Absolutely love this church! The power of the Holy Spirit is so present in this place. The amazing pastors there care so much. We've been going to this church for 4+ years and continue to grow in our relationships with God, our finances, our marriage, every area, on such a deep, marvelous level!

It makes me sad that any Christian would use the internet to harm another church, especially the enemies favorite platform; Yelp.WRC is not a perfect church, but if you find one please let me know. The bible says you can always tell a good church by the fruit. They are changing lives and they have fruit. I don't attend because I live in Washington State but my family and I make a trip out there several times a year to sit in the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit and it is thick as a cloud at WRC, but you have to want it, and you have to not have a critical spirit. Its easy to find something wrong with any leader. I encourage anyone in KC or visiting that wants to feed and get filled up to spend the day at International house of prayer, and then spend Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night and or Sunday at WRC. You will come home filled. If you come have a good attitude and be a giver and God will bless you.

A friend and I visited this church on a recommendation, and pretty early on, we both independently felt a check in our spirits that something was not right. Many of the things the pastor said, like "You can be the way, the truth, and the life!", "The most desperate person in this room is the one that is going to be filled, but I don't see anyone who is desperate!", and "In order to be used by God, you have to care more than anyone else in this room!" were not biblical and very much promoted comparison and competition. Probably what topped it was his repeating that the reason Jesus saved the world wasn't because He was God, but instead because He was a zealous man and if we are zealous enough and care more than anyone else, we can change the world like Jesus.Needless to say, we couldn't get out of there fast enough.

It's unfortunate that people have so many opinions when it comes to church. I used to. I grew up in the Nazarene church and my father has been a pastor since before I was born. Growing up a Pastor's Kid you get to see the good, the bad, and the ugly of a church. Since then I've come to the conclusion that three things really matter when looking at a church: First, and foremost, is this a group of people in pursuit of God and who He says He is instead of what is convenient for their own world view, etc.?Second, is this is a church that wants to create a house of worship (music, tithe, the Word, etc.) that God would actually come and attend?Third, is this a church that strives to do this as a community rather than individuals? If all three are met then everything else like missions work, community service, etc. will be met as an overflow and outpouring of what God is doing in the people of that congregation. This is that kind of church! Not a place full of perfect human beings who don't make mistakes but of people willing to give up truly everything to make God king in every part of their lives. Come give it at least 3-4 services before you make up your mind. It's something powerfully different and therefore needs some time to take it all in.I'm glad my family came and I hope you'll join us too!

I honestly can't say enough good about this place, the people and the pastors. I no longer live in Kansas City, but if I did this would've remained my church home forever! I first started going to World Revival when I attended their school of ministry years ago and then decided to stay after I graduated. After over 15 years of membership I can say this: if you are in trouble and you know in your heart that the root is your relationship with God, you can get real help here. If you want more of God in your life and want to connect with other likeminded people you will absolutely find it. If you're looking for real spiritual "meat" you will get it. I am thankful for every service I got to attend - God did so many amazing things in my life and I am still seeing the fruit today!

This church has helped to save my life! My marriage has been saved, my children are better behaved, my finances are getting better, my attitude has changed, etc. I am a new person. I've been in church my whole life and never experienced the presence of God like I have at this place. The pastors and congragation are redefining what church is.They are not only preaching the real word of God in context from the Bible, but they are putting it in to action. You have to go check this out. They have services Thur, Fri, and Sat at 7:00 and Sunday at 10.Not to mention they are seen all around the world on Daystar TV every Friday night.WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

This church has and had potential. It's full of MLM/ AmWAY people who wait a few weeks, act like your friend and then try to recruit you. If you don't join AmWAY you get bumped for any sort of leadership or volunteer roles outside of parking guard. Seriously. If you don't want to be part of a pyramid scheme, there's a lot of really good churches in KC. It's full of them. :)

I watched this church on Daystar and thought it was a one-of-a-kind community of believers. Once i moved to Kansas City and joined the church, the truth came out. I wanted to serve in a volunteer position, but was told that the senior pastor had to approve all volunteers. That was ok. Several years later I was suddenly pulled from my volunteer position and put into another department I had no passion for. I was told the senior pastor decides who serves where, creates the volunteer schedules, and you have no say in it. I tried to make the best of it, but the new position took a physical toll on me because it kept me walking around all night. I appealed to leadership to put me elsewhere but i was told that the problems were MY fault for not being dedicated enough to the 'cause'' and to the pastor. Is christianity supposed to be about pastors wielding absolute control over peoples lives? Stay away from WRC, there are plenty of other good churches out there! Also, this is the second time I've posted my truthful review on this church but they deleted it. They seem to love repressing free expression

I went there for a little over a year towards the end of my senior year in college. I had a friend group from outside of the church that I attended there with. I enjoyed it at first, the intentionality of the people, their way of getting "into" my life, but things shifted both in me and the people around me when I wasn't "selling out", moving to live with other members, and attending the school of ministry. I was told by a Care Pastor that I should leave my roommates and it was taught that leaving your family and friends is a sacrifice that should be made to pursue God. Yikes! When I did leave (which took months of mental prep and planning) a close friend at the church stole me in the middle of a meal and isolated me in a car to talk about me leaving. It felt threatening and inappropriate. It confused me that someone close wouldn't support something that was not good for me or empathize in some way. I am still decompressing the mental and spiritual anguish the World Revival Church created for me 8 years later. I hope you don't step foot into their doors. 8 years is too long for anyone to work through the trauma that WRC can create.

Love God. Love people. This is a place that not only doesn't hinder that command but promote it. What an amazing experience to look around you and see people that love God worshipping WITH you. All walks of life, all different callings TOGETHER as the body functioning as one. People that aren't perfect but are absolutely in love with the Savior and are willing to live out sacrifice as true and proper worship. What a treasure.
