This a legit mom and pop shop. Came in here looking for sushi and Lao food, low and behold it's Lao owned. Food definitely did not disappoint and most definitely satisfied my tastebuds. Service is awesome! Friendly staff, and the owner came out to chat with me. Made me feel so welcome. It's not a huge spot but it feels at home. Will definitely come back before my training is over and I have to return back to Atlanta.

I'm on a mission to find great sushi places near the Murfreesboro area and ran across this hidden gem. First time coming here and I definitely will be back. I went around the time they first opened so it wasn't busy at all and was able to come in and sit right down. The setting was very casual and relaxed. The waiter was very attentive and checked on us throughout the duration of our lunch. I ordered the spring rolls for appetizer, as well as the Temptation roll. They brought out complimentary soup before we even ordered which I've never seen done at any sushi restaurant before but I loved it and the soup was out of this world. The spring rolls came out smoking hot so you definitely get fresh food when you come. The Temptation roll was sooooo delicious it came with crab meat, shrimp, masago, scallions, eel sauce and a special sauce and the presentation was 10/10. There were so many other things I wanted to try on the menu that sound good so I will be back to try them. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I requested my order without eel sauce and they disregarded my request and brought it out anyway with eel sauce. The waiter just said "sorry". He was at the end of his shift and apparently just wanted to go. Go to Publix for better sushi.

New ownership. They kept the name and menu selections and raised prices on everything A LOT.

My mom and I really enjoyed our lunch here! We ordered the salmon sashimi combo, khao soup noodles with pork belly, and chicken satay. The chicken satay was definitely a bit dry, but our entrees were great. The quality of the raw salmon was fantastic; it was fresh and buttery. The khao soup had really delicious noodles that were thick and slightly chewy. Our waiter was very attentive and checked on us often. I was surprised to find good food in an unassuming strip mall.

My girlfriend and I have been looking for a good sushi place around Smyrna, and we stopped here today. We ordered online, our order was ready quickly and we were notified when it was ready for pickup. The service was great, and the restaurant seemed very clean and nice.We ordered 4 rolls to try a variety. Three of these rolls did not say anything about sauce being on them. Personally, I'm not a huge fan on sweet sushi sauces, and if these ingredients are on the menu, I usually steer clear of them. Every single one of our rolls were slathered in these sauces. One was a more savory, spicy sauce, while the other was a sweeter (eel?) sauce. These sauces' inclusion were not stated on the menu. The rolls themselves, ingredients wise, were pretty solid. They were filled nicely, and a little on the larger side. The fish was a good portion, the rice was fine, and the nori was greatHopefully in the future they will decide to put these sauces on the side. Without these sauces, this sushi would be pretty good! If I ever go back, I would request the sauces off or on the side, but the amount that was on the sushi itself really made the entire roll taste only of sauce.

I dined at Karen Thai & Sushi on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 7 pm. Their regular and sushi menus are impressive with wide selections to choose from; I've never seen a fusion restaurant with such big menus. Appetizers:* Spicy crabmeat salad was flavorful and the presentation looked great. Would recommend if you like spicy. * Avocado salad was good and I appreciated that the salad was not heavily drenched in dressing. * Summer roll shrimp itself was not bad, but the peanut sauce was very thick and overwhelmed with peanut butter. Personally, I think the peanut sauce should have a velvety consistency. * Fried calamari and chicken wings were fried too long or fried at very high temperature as the colors were very dark. I wouldn't recommend those. * Thai yum yum sausage was okay, but I had better at other Thai/Laos restaurants. The presentation could use some improvements. * Yum Talay's seasoning and sauce was good and the seafood tasted fresh. However, the onions didn't taste fresh and I was a little disappointed to be turned off by the dish. I would recommend if it's just a fluke. Entrees: Both sushi's (volcano and spicy crazy tuna) were really good. Presentation was nice and not something you normally see at your average sushi restaurant. The pad Thai was too wet for my taste, but the flavor was okay. The service was friendly and food came out in reasonable time. Considering there were only two servers, the attentiveness was still appreciable. This place is definitely worth visiting to try their large cohesive menus.

Food was good but order was all messed up and stuff was left off that we ordered. Sauces on rolls that were asked to be left off, no wings ever came, salads were replaced by something they assumed we would like better

Under New Management. We really enjoy Thai cuisine, so finding a local spot that serves authentic food was exciting. We have been coming here for a while and have found our favorites on the menu. For me, that is the pad see ew.The recipe for this completely changed since new management took over. The vegetables they put on it are different and the sauce is not what I am accustomed to. Another thing we used to order is the pineapple fried rice. It used to be served in half a pineapple and came with plenty of pineapple. This time it came served on a regular plate with sparse bits of pineapple. It is really disappointing to find a really good spot only to have it change. The food is still better than others we have tried so we may be returning until we find a new one.
