When I am craving Mexican seafood this is where I go. My favorite dish? Aguachiles. They are spicy and refreshing. I ask for saltine crackers, tostadas and mayo. This is big enough to share as an appetizer or as a main entree for one. I usually have it with either a margarita or a Dos Equis beer. It varies in heat depending on the fresh Serrano peppers they use. As for the service it varies on the day and time. There are times when they are attentive especially if you sit at the bar. But if you sit in the back the servers hardly come by. The ambiance is good early in the week it can be chill and on Thursday to Saturday it is a party in the evening with either DJs or live music and sometimes people dancing. It can be fun and unexpected for the area. There was only one instance where it was lunch time on a Monday that me and my friend couldn't hear each other while we were sitting right next to each other because the music was deafening.

The ambiance is the only thing worth mentioning. The food is overpriced. I got two tacos for $18. The steak used in the tacos had a bunch of fatty pieces I had to cut off before eating. The drinks are too sweet with only a hint of alcohol. Came for dinner and left with indigestion...would not recommend.

Karina's is not what it used to be. Yes the design is beautiful, food is 6/10, service 5/10. Went in today, asked for a highchair several times, never delivered. Apparently you have ho request chips and salsa no, its not automatically brought to you anymore, and I asked 4 different times so turn the heater on (beside us), it was never done. The waitresses are only hired on bust size not brain cells.

It was my first time here, and I probably won't be back. Our waitress didn't seem like she loved her job at all. Maybe the girl was having a bad day/shift. The food was expensive and not the best. The only bad thing I can say about Karina's is how long we waited for our main entrees, but I'll get to that later. Came here on a Thursday evening. It wasn't packed at all. The hostess sat us right away. Indoor and outdoor seating are available. We were given chips and salsa upon sitting down and drinks came out fairly quickly. We were also served fresh guacamole which was a nice experience. Our servers were so sweet. Idk why so many people complain about them. They were also attentive. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp taco (my favorite of the night) and a Pescado (fish) taco. The blended margaritas are really good too! Super tasty. My husband ordered the fajitas with All three proteins. Super flavorful. We love the sauce it's marinaded in. We had leftovers and my husband made it into an omelette the next morning. Ahhh such a great decision. I loved how the appetizers came out quickly , but our main meals took about 45 minutes. Fortunately my husband and I weren't in a rush or hangry, but I can see why this would upset most people. One interesting thing about this restaurant is they only offer happy hour to people who sit at the bar or outside. We came here during happy hour and decided to sit inside. Wasn't a big deal, I'll probably update this review once we go for happy hour again.

It's been a few years since I've been to a Karina's location. I went in with my girls for a Sunday brunch and honestly it was really good. Everything we had was really tasty and we all enjoyed our food. I had a ceviche tostada and a battered shrimp taco. We got the table side guacamole and a few draft beers. The server was quick and attentive. I love the outdoor patio

Sigh, where do I even start. My husband and I finally decided to go on a date after almost a year of our baby being born. We were looking forward to having a relaxing and great time while enjoying each others company which was far from what happened.When we got to Karina's there were only 3 tables full- meaning they weren't busy at all. To start, our server seemed a bit distracted. She asked for our order more than once. When I went to the bathroom I saw her coming out of a stall crying- awkward. A few minutes after going back to my table my husband and I saw our server leaving her apron and leaving the restaurant. We thought she was taking her break, but she never came back. Another person started to serve us without an explanation or introduction.We ordered an aguachile and 2 orders of 2 tacos each. The tacos were delicious. When my husband started to serve himself from the aguachile, I saw a black long hair coming out of a shrimp. We waited a while for either a server or manager to walk by- but nothing. I had to get up and tell someone. They removed it from our table and offered to bring a new one. We agreed. Did I forget to mention that when they brought out the aguachile they did not bring us tostadas nor a serving spoon? I had to ask multiple people to finally get them to our table.Second aguachile- we waited a good 30 min for the second aguachile to get to our table. Finally, the manager took the aguachile to our table without an apology or saying anything. Ok?I serve myself my first tostada and I'm eating it with such delight when I see a long blonde hair coming out of another shrimp. Ay ya yay! This can't be happening to us AGAIN?! I tell the server and she questioned the hair. She said no one in the back kitchen has blonde hair. She did. Whoever prepped the shrimp could have. I hate being like this but I just couldn't believe this was happening to us. First date night after having our 8 month baby girl and we were having such a horrible experience!!! Instead of having it remake the aguachile a third time we asked for tacos. Waited yet another 30 min.When we asked for the bill everything was charged for. Aguachile and all. Upon leaving the restaurant I did express to the manager- Ismael- how disappointed we were with the service and the lack of costumer service from his behalf. He did not once apologize for the hairs in our food. He did not once apologize for our server leaving us without an explanation. He did not once asked if everything was good. He did not once offer to not charge the aguachile we did not even eat. Poor service. Poor food quality. Poor customer service. I will be making a phone call to corporate and follow up on this.
