Don't be fooled by the chicken out front, 'cuz Wing Stand by Jefferson's is slinging more than just the bird!Downtown Mission has seen so many changes in the past decade and Wing Stand is another great addition. Ordering is quick & easy, whether you are staying in the small dining area or getting your order to go. Your choice is handmade to order, dipped or breaded, and prepared pretty much right in front of you. I'd suggest the Double Dipped, fried twice and drizzled with their housemade ranch and pair that with a side. The fried pickles are also worth a look, hand-breaded chips fried up right and served with a sauce choice.Parking ain't bad, but downtown Mission can get some traffic with the options coming in. Wing Stand is one of those options and darn well worth your time and visit.

Having grown up on the east coast, I've been eating buffalo style wings since the early 70s. What I had here were some of the best I've ever had. The wings themselves had a crispy texture with little or no breading on them. When ordering, I said I wanted a medium hot and sweet sauce and the sweet garlic sauce the cashier suggested was spot on. I'll definitely be coming back. My only suggestion is..... less sauce! The wings I had were absolutely swimming in sauce rather than tossed in a bowl to coat them evenly. This was especially troublesome since they provide no wet naps either on the tray or at the table. Don't let this deter you, the wings are totally worth the trip.

This place seems hit or miss. We ordered takeout on a Sunday night. Despite showing up 5-10 minutes after the time the order was supposed to be ready it wasn't. Eventually we were given an order that we realized wasn't ours as we were walking out. We took it back it in and were told our order would have to be remade. They did give us a $10 gift card for the inconvenience which was a nice touch. About 20 minutes later we got our meal. The chicken tenders meal was a little disappointing. Not as much breading and crunch as you'd expect. The pickle chips were on the soggier side. The boneless wings were pretty delicious and the sauces were excellent. The fries had a nice crunch and were well seasoned. We will probably give it another try now that we have a gift card and hope for something a little better!

We ordered food here while we were at Sully's watching the Chiefs game. This place is close to where I work, and I have coworkers that come often to get lunch. They always rave about it. The ordering system between WingStand and Sully's I think is confusing. They delivered our food to Sully's which was nice, but they didn't give us utensils or napkins or the drinks we ordered. The guy who dropped off our food was annoyed when we started asking him questions. He told us that for drinks you have to go over there to get them. They also forgot some of our food. The delivering was nice and convenient but quickly became a pain because we had to go in anyway to get everything we were missing. The food was fine. It was solid for watching a game. I am not dying to come back but I think we would have had a better experience if we had just gone in person to order everything because it turned into a weird mess at Sully's.

I've tried for two weeks to get a hold of management in regards to my order that was messed up and promised a gift card since I didn't want store credit! Every bad customer experience and still haven't received my gift card. At this point I'll take it as a lose and never return!

I ordered delivery so I cannot speak to the service or atmosphere. I ordered bone-in, boneless and fried pickles. Fried pickles soggy probably due to delivery. Wings were average reminds me of BWW. Nothing special in my opinion. I won't order again.

It is a cool interior, I like what they did to the place. That being said it took too long to get our food, and the wings and fries were too expensive for me to ever order those again. Also in my opinion, if you are a wings place you should sell beer to go with them. If Chipotle can sell beer, so should WingStand.

First visit there, saw an ad on FB advertising a $5.99 Customer Appreciation special so I plugged the address into my gps and off I went. What a nice, cool, clean place. Simple parking spaces out front gave me easy access. Staff was nice and friendly. I ordered the offer which was six wings with the Jamaica jerk slice rub and a drink and a side. I got the side fries. I also ordered a single cheeseburger. The wings were excellent as were the fries. Not greasy at all. I could have used some more jerk on the wings but they still were very tasty. I will definitely make it a regular stop when I am in Kansas City.

The tenders were chewy and stringy (tasted like run of the mill Cisco frozen tenders, and one of the lower tiers of them). The fries were mediocre. For $14 at this spot, (4 tenders, fries and a drink) I can find much better food elsewhere.
