is on food and service. The Juanita beach and bay park are closely to walk before/ after the meal.
