Kaosamai Thai Food Truck

Found their food truck outside the Amazon Fresh in SODO off Lander today when I went to return a package. Their food smelled so good in the parking lot I stopped to place an order on my way out. The food was a good portion for the price & had a nice serving of protein in it. I'd been looking for a new Thai place & I was glad I found this one.

Love seeing all the food trucks in SLU!!! I never got to experience a true working environment in SLU with all the food trucks but I did get a chance to check out Kaosamai today while at the office for a rare in person meeting. Kaosamai came heavily recommended by some friends and my cousin.It's a great Thai spot! I really enjoyed the flavors and spice level of my 4/5 spice pad khee mao. My husband got the same thing and when I noticed a lack of veggies in my meal, I saw all of them had gone into his box! No big deal but would've just appreciated more vegetables in mine. I also thought celery was an interesting veggie to add to this dish as I haven't seen it before.Overall, it's a good spot! Flavor is fully there. My meal was $13 and I would've appreciated a slightly larger portion size but I am glad to have tried this food truck out!

My fave of the SLU food trucks on Amazon campus. My go to picks are the egg noodle with pork special, garlic pepper chicken, or their pad thai. They are very generous with their portions and can be enough for two meals, if you can stop yourself from polishing it off.

Ordered the beef pad see ew for lunch today and firstly want to say to bring your own bottle of soy sauce if you want to enjoy your dish with any flavor at all. It tasted entirely bland, as if just forcing down dry noodles coated in virtually no sauce. I stopped eating after four bites.

Unique? Not really. Tasty? Somewhat. Fast? No. But what do you expect from a food truck, during the food rush... oh wait, this is a food truck, and I'm outside, and it's cold, and also raining, and there is no shelter, because I'm on the street, with 20+ other people waiting for food, because it's a food truck. It's not that I should expect food to come out immediately, I'm just thinking that after all my colleagues' food has already been handed to them, and 5... 10... minutes pass, and other orders have for the other people out there have also been provided, I stand alone.. waiting. So what about the food, portion wise, good/very good portions. While my colleagues ordered noodle dishes (maybe that was my mistake)... I ordered Curried Fried Rice. I should sad, maybe it's because I dislike being the reason why everyone is standing around, in the cold.. but they unfortunately did that to me, and I'm only coming back, when I'm by myself, and ordering from the top half of the menu, as my colleagues did that, and got their food almost immediately.

Yumm ! Love the pad see ew here. Haven't eaten at the restaurant. Just the food truck. Super delish food. Slightly pricey but super tasty.

Never disappointed!This is my favorite food truck of all time! & I've been to a decent amount of food trucks throughout several cities and states.Prices are fair and the portion size is always good! The food is super flavorful. I've had the Pad See Ew, the Pad Thai and also the Pad Thai Combo meal which comes with Pad Thai, Curry and a spring roll. I always ask for extra mixed veggies, especially green onions and they always oblige. Occasionally I'll ask for extra sauce because the portions usually last me for two lunches and I don't want it to try out. Their spring rolls are the bessssssssst! Especially if you get them fresh right before the lunch rush! If I'm not super hungry sometimes I'll just get a couple spring rolls and that is enough to fill me up and also satisfy my Thai craving.Everyone here is super friendly, cheery and helpful, which makes the interaction enjoyable.The only thing that I have mixed emotions about is that sometimes the preparation of the food is inconsistent. Always good, just... not the same. I've ordered the Pad Thai with extra mixed veggies, including green onions on several occasions and sometimes they give me a lot of extra veggies and sometimes they only give me a little bit of extra. On one occasion it seemed like the only extra received was green onions. There have been equal occasions where I received exactly what I was hoping for, which was extra mixed veggies of all sorts including extra sprouts and especially extra green onions! This is when I'm REALLY happy! That said, I will still continue to return to this Pad Thai unicorn of food trucks that magically exists and may never leave unless they want to crush my dreams of forever eating Pad Thai on a weekday for lunch!

I love eating at this place!! Wonderful staff that are quite efficient at handling volume and the food is always piping hot and tastes fresh. Prices are realistic for good food. For example, today I got the asparagus mushroom w/fresh tofu (15.99) and salad rolls (7.99) Now what you may not know is last time I ate here, I counted 15 different vegetables is that dish! Unreal!!! It had 3 different kinds of mushrooms and lots of other tasty bits. Overall great little Thai restaurant, one of my faves!

Food tastes super fresh and flavorful! I ordered the Pad Thai, Spring Rolls, and Thai Tea. The sauce used for the Pad Thai was absolutely phenomenal, the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. It's a bit pricey in my opinion--$15 for the Pad Thai. However, the portions are generous so you most likely will have leftovers, which I like to think of it as 2 meals for the price of one! The Spring Rolls and Thai Tea were equally as delicious. Would recommend if you're looking for some good grub for your lunch break!

Yummy and great portions for a food truck! Went to MOHAI in the morning and thought I'd check out what Amazonians are eating nowadays. Lots of food trucks to pick from but Thai food was an easy choice. Happy we came here!
