Karsen's Grill

I have to say I've passed this place on a number of occasions without stopping. Unfortunate circumstances with my vehicle left me stranded and I sought respite at Karson's during the heat waiting for a repair. Not only was the staff absolutely amazing and kind, but the food is absolutely out of this world. I would recommend this place one hundred times over! If you find yourself in the area, definitely stop in. I know I will be in the future!

Karsen's Grill is that little gem tucked away in Old Town, It is small but oh, is it worth the wait! Think little dive bar in the middle of Old Town with a culinary genius for a chef and a cocky, yet attentive crew. It is pricey for the atmosphere for sure, but trust me..that's NOT why you're here.Let's start with the burgers, my personal favorite. The Vermont and the Mushroom Nior are my personal heroes here. The Mushroom Nior deserves its own fan club--seriously, it's a burger so good, I might propose to it on one knee. And hey, if you're into challenges, try finishing the Nachos made with Delmonico steak in one go. Spoiler alert: you'll need a squad of friends or a really ambitious appetite.Past the burger, EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE AMAZING. I haven't had one thing yet that I was not blown away by.Now, about the bartenders. Rocky's like that mischievous older sibling who's constantly trying to outwit you with his snarky yet endearing humor. It's like a game of wit tennis, and trust me, he serves up laughs faster than you can say "extra cheese." Meanwhile, Sam, Wick, and Heidi keep the vibe cool and the drinks flowing with smiles that could power a small city.So, if you're looking for a place where the food is the highlight and the wait is just a prelude to flavor paradise, Karsen's Grill is your spot. Just remember to bring your appetite, your wallet, and your sense of humor--it's so worth it!

Wow are we glad we waited for a table! First off, don't let the small dining room size put you off. Get in line and just hunker down. First time visitor and it won't be my last time. These guys have their business dialed in! They know how to serve their customers with a small, yet efficient staff. Try a little of everything and share with your friends! We got the fried pickles to start. And this is a bold statement but I've not had better than these fried pickles. Next I had The Dip. She was smaller than I anticipated but ended up being the perfect portion. We also enjoyed their onion rings and fish special. Everything hit!Cocktails...not so much. While they have a full bar, the old fashioned wasn't really an old fashioned. If they named it something else I would say it was a good drink. But for next time I will stick to the basics of a cold beer with great food.

When you find a gem like this place there is an internal struggle - shout it from the mountain tops, or keep it to yourself?Here I am shouting from the mountain tops- this place is too great. Service is great. Ambiance is great. Food was amazing. What else do you need?Can't wait to go back- a lot.

$20 for 2 beers. Really guys? Is this the most expensive pint in Arizona? And no happy hour? I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.

What a cool spot. It's super small and filled with regulars but they make anyone feel right at home. We grabbed a seat at the bar and the bartender quickly introduced herself and gave us the rundown. It was just her and one other guy running the show but you could tell they ran it like a well oiled machine. Everything on the menu sounded delicious and several regulars around us confirmed you couldn't go wrong. I settled on the Red Bird Sandwich and was quite happy with my choice! It also came with a small side salad which I enjoyed. We'll definitely return next time we're in town.Thanks for making us feel right at home!

Highly recommend this restaurant. The food here is amazing and the service is top notch. The little ones loved the food too which says a lot because they are very picky. We will definitely be back next time we are busting AZ.

I brought my mom to Scottsdale for a Mayo appointment in May. We had an early dinner at Karsen's Grill. Can I just say that my 91 year old mom STILL raves about their Big Ass BLT (it's now JMy cousin and her husband joined us, we all enjoyed their BLTs, my cousin ordered onion rings as her side, it was as large as a full order. The service was fun and friendly as well. We will be back next year!

This is one of the best spots to grab a bite. Their food is absolutely amazing no matter what you order. It's a smaller spot but definitely worth the wait. Very friendly and good service, ambiance is fun and chill to be in. It can get pretty busy but if you have an opportunity to go in for food, you have to!
