I contracted Wynbrick Mansion for my retirement party and it was the perfect venue. Sherri was very easy to work with and the food was delicious. There were 30 of us so the sun room made it intimate and cozy. We also had room to dance after dinner. Their sound system was so easy to use with my iPhone and playlist. I would definitely recommend Wynbrick mansion!

Tremendous owners and venue. They went above and beyond to make the rehearsal dinner very special. They let us come over early and make ice cream and even bought the ice cream bowls for us. Very attentive and accommodating.

My husband and I got married at the Wynbrick on May 31, 2014. This was the first wedding under the new ownership and we couldn't have been more pleased. Having initially contracted with the prior owners who then sold the business in January prior to our event, we were nervous having our contract change hands; however, after the first phone conversation with Amy, our fears were completely eliminated. Not only was she a pleasure to speak with, but her enthusiasm about The Wynbrick was unparalleled. She spoke about their plans and ideas. I was excited to be able to work with someone with so much energy about their future business. As we worked through the details during multiple emails, phone calls and meetings, we began to see the potential that The Wynbrick was going to offer us a wedding to never forget. We loved working with Amy, Jan and Christine and they never ran out of ideas to make the venue and the day even more memorable. In the short few months after they took ownership prior to our event in May, they remodeled almost the entire house - from repainting and reorganizing to re-configuring the kitchen. The renovations were fantastic and brought the already beautiful home to a very crisp, clean venue that showcased its historical charm. During an open house, the family shared many facts about the home, again proving their passion for their new business - not only investing the time to what they were going to turn the venue in to, but to also keep the historical integrity. Walking into our rehearsal the day before our wedding again proved how amazing these owners are. They were completely prepared for our arrival, made us feel welcome, offered assistance in any way they could and were sure to know every detail from our photographer, officiate, our family and most importantly my husband and me. Leaving that evening, knowing the next time I would walk in the house would be on my wedding day, I couldn't have been in a more comfortable place. I knew these ladies had everything under control and I wasn't at all nervous about any of the choices we had made for us and our approximately one hundred guests. No wedding day goes off without a hitch, but The Wynbrick staff had everything under control. It began raining during our photography session before the ceremony - Jan and Amy were waiting with umbrellas and towels making every effort possible to keep me and the wedding party dry. After that moment, there was nothing that could have possibly gone wrong. Everything they did that day, all day, was to ensure that our wedding day was perfect down to every last detail. There wasn't a single moment that I felt unsure about; if any questions came up, they were happily there to answer them. Multiple times our guests commented on the beauty of the venue and the remarkable and attentive staff. There is zero doubt in my mind that if my wedding, their very first wedding as new owners of The Wynbrick, could be so spectacular, that they would make any other wedding or event be equally as amazing. Thanks to The Wynbrick and its phenomenal owners and staff, the beauty of our wedding day will forever be remembered!

We started booking a birthday party, six months in advance, and after a great detail and a lot of work, the owner had moved everything around and wanted out of the deal two weeks before the birthday with over 70 people attending and left me hanging. I had to find another venue two weeks prior to this. this was a few years ago and they have threatened me multiple times every time I try to get the word out.

I am a family member that rented Wynbrick Mansion on Jun 29 for a baby shower. The inside is beautiful and the staff was very cordial and great to work with. THEY EVEN TOLD US MULTIPLE TIMES HOW NICE WE WERE TO WORK WITH. We also let them know how we appreciated their kindness. In reference to the reviews on various social media sites submitted by the owner, Sherri Stechmann on behalf of Wynbrick Mansion, the following review is related to our experience at Wynbrick Mansion, BASED ON FACT. It can also be backed up with the owner's video and our pictures and text messages which are included. (UPDATE: Yelp has removed her review however the information below still applies as she has placed slanderous statements on other social media sites)Facts below:Fact: Brianna Hernandez Marx did have a baby shower at Wynbrick Mansion on Saturday, Jun 29.Fact: The family arrived at the Wynbrick Mansion at 11:47, which is documented on timestamps and video of the owner.Fact: The outside of the facility was a complete mess, with yard waste all over the lot, a trailer of yard debris taking up parking spaces, a black type that guests had to step over, and a large pile of mulch outside the entrance.Fact: The family asked a male employee, at 11:50, to sweep the front entrance to look better for guest and ensure nothing was tracked in to the house.Fact: The male employee simply placed a broom on the front porch and inferred the customer should sweep.Fact: A family member did ask for the owners phone number and left a message for a return phone call. After that, he was busy helping us set up that he was unable to answer her phone call. Fact: At 12:00, when the family was allowed to enter, a male and female employee were standing inside the door. Upon entering, a family member stated to the male employee his disappointment with the condition of the outside of the facility and the fact he handed a broom to the customer to sweep. Note: The owner has continued to reference comments made to an "18 YO Latina women/employee" however she left a voicemail at 12:11 and text message at 12:30 stating her concern with someone asking the male (son) about the broom - not getting in anyone's personal space.Fact: The contracted family and many of the guests were hispanic. At no time, and all public posts and text messages will confirm, that no one stated the facility or owner was a racist. In fact, if you review all posts, you will see Sherri and the Wynbrick Mansion used the word first and all reference to "racist" actions.Fact: No adult, to include anyone associated with the contract and/or payment made comments about "suing" Sherri or the Wynbrick Mansion.Fact: At no time did the family ever ask for a discount.Fact: During the event, a guest did pass out due to the fact it was hot outside and inside the sunroom. Note: That as simply stated in a post from the mother-to-be in which Sherri immediately discounted the statement and stated it was fake.Fact: The family was aware that Sherri had a death in the family, prior to the second showing, and actually sent a faithful and sincere condolence to her though a text message.Fact: At no time, did Sherri or the Wynbrick Mansion offer an apology or any willingness to assist in resolving the concerns. For anyone reading the posts, you will see an extremely negative attack on the mom-to-be and the family who hosted the party. The owner has sent a text message to a family member stating she is telling new customers about all her slanderous statement. Unfortunately, the owner should've really watched her own video before she started her misrepresentation of the family - her customer. Please check the Photo section of the Wynbrick Mansion review for pictures to validate the facts above.

