Worlds of Fun is a nice park to go to! I took my first 2 visits in August of 2024 and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the park. Sure, it's no Six Flags Magic Mountain or Cedar Point, and it's my 2nd to least favorite Six Flags Park. But I still had a good time here! The coaster collection is overall very good. Mostly talking about Prowler and Mamba. These are two excellent roller coasters. Prowler being a crazy out-of-control out-and-back terrain GCI. Currently sits as my 2nd favorite GCI (only behind Thunderhead) and has me REALLY excited for Mystic Timbers this summer! Now THAT's gonna be a good GCI! Then there's Mamba which is an incredible Hypercoaster with a phenomenal finale. Seriously, Mamba's 7 airtime finale rivals Steel Vengeance Lightning Rod and Magnum Xl 200 for having some of the best finales to any coaster ever. There's also Zambezi Zinger which, while a great family wooden coaster, has some of the WORST trains on any coaster (Seriously GCI, stick to the Millennium Fliers. Those Infinity Fliers suck). Spinning Dragons is a fun spinning coaster. But the rest of the coasters there are pretty underwhelming. Patriot isn't a very good B&M due to its lack of forces and mediocre inversions, it's not terrible, but you'd expect more from a B&M invert. While Timber Wolf looks good, and I'm grateful it didnt beat the crap out of me, it was incredibly stupid as it had 0 airtime or laterals. Just a really boring ride, wouldn't care at all if they RMCd it. And then there's a boomerang, need I say more.In terms of flat rides, this park has an AMAZING lineup. Their star flat ride being Cyclone Sams. At first glance, you may think, "oh, it's a chance wipeout, that's nothing special." WRONG, WRONG WONG WRONG! THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BATSH*T INSANE RIDES EVER. I'm not joking, This thing is placed inside of a building with tons of special effects and drawings on the walls which give you the illusion that you're in an actual tornado. And you spin so freaking fast that you actually get dizzy. It might just be my favorite ride in the park. DO NOT SKIP IT, IT'S SO FREAKING GOOD. Aside from that, there's Zulu, which is a HUSS enterprise which, HOLY SH*T, THESE THINGS ARE AMAZING. There's also Steel Hawk, which I'm a huge fan because of its setting and view. You do indeed seek the wind. And funny enough, this was my 2nd time riding it. I got to ride it in its original location as WindSeeker at Knott's Berry Farm back in 2011. Awesome ride. There's also Detonator which is an S&S Space Shot. I'm not a huge fan of the turbo drop model, but the space shot model is a ton of fun. And this one's taller than the other ones, which makes it better! The park also has two water rides with Lost River of the Nile which is a LONG Rapids ride that gets you VERY wet, and a Log Flume (didn't ride it, but it looked fun). All in all, Worlds of Fun is a very fun park. They have some great rollercoasters such as Mamba and Prowler, the flat ride collection is exceptional, and by Six Flags standards, there's some great theming here! So if you're touring Missouri and you're in the area, spend some time here. You'll have a good time!

I am updating my review as I experience Halloween part on Saturday and then closing day which is on a Sunday.I ended up going to the park on Saturday at around 4:30pm as the drive from Oklahoma is around 7 and a half hours and then I have to time it correctly as I needed to check in the hotel and then go to Ameristar to use my free play. Getting into the park and to find parking was about an hour. Some of the parking lots can be blocked by cones even though you can find some empty spots. There are some other lots, but some of the spots can be tight to fit in as some cars do take up 2 spots and unfortunately block one of the paths to get out. After you find parking, there is a line to get into the park for security as I believe the park has a capacity requirement. After all that hassle, the park is really crowded like I have never seen before. If you buy fastlane, be prepared to wait an hour and without 2 hours per the popular ride. There is not a ride you can ride where the line is short, so I decided to wait in line and then walk the park. They have Halloween attractions and waited an hour for one of them and that was before opening. But lines for those can be ridiculous. The park does close at midnight and crowds ended up dying around 11pm and getting onto Mamba took me 30 minutes and then I rode Prowler 3 times on the last 30 minutes which was fun. I definitely do the experience again even though it was hectic.Food lines were long as well, but I ended up going to the Safari café which only took me 20 minutes to order and get the food which was not too bad. I ended up going their twice as the other food lines were crazy.I went to the park the next day with only a couple hours of sleep and was opened from 11am to 7pm. The following day was a lot less busy and I got in on a lot of rides in 1 hour vs 7 hours I was at the park from last night. I ended up walking around the park quite a bit and seeing if I can bump into the peanuts character. I ended up seeing Snoopy which was nice. They wanted to get rid of the candy so I ended up buying 7 bags per 1 dollar each. The following day was actually nice and relaxing and glad I planned for 3 days at Kansas City. The only ride I did not get to do was the car ride which we can do for next year.Definitely would come back here again for the Halloween event even though it was hectic.

I quite love this place for the rides and family time and occasionally a hokey show or two. It's an amusement park, and the current iteration of WoF is just great for rides, when it's not overcrowded. When it is overcrowded, our family likes to head over to Oceans of fun to hang out in the wave pool and lazy river. You can kinda plan and make this place work for you, especially if you get a season pass (well worth it). You DO NOT come here for food of shopping or even boardwalk games. The nostalgia and memories of what WoF was like as a kid in the 70s and 80s are deep for me, and there is a current display of the history from that time that is a wonderful walk in the past.

