Very nice shop. I had a bracelet where the string was about to break. The owner restrung it for me and added a silver bead for $15. Saved my bracelet. She was impressed I spoke Russian.

Despite its name, Beadazzler Beads is a cool store. They used to be around the corner on Santa Fe, and I didn't know where they moved. So I was very pleased when I spotted them on 80th Street. The staff at Beadazzler Beads is very helpful. They'll answer questions if you want; they'll leave you alone to browse if you like. And browsing can take awhile, because they have a great selection of beads. Wood, metal, crystal, stone, cloisonne -- you name it, they probably have it -- as well as the clasps, wire, and other doodads you need to make cool one-of-a-kind jewelry. Let's put it this way. If this store doesn't get your creative juices flowing, you just don't have any.

I always thought the girls who made their own jewelry were very cool and interesting - they had their own style and everyone always went crazy over their creativity. Well - now I know just how simple it is to do what these girls have done. Beadazzler Beads - and for yours and mine own sanity, let's just call it BB - is an affordable bead shop where you can experiment. To get the full range of what you can do here, let me just list it:1. Buy beads and string and clasp and do the handiwork yourself to create your own necklace for anywhere from $20 to $50. 2. Pick out everything you want and have them put together the necklace. You still get the credit for the design, and they do all the work - everyone wins!3. Bring in a photograph or a necklace and ask them to remake it - and they do. If they don't have the beads you need or something that looks identical to what it is, they will go out and find it, for no additional fee. Incredible artistic freedom has never been so cushy, you know? Girls have it so easy now - they can make their own string of pearls or their own funky bead necklace - it's really anything you want at your fingertips. I even found some silver Pandora lookalike beads for $6.00 a pop (they usually go for like $30 a pop). You can trick a lot of people - I'm telling you (for those of you who don't know, Pandora jewelry is like the it-bracelet of the year. Oprah sells it in her magazine if that explains anything. It's just a silver bracelet that you buy these silver beads for and they're very expensive). The guy in the back gave me a personal tour of the place - what a nice guy! He stopped what he was doing to explain the setup and I got the feeling he would go above and beyond to try and make a customer happy, you know? He told me that the necklaces in the glass case by the register are made by the shopkeeper but that everything else was up for redesign. The store has pre-stranded necklaces you can purchase and then use that as a base or leave it as it is. They also offer a wide range of clasps from $2.50 to $50 - it's really up to you (I'd shoot for $2.50). The coolest thing about this place to me is just the liberty it gives its clients. They're like, "GO AT IT!" It's nice to be creative and free when so many stores try to control this and that so much so that you feel like you're at the employee's mercy - which is no way to feel.

Beadazzler Beads is a great place to visit for regular beading fans, or those that are looking to learn more. Their class schedule may not be super unique but it's great for beginners. And the drop-in ability to show up and make your own jewelry in the store with a little help from the employees is great. As a crafter though, and one fairly used to beading stores, the one thing I really like about Beadazzler is their bead selection. They've always got new stuff coming in, and I can always find something in the store I can't find at the other stores in the area.

Visited this store twice during a visit to Kansas City. Absolutley loved it! Very nice staff, and great selection of colors of Swarovski 4 mm bicones. Very neat and clean store. Not so much a fan of having to carry the jewelry board and the small clipboard though. I think the jewelry boards could be replaced with small totable baskets, which would hold more. I would definitely recommend this store and would definitely shop there again.

I went in for the first time last week and they had some really cool stuff. Some things seemed over priced, but they had a decent selection. There are a lot of stones and rustic items. The staff was friendly, but not pushy like some small shops are when you are the only one in there. Just a tip: there is a $10 minimum for credit card purchases.

I've gone to Beadazzler for a long time to get my beading supplies. Now that they have moved to the new location on 75th street, its easier than ever. Lots of easy access parking and still that same quality. The friendliness and helpfulness of the employees are great too.

Really nice place to find seasonal bead/charms that I can't find at other places. If they don't have it, they've offered to look for what you need. Helpful but not pushy. If you go here, make sure you pick up a clipboard &a container to hold all the beads you want & then write down the beads, how many of each & what the price is tagged at. There are so many around it's hard to remember what each bead price is. That way they can check you out quicker. Learned this on my first trip & it's been easier with follow up trips. Nice people that will answer any questions, offer help with creating your projects & offer classes to learn some new techniques. I like checking in every now & then, especially when I had specific type of projects to make. I will keep going back here. Prices are reasonable& better luck finding what you need that big stores like Hobby Lobby or Michaels.
