Kate's Greek & American

Kates used to be a great place to come for breakfast.. I'm not sure what happened though, it feels like maybe they just stopped caring. Every table seemed crusty and unclean, my order was input incorrectly, the food came out with a hair in it.. And to top it all off they raised prices and made the portions smaller. I understand the state of the world and prices increasing all over, but less food for more money? It's sad to see Kates fall so hard, but they really need a restaurant makeover asap - I don't think i would come back again.

This was my first time in since Kate had retired, and it did not disappoint! It's still a wonderful "little hole in the wall" with friendly and efficient service, delicious food, fair prices, and neat original art on the walls. Menus are at each table under the glass which I appreciate for sanitation purposes, and The Eggs Benedict and Chicken Fried Steak were cooked perfectly and piping hot. The only thing I wish their menu had was a vegetarian gravy option so I could enjoy their biscuits and gravy, but they still have several veggie-friendly options to choose from!

I really love this place. It's a great place to have a nice meal with a staff that you can tell love their jobs. Everyone is so nice and makes you feel so welcome. ALSO, the food is amazing. I can't get enough of the Greek special scramble and the bacon....oh baby, it's good thick, juicy,delicious. It's just a great place to eat! Please give em a try.

This place is so good! My kids are constantly begging to go back. The food and service are both great, and the prices are good as well. I also like that it's different from the ususal chain brunch restaurants. 5/5 stars from my family!

I've been to Kate's on three separate visits in the hopes that maybe I just ordered something weak or that it was a bad day. Unfortunately the food has been consistently mediocre: dry, thick, paste-like hummus, oily deep fried spanokopita, blandly seasoned overall and small portions for the price. The positive: The service has always been good and consistent and the servers are friendly and attentive.

It's a small place but there is seating inside and outside so there were lots of people there but it wasn't crowded.The service was great. Quick and friendly!I thought the selection on the menu wasn't the best. It's half breakfast items, which is not what I wanted.I had the patty melt with fries. The burger was pretty good and the fries were great. They gave me a lot of fries.A downside is that their soda is in a can and it's $2.75. That seems pretty high for a can of Coke. I would just get water next time.The area has lots of street parking and I was able to get a good spot on a busy Saturday.

One of my proudest little restaurant discoveries. I took all my friends here and took my now wife on a first date here. I live down south now, but if I ever find myself in the area I will 100% be stopping by. They have a wide range menu, great for breakfast or lunch (always go for breakfast though). Great service, always busy, always good food. The jam will always have my heart.

Good chicken fried steak. I thought there may have been a little more breading than steak, but it tasted good nonetheless.

Simple straight forward American Greek. Not fancy. Polite service serving locals. Greek salad was large and the meat was fresh from the spit. Ambiance fits the neighborhood, a bit rough around the edges at first appearance, but good working people.

Perfect for my needs! Local great food with charming neighborhood vibes. Art work for sale is always a good thing and a hook for me. Breakfast and lunch is loaded with classics and Greek specialties. As I search for the best local cafe for travelers this place fills the bill! Oh and I love that home hot sauce.
