Looks absolutely horrible on the outside I am really bad***** read how many reviews a person has*********btw this is not a 5 star place you need to go eating out more to the entire kc metro area including kansas and hit hundreds of places before calling this a 5 star.the person below has 5 reviews total!!!food was better than some we have had in the areanot a goto place but stopped in carry outthey have an all day buffet we had been to precovidwe wont be doing buffet again for a very long timeordered carry outmushu chicken goodcashew chicken good

Terrible dinner. From the hot and sour soup, which came out of the all-day buffet buckets to the re-deep fried spare ribs (super dry) to the tasteless chicken with cashews and topping it off with stale fortune cookies! Nothing - absolutely nothing - positive to say about this place.

We stopped in on a whim. The place isn't much to look at but damn rhe food was amazing. Lo main, crab Rangoon, braised beef, pot stickers! Amazing, we will be back and we highly recommend it.

This is a small family owned place that is dated inside and out. First impression might cause you to think it's a little sketchy. I have been multiple times, and every time the food on the buffet is really fresh and hot. The quality is surprisingly good.It does seem to have less flavoring and spice than some other Chinese places, but if you like less spice this may be your perfect spotThere are not a lot of options on the buffet, but when the food is prepared continually in small portions so it stays fresh it didn't bother me not having more choices.Since it's close and convenient I will continue to go. If I was not close, I probably would never go out of my way to eat here.

Just no. I can't believe I fell for these reviews. This place is not good and the guy who said it was the best in the KC Metro needs to get out more. I can see the price attraction and the service was nice, but the food is way below par. Not gross or dirty or disgusting, just not good.

I ordered the egg drop soup and the pu pu tray and let me tell you this is quite literally THE worst Chinese place I have EVER been to the soup was absolutely horrendous. Giant chunks of egg and the consistency was very thick and unpleasant. To top it off the chip topping that was given with the soup was STALE. Like a week old stale it was disgusting. The tray wasn't any better the egg rolls were soggy, the meat tasted terrible. And the service was terrible as well I told the lady at the front counter to have a good day and she gave me a dirty look. Seriously guys it's not hard to be respectful to customers. Overall if I could I would rate this place 0/5!!!!! Don't waste your money or time here!

I love this restaurant. I readily admit I am picky about Chinese food, so Wing Lee was a very welcome surprise. I love spicy food and Wing Lee's Kung Pao Chicken and Chicken With Garlic Sauce are the perfect options for lunch or dinner. I usually get carry-out, but I have had a chance to look at the buffet and it is packed with delicious options. The crab rangoon is also excellent, and the egg rolls are flavorful and filling. If you are looking for an affordable and delicious option for Chinese in Independence, Wing Lee is absolutely the best. I have tried other local restaurants and none of them come close in terms of freshness, flavor and friendliness of the staff. One warning: Wing Lee is closed on Tuesday, so plan around this minor inconvenience :)

We have ordered here in the past and it has always been great. Tonight we ordered again and it was terrible. We spent $84 and got portions that were less than half of what we're used to. I asked for green peppers and onions to be added to my sweet and sour chicken, but they weren't. My wife's shrimp dish was missing rice, I guess they forgot to include it? 2 years ago I would highly recommend this place, but now, I give it a 0/10. $85 later and my family is not satisfied.

This is hands down the best Chinese spot in the KC metro area period. This is a hidden gem in east independence, staff very friendly atmosphere is good seating is limited. The food here is very consistent as well as the service. You will not find better Chinese food in the metro area, selection on buffet isn't the biggest but what food they do have it's the best around. Prices are very competitive and it's really worth the money you will spend. The general Taos chicken the beef and broccoli the Teriyaki chicken the Crab Rangoon's there fried rice the lo mien noodles all taste amazing. If your looking for great Chinese food this is the place, don't waste your time or money at the other Chinese's spots in the KC metro area. I wish you good treats and happy eats..! Take care
