I got the caterpillar role and loved it Husband got the chicken teriyaki and loved it. It came with miso soup. Got the seaweed salad with cucumber salad. The cucumbers were really home made pickles. Subtle flavor. Friendly staff and comfortable dining room. Will come back

Stopped by after a concert for dinner. First time here. I had it in my collections as "Want to Go". I had read a Yelp review by a yelper I know that had highly recommended it. I was not disappointed. A good size restaurant. It's also a sports bar so that was an added bonus as the Padres were on (and winning). Very clean and comfortable seating. We got two of the special rolls. I don't like nori so very happy they do soy paper. I didn't realize I ordered rolls that come without rice so looking forward to coming back to try ones with rice. They have a great deal that if you dine in you get 40% off the specials. So our $22.95 rolls were only $13.77. They also had a sign in the window for a free dessert if you did a yelp review. We opted for the cappuccino macaroon ice cream sandwich. It was fabulous. Our waiter Chris was great and the whole staff was very attentive. They also did a generous pour on my delicious Pinot Grigio. We will definitely come back.

It's been way too long since I've come back for some of my favorite sushi! I used to work really close by and would come in all the time. Although I don't come here and much as I would like, they are still so consistent! One of the things I love about Katana is they a specials menu and that the rolls change every month. I typically order off this menu and this time was not different. I ordered the SDS roll which is a no rice roll and the Samurai roll. I loved both of them! The SDS roll is a spin off of their ex-girlfriend roll which is my absolute favorite! Their sushi is always fresh and the service is great! The owner is also the sweetest! She does a great job of remembering so many customers!

Been coming to Katana for many years now and it's a family favorite. Sushi is fresh and they accommodate dietary requests. Staff is very friendly and efficient. We truly enjoy trying all their rolls including the ones that are 40%off for dine-in specials. Don't skip on dessert! Mochi and macaroon ice cream sandwiches is the perfect way to top off this meal!

Solid sushi spot! Can't say enough about the Oceanside roll! Quite possibly one of my favorite sushi rolls of all time. The Katana bomb roll is also delicious and comes with small tempura shrimp bites. Super filling and delicious. Perfect amount of heat. Alaskan roll is basic but tasty. The lemon roll is also tasty, no heat, good lemon flavor. Mixed tempura was fresh and solid. Service was attentive and bonus free macaroon if you check in on Yelp. Very tasty, made by outside bakery. Perfect after dinner treat.

NO HONOR! WARNING, They refused to honor their posted deal, "Buy 2 Beers, Get 1 House Sake for 1 cent".When I requested the sake on the deal, they then claimed it has to be the same beers and size. Then also claimed Orion brand isn't included. Nowhere on their sign does it state the above or any details. It felt the waitress made it up as she went on.I didn't judge on my first visit. On my first visit I got the sashimi which was very average and service marginal. I thought it may have just been a bad night for them. On this second visit, I felt the food and service could have been better again. I really hoping on a more positive visit and a good review. The sushi rolls / hand rolls were loose and fell apart. The seaweed on the hand roll was damp. Service was very average. Also, they didn't honor the Yelp check-in offer even after informing them of the deal.Sadly, this second visit was less impressive than the first Overall, while not horrible, it was a very unsatisfactory experience. I so hoped it would have been better. I know they are capable of far more.
