I have been living in this complex for a few months now. I have never seen an apartment complex be run so poorly, and I am from MANHATTAN NEW YORK. The employees do not care about their renters AT ALL. They never help with any issues we have. I will be moving out as soon as possible. DO NOT LIVE HERE. Emphasis on the do not live here.

Don't let the 2 star rating fool you. I would NEVER return to living at this complex, even if someone ELSE paid the rent! My husband and I have lived at this apartment community for 2 years, and our lease expires the end of December. We can't wait to leave and move into our new apartment. It almost seems like we're about to get out of jail!We have had so many issues, with staff, bugs, poorly maintained buildings, cruddy appliances that fall apart, poorly functioning (and often breaking down completely) heat & A/C units, not to mention ongoing "nasty-grams" from the office either put on everyone's door or included in the monthly "newsletter" - AKA: Firewood starter for camping. In an effort to keep this review semi-short (if that's even possible), a few examples of problems we have encountered:* Bugs, bugs, bugs. We spray twice a month with our own Ortho Home Defense spray, because we have little children, and there is always a season for one bug or another. It starts with spiders, then it's beetles, then ladybugs, and onto crickets, june bugs, and lovely termites swarming from the hot water heater closet! * Where's the heat? How about the Air Conditioning? In two years, we have had our a/c replaced twice and repaired (freon added and a major fix) two other times. We have had the heating system repaired 5 times. All of which required the system to be shut off. Once we had a flood in my children's room from the a/c upstairs breaking down and leaking water down into our unit directly below it. Maintenance took 4 days to figure out it was the upstairs apt and another 2 days to repair it. During that time, the carpet in that room was drenched, and mold became a problem. YET, the office refused to do anything because they said the maintenance man looked and said there was no mold. (I am allergic to mold, and I was sick the whole time, so he was full of you-know-what.) They finally replaced the pad and carpet after I called and griped out the office, sent an email to the complex owner, and threatened to move and file a complaint, which brought the manager over to look at it. She blamed it on poor maintenance, apologized profusely, but was clearly only covering her butt.We had a folding lawn chair on our patio, and a small stainless steel trash can with a step-on-lid-to-open feature, which we used as a diaper receptacle. (We HAD it in the apartment, but any parent knows, it doesn't matter what diaper pail you buy or what you spray, sprinkle, or seal to try to keep the smell under control, it's a useless effort after a short time.) The trash can was in the corner of the patio, and not out in full view, as the lawn chair was in front of it. We were given a letter from the office stating no resident is allowed to put ANYTHING (yes, anything) on their patio. "As a privelage residents are permitted to put outdoor furniture" but even that must be of acceptable condtion and quality to be acceptable. Are they kidding? We were given 2 days to remove the trash can or eviction procedures would be started. We removed the trash can (threw it away) and after 2 weeks, bought another trash can, smaller in size. We figured if they want to make a stink about it again, let them evict us. We're out of here the end of December anyway. We haven't heard a word about the new "diaper pail", so evidently the Patio Police haven't been around to our building lately. All in all, this place totally stinks. Yes, it's cheap. But you get what you pay for, and even that isn't very secure or reassuring. And don't believe the condition based on the apartment they show you. It's all fixed up as a showplace, but the real deal is nearly a dump compared to the model. If for some reason, you are a glutton for punishment and are considering this place, visit apartmentratings.com and do a bit of reading. You may just decide to look elsewhere.

I've lived here for about 4 months and have been nothing but pleased. All of my maintenance requests are taken care of promptly. It's quiet, cozy and comforting and have never felt more at home. Sure it's not as fancy as the others around but, they are very affordable for the area and staff has been wonderful. I moved from one of those fancy, expensive apartments and wasn't too thrilled about moving in the first place, but Wind River has exceeded my expectations and I love my current apartment more than my last one. 10/10 would recommend this complex.

Despite the many cons that I'm about to list, the apartment staff are friendly, dumpsters are close by, there are decent car ports, there is a nice park across the street for walking, it's a cozy apartment, maintenance is decent, and rent is an affordable price. However, I've tolerated a lot from the apartment with no complaints. Im so excited to be moving mainly due to Poor plumbing, poor AC units, and poorly installed windows. Other minor cons are no storage or closet space and avoiding potholes.

My son lived there for 2 years and had an exceptional experience. Loved the apartment and when he had maintenance issues, they responded same day. He recommended it to friends and they moved in as well. If he hadn't had to relocate, he would still be there. Wind River was an excellent value! He shopped around, too.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! Adding to the one review below (all of which I agree with) this complex is a nightmare. Price Brothers and WRL Management insist that we had pet damages to our apartment when we moved out and we NEVER had a pet while living there! An animal never set foot in our apartment the entire time we lived there. They want us to pay $300 for flea damage and pet urine stains (not to mention they kept our whole security deposit) - but we never had a pet. How can they charge for animal damages and not listen to their residents if they say they didn't have a pet?! We have had our neighbors call Price Brothers vouching for us and telling them we didn't have a pet, we have 2 written statements from our neighbors saying we didn't have a pet, and they will not call us back to resolve this. (Friends of our who lived there are having these same issues with the complex!) Now 2 years later, they send us to a debt collector for the money. It is so ridiculous. And FLEA damage?! I don't even want to know how that got there! The bugs are awful, it is crawling with critters! Several times my fan in the bathroom ceiling started pouring water like it was raining inside and they knocked a ton of huge holes in the ceiling and just spackled over them! People at the pool sit around and yell and curse, so don't try to bring children there! I would've rated this place a 0 if that was an option... I guess it can have the one star for having a good location.