During our visit, there were protesters outside who were discussing unfair wages for mechanics and ride operators. I would say this was reflected in the fact that during the 5 hours we visited, every major ride was closed down for at least a few hour period of time, if not for the whole day. I would never come here without a fast pass unless you want to wait in each line for 1+ hour. It was very quick with the fast pass.I wish WOF was more thoughtful with providing shade while waiting in line. This could easily be done and would provide some relief from the brutal heat and sun.

Yesterday was my first visit to Worlds Of Fun since 1991. I went the inaugural season of 1973 as a 10 year old, had a season pass from 74 - 78, worked there in 79 & 80 and then worked for a vendor that caused me to be in the park almost every day from 1981 to 1991. I have literally been to WOF well over a thousand times. This caused severe burn out and I swore I'd never return after I left that job in 1991. Well, it took 33 years to finally get me to relent after my wife begged to go. And you know what? I loved it! A lot has changed, it's grown larger with more rides and land development, yet it's still the same basic five themed areas that are easily navigated. I was most impressed with how clean the park is and the amazing job of landscaping with plants and flowers. Kudos to the grounds and landscaping teams! We went on a Monday which was the last weekday of the year that they were open and the lines were relatively small and the weather was perfect. We bought our tickets online in advance with a food pass. For $49 each, we had an entree and side every 90 minutes if we chose to. No complaints for the price, which was much better than buying at the gate. I was shocked to find that parking was $30 and you have to walk to the entrance - no more tram shuttle; and even more shocked to see food prices, which made me very pleased that I bought the food pass... that is until I started eating. Two of the three offerings that my wife and I shared were so bad that we threw away most of it. Eat before and after your visit. My stand-out rides were The Timberwolf, The Prowler and Fury of the Nile. They also had a WOF History exhibit on display inside the Tivoli that was a trip back in time and allowed me to give a visual to my wife on all the memories that i was telling her about all day. Even though it is no longer owned by the Hunt Family; WOF is a 50+ year institution in this town and has done well at keeping the original concept alive and thriving. So just remember to have someone drop you off, buy tix in advance, go on a weekday with nice weather, don't eat the expensive crappy food and you should have a fun and pleasant day!

We had a good time. We took our nephew from Hungary. My wife had never been to Worlds of Fun, and my brother and I hadn't been there in a couple of decades. A few of the rides were closed, which was sad. We enjoyed the Patriot the most. The Mamba was great, but it was pretty intense. The wooden roller coasters were really rough riding. Not enjoyable. The food was okay, but not great. Servings were small and the River Grill had a ton of corn dogs and no mustard. Insane. There were other restaurants in the park with mustard. Someone should have walked their ass over and replenished the mustard. Lazy and disconnected from good customer service. Very sad. The drink package was a great deal and valuable. We have gold passes now, so we'll be back, when it cools off a little bit.

First timer to Worlds of Fun!!! It was an unforgettable experience. I loved riding the train, patriot, mamba, etc... The only reason I can't give it a 5, is that I wish that the food would be paired better depending on the "part of the world" you are on. Example: Asia - should offer some sort of Asian fusion food

This was the first time I went to Worlds of Fun without kids. I had a blast. This year is the 50th anniversary! The park closed with a wonderful fireworks and drone show. Grand carnivale is also happening. Which is a great time to go and sample cuisines from several countries. And it's tasty!Tip: purchase a combo ticket that includes 3 tastings, parking and admission to the park after 4. The portions for the tastings are enough for 2 people. They also have 6 and 10 tasting options. Vegetarian and gluten free options. We went in a Saturday and the weather was hot but not miserable. The lines were long. In 4 hours we only rode 4 rides. Yep. 1 per hour. Note: You can purchase a fast pass for $85. Riding the Zambezi zinger, took me back to my youth. It's better than I remember. If you like roller coasters, this is a must ride. Worlds of fun, really is a world of fun for all ages. The park is ADA accessible.

I was a guest at both Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun this past weekend. I grew up going to WOF and OOF every year (I am 28 now). My family travels 4 1/2 hours away and in the past, the drive was well worth it. That cannot be said for this past weekend. My time at WOF and OOF this weekend was such a disappointment. The staff was rude everywhere we went. Both parks seemed VERY understaffed. In the past I usually had a 10-30 min wait for rides.. this weekend we had 45-160 min wait for rides. None of the staff had the urgency to work quickly and it was clearly understaffed. Many posts where a staff member should be standing to direct fast pass patrons were absent. I went on many rides as a fast pass patron where I could've easily ran up the pass side and got on the ride with no trouble even if I didn't have the fast pass. Food was EXTREMELY overpriced.. the quality and amount did not equate to what we received. $30 to just park inside the park?!? That's insane. Earlier last week we went to Silver Dollar City and that parking was FREE!!! Speaking of Silver Dollar City.. that park was well worth my money compared to yours. There's honestly no comparison. Serveral of your rides weren't even open or were only opened for a short period of time. When a small storm cloud was near by many/most rides shut down for safety (I understand to an extent). We had waited over an HOUR to get on the taxi ride.. and then when we were about to board a car, the workers got a phone call.. both workers sprinted to the phone laughing and were very happy... (probably age 16). They received word that the ride would have to close for some time. They told us all that information with excitement and had no care that people spend lots of money to come to the park and waste lots of time in line for rides. They had no sympathy. It was offensive how they approached that situation. It happened again many times on many rides throughout the day.I love that you are including people with disabilities but I think there are better placement opportunities for these people. Several of these people were incapable of performing basic duties.. working a cash register, etc.Honestly after this weekend, my family will never return to Worlds of Fun or Oceans of Fun again. We are disappointed that our favorite parks are in such poor management.
