The elderberry wine is wonderful, the experience at this winery not so good. We walked into an empty winery with kids toys scattered around the floor. A woman with her child came out but did not offer a tasting or any other help. She told her child to pick up the toys after I almost tripped on one, and the child ignored her. I finally asked if we could taste the semi-dry elderberry because we were not able to find it locally. She poured one sample. We had to share the sample. No other tastings were offered. We asked for a case of the wine which she brought out. We asked where they shipped the semi-dry wine in the KC area. She mentioned a few places where they shipped wine, but had no idea where they shipped semi-dry, and did not offer to find out and get back with us. When paying, the screen asked for a tip of over $20. For what? Needless to say, I skipped the tip screen. Five stars for the wine, zero stars for the winery.

Don't be surprised when you drive up it looks like a gas station. Lol I think this took me back the most. The real reason for my 3 star rating is that they have so many wines and meads but you can only taste 5. Granted it's 5 for free but I think they need a pay options too for everyone. Especially for those of us just passing through and don't live in the area. The hostess (person who poured) seemed like she did t want to be there and didn't tell me anything about the wines. Overall the wines I did taste were good o wish I could had tasted more.

Good quick stop for us. Friendly staff, and great product. The very kind young lady didn't know a lot about the product, but was a joy to interact with. A good variety also. A couple of grape varieties, but all North American grapes (muscadine, concord, etc.) and American fruits. The elderberries stand out for sure, as you should expect from the highway billboard. Try the meads! There's a good reason they're the top seller.

The staff was very nice and offered us samples before we purchased the wine. I've seen the Elderberry wine sign on the highway multiple times before and finally stopped. Got the Elderberry and Elderberry Blackberry wine after we sampled and liked both, they are more on the sweet side, which I prefer. Will stop by next time and try some others, the Strawberry Rhubarb sounded very interesting.

I stopped here en route from KC to Topeka. It was about 2pm on Sunday and the place was deserted. I sort of thought it was closed, but I went in and was greeted. I told the lady there I was there to sample some wines. She asked if I liked dry, sweet, or semi-sweet wine and I said semi- sweet. She directed me to a row of wine and said these are the semi-sweet ones. There must have been 8 or 9 semi sweet wines to choose from. If you include the dry and sweet they easily had 20+ wines. The great thing is that they allow you to taste 5 wines free of charge. I chose 5 semi sweet wines. The bummer was that the lady helping me didn't know anything about the wines. I asked about the grapes, the region, and all I got was an I don't know and I'm not sure. Most of the semi sweet wines were too sweet for me, which is really saying something because my friends tell me my wine is too sweet all the time. If these were the semi sweet, then how sweet were the sweet? Also, I was bummed that most of these were things like elderberry, blackberry, and cherry wine. I don't hate these things, but they sort of seem like fake wine to me. I ended up buying a bottle for my aunt that I thought she would like and I really felt like the woman working couldn't wait to get rid of me. I was bummed.

The wine is ok. I read from a previous post that the place was dead and they felt rushed. Well I felt the same. There was no one else there. We felt rushed and they didn't seem to want us there or knew much about the wine. It felt like novelty wine to me. Tasted good but not authentic. It used to be an old gas station turned winery. Just didn't feel right. Not terrible but not the true winery feel that you look for. Give it a try but don't expect much. I bought a bottle just to get one Nothing too crazy.

We stopped by here on a recent road trip. We did not care for the wines. They were mostly sweet and the dry wines had no body to them. The woman working there was very nice. We didn't buy anything, but gave her a tip for her time. They had a jalapeño wine that was good, but it was so spicy I wondered if I would actually use or drink it. But the tasting was FREE!

A very tasty stop to make. Do some wine & jam tasting, the wine is very good actually and you can find a variety of original tastes. We bought the bottle in the middle.

Nice big tasting room and they have a wine for every taste. There was nothing that rocked my socks off but it's worth the stop. They had the first elderberry wine I've actually enjoyed.

We are traveling through and wanted to pick up some wine. We got here at 9:40 knowing it opens at 10:00am. It's now 10:10 and no one is here. I called them. I left a message. Super disappointed. Sign in door says open at 10:00, website says they open at 10:00. This is the one in Paxico. Waste of time on our 8 1/2 hour drive to Colorado..