I must question the owner's integrity and if we would not have been discriminated against if our last name was not Hispanic. But since she "allowed us to have our event," I will continue with my review. First, when we met Sherri months prior to the event to see the space, she was extremely condescending, contradicting, and hardly accommodating to what I had envisioned for this special day. When my family first viewed the space there were white table clothes on each table. When we went back to view the space again, there were black table clothes on the tables. When I asked if we could have white table cloths for the baby shower, Sherri rudely stated that she only allows those for weddings and if we wanted white that would be our own responsibility. Altho not Also at our second showing to look at the event space, ideas that I suggested were met with condescending comments, remarks, and smirks from Sherri (we asked if we could have our buffet line set up in the dining room, and we were told absolutely not because someone could drop food, but people could eat in there; I also asked if I could open gifts in the "ballroom" so all my guests could be in one place, and I was told, "no, we can't be moving chairs through the dining room," but she offered to moved chairs from the ballroom and breakdown tables- in the middle of my event-to the sunroom--which seems a little contradicting). In all other pictures of the space, there is food throughout the house, so to limit us to such a confined space, were just shocked in her response. Needless to say, after all the snide remarks and comments, I left in tears and did not feel great about what should be a joyous event. Sherri then had the audacity to later text my mom that she got me on camera being rude. I was unaware that the cameras had sound, and was curious if should heard herself and how she was speaking to us in return. Now for the day of the event (which was on the books for months). When we arrived at approximately 11:47 am to be able to begin set up at 12:Noon, there was a pile of mulch in the already small parking lot, and a trailer full of yard debris (see pictures). There were tree particles that covered the entire front porch, and we were kind enough to clean this off, after there was a lack of care from staff. There were water bottles laying in the front and unplanted planters that were blocking the front door, which again, we wanted the place to look nice and avoid tripping over, so we moved ourselves. Upon arrival, my brother-in-law asked for Sherri's number as he was disappointed in the appearance of the front of the event space, and the staff was rude to my brother-in-law, a 20+ year plus military veteran. Sherri had been texting and calling my brother-in-law while we were setting up (in her video monitoring, she could clearly see we were busy, trying to frantically set up, while her staff was following us around, and recording us on their personal devices) and accusing him of "bullying" and being "aggressive" towards her adult staff/son. I'm an unsure why she felt it was appropriate to continue to harass, as she could clearly see in her videos we were busy. If you want to talk about threats towards anyone, she kept threatening my family with lawsuits...yes, during us setting up for the event. Sherri continued to text my MOTHER during the event, and threatened her with lawsuits and to cancel our event...again in the middle of our event, which once again, as she was watching us on video, she could clearly see was in progress. One of my guests passed out because it was very warm in the space. Which again, Sherri was able to see on video, but she was too concerned about threatening my family with false accusations and lawsuits to even ask how our guest was doing. She even threatened to sue us if we wrote one negative review. YIKES!!!!This lady clearly does not know how to run a business. And has found her close friends to write reviews to cover over the bad reviews since she has taken over the space a year ago. She uses her family as staff, which is great! But if she finds they are unable to handle small events such as a baby shower, then maybe she should find more appropriate staff. I will say, the staff did have a change of heart, as I assume they were making up for the insanity of Sherri. And were kind and apologized for the front of the property looking like a mess. Instead of being an adult and apologizing or asking if there is anything her staff could do to help make our day special, we are still being threatened with lawsuits. After all this emotional distress, I unfortunately can not recommend this place, and at "Wynbrick Mansion," the customer is never right.

The owner was a little difficult to deal with for our event. The website showed pics of other gatherings there & how their food was displayed in certain rooms. We thought we would be able to set up the same way, the owner shut down our ideas fast. Frustrating. Unfortunately we paid the fee & the invites were already sent. Other customers have had issues too. I will stop there, but considering our experience with this venue, I cannot recommend them. Please choose another place to have your event.

Wynbrick Mansion is a excellent venue! Not only is the facility itself absolutely beautiful, the new owners are efficient, personable and will do anything they can to help! We hosted a Bladder control seminar there and lunch was served. The meeting area was perfect - plenty of room, good lighting, electrical outlets for presentations and easy access to bathrooms etc. The lunch was outstanding and was prepared by the owner herself! We will definitely be back to this venue for our next seminar! Thank you Sherry and Wynbrick Mansion!Teresa Miller RNDr Chris Taylor - Harrison, AROveractive Bladder Control

I recently attended a home party function here. The party was setup in the sunroom and it was beautiful! Everyone was relaxed and more comfortable than in someones home. The setting is beautiful. I can imagine what it will look like when Spring and Summer blooms come through. The new owners were gracious, easy to work with, and knowledgeable. They have decorated the space beautifully. It would be the perfect venue for a wedding and/or a reception....So many options... Such elegance!