Wind River Lodge was pleasant to work with until there was a problem. We signed our lease and then we're given the keys to the apartment. Upon arrival we discovered the 65 year old furnace was leaking and had been leaking for a long time based on the large amounts of mold in the closet within the bedroom it was located in. The furnace was also leaking underneath the carpet. We alerted maintenance that day and was never contacted back so we kept calling. Maintenance finally went to check on it and had no idea what we were talking about. We said it needs to be taken care of otherwise we will be terminating our lease (which thankfully there was no charge to do so). The manager went and looked at it and we were called back immediately and said we are free to terminate our lease. They never did anything about the mold. We were then told we would receive our refund check within 30 days. 40 days came around and still no check. We began to call regularly asking about our check and was told "we are waiting on the water company" , "we are waiting on corporate" ,etc. 60 days came around and still no check. At this point they had violated our contract so I called corporate directly and they had our check on their desk the next day after hearing my message that we were aware they had violated contract.(See pictures for what the maintenance guy "didn't know what we were talking about".)

There are a lot of negative reviews but it's important to note, I believe it was under different management at the time.Although no apartment complex is perfect, I never experienced any bugs or critters in my home after almost 2 years. They also regularly spray for bugs, they may have not previously done so but it works. I think I saw a singular spider in my apartment within my time there. The apartments are in a really good location and are affordable, despite the area being not so affordable. I just moved out but not because of any problems. Management is also really good, responsive and in my experience, really helpful and kind.

I have been holding off to write this review until I left but I would rather write it now. I have never lived at a place where the Manager of the residence was so unwilling to work with residents regarding unexpected life circumstances. I recently had to undergo testing because I am sick. I unexpectedly needed two MRI's and 6 x-rays due to neurological symptoms I have been developing. I called to ask if I could have a one day extension after the grace period because I was waiting on my direct deposit which comes in that midnight. I was told no and I would have to pay the $35. I have never lived in a residence where the manager was so uncompassionate. Other MAJOR issue is BUGS, BUGS, BUGS. I pay monthly for pest control and am only provided inconsistent spraying of my apartment. I am literally sleeping with the rollie pollies and spiders. YUK! The winter is VERY cold due to poorly insulated windows and uneven door frames. The walls are paper thin and the freeway noise is ridiculous and continuous. So be sure to ask if you still choose to move in-to live on the OTHER side of the complex. Good luck to future renters.

You can definitely find better apartments for the same price. I moved in last September and I am I so excited to be MOVING OUT. The Good~The location is very nice. You are across the street from a park, Aldi and Sprouts are nearby and the apartments are located right next to the highway. There is an elementary school less than 1/2 a mile away~Maintenance responds rather quickly~It is a pretty safe areaThe BadEverything in these apartments are cheap. The kitchen cabinets break apart, the blinds break when simply pulling on the string, the closet doors are always off track, etc. And if you have a "renovated " kitchen you can't use the counter tops because they are coated with some cheap acrylic and any use of it will peel it away. The windows need to be resealed -- during winter you will feel cold air coming and if you live in the back by the highway you will hear every single car passing by. The tennis courts and the "make-shift" basketball court all need work. The lay out of the apartment is weird. The rooms are not as big as you may think looking at the layout.Maintenance is quick to respond to request -- but all they do is "bandage" the situation. For example this past summer I called them 8 -10 times about my AC not working. The AC would run but it would not cool down the apartment (which left me with a Electric bill of $181 for the month of July and $160 for the month of August -- My usual bill is about $75). Instead of calling in an expert to take a look at it -- a maintenance worker would come and "fix" it...yet the AC still would not work. We called repeatedly because the AC wasn't working.Privacy was an issue for me because they were in my apartment quite often without my consent -- and it was always for something trivial. Or even better, for example, they would notify me on Sunday night that they were coming in early Monday morning. They also never notified tenants when they would do repairs, you would just hear construction outside your apartment and realize they were re-doing something out there. Or you would go to the laundry facility and realize none of the machines were working Parking is pretty bad, and by pretty bad I mean horrible. There is rarely in space to park -- so unfortunately many tenants will park on the street. Making an already narrow street, even smaller. The UglyThe Office staff is quite rude. Prior to signing my lease they were okay, and I don't know what happen afterwards but they are not the nicest. Whenever I call I just request to speak to the supervisor/property manager. You can definitely find nicer apartments in the same price range that offers a lot more than these apt complexes do. I would not recommend these apartments (or any Price Brothers property actually)
