Wine Down 109

After a mediocre dining experience in Independence area, we got on yelp to find a cocktail bar to kill the rest of our night. We found wine down 109, and it had a pretty good rating so we thought we would give it a try. It was a super friendly place and the owner/bartender was very pleasant, and visited with us for quite a while. I tried some of their specialty drinks. Each were very good and unique. If you're looking for a good hometown, feel in a bar, this is the place. The prices are very reasonable as well.

Excellent bar in an great art area in Independence. While this bar is always a fun visit, during warmer weather it is great to sit out front, enjoying a beverage and watching the world go by. Friendly service and enjoyable crowd. If you find yourself in the Englewood area, I recommend stopping in for a drink.

When you walk into the Wine Down you immediately feel at home. This place exudes warmth and a deep community vibe. Their extensive martini menu will amaze you - don't miss out on the chocolate one! They also have other terrific mixed drinks and wine varieties at reasonable prices. Once you grab a delicious drink take time to check out the eclectic artwork (even on the ceiling!) and cozy back room. You will undoubtedly make a new friend (or two) before leaving this lovely place.

Hands down the best Key Lime martini!! My mom had the Pumpkin Spice martini and she LOVED it! Great decor in this cozy bar. The walls and ceilings adorned with framed art of all kinds and a gas fireplace situated at one end of the room. The bathrooms were spotless too. My mom and i really enjoyed ourselves. Such a relaxing and fun place for a drinks.

This cozy neighborhood location is fantastic. The owners Nancy and Mary Ellen are full of hospitality and made us feel very welcome. Please support your local business by trying out this fun place. It's a great historic area and a fun place to stroll the neighborhood and window shop as well.

This is a great place for a drink or to celebrate a special event. Highly recommend. Great service, prices and venue!
