Wallace State Park

Love this campground!There are electric and non-electric sites. The grounds are very nice and very well maintained! The bathroom is spotless with hot showers that have decent pressure.The camp hosts are very nice too. There's just nothing but good things to say about it.We would definitely come back here.

WOW ~ What a hidden gem this park is! We were at the Love's Travel Stop contemplating spending $42.50 for the night. Did some checking in the area and found Wallace State Park. Decided to try it and are SO GLAD we did! It was only an over night stop, but we made notes to come back. Camp Hosts - Dan & Linda were great and extremely polite & helpful. Thank you!

This park is, like almost all Missouri parks, a big camp ground with lots of interconnecting trails. The trials are challenging with lots of trees and mushrooms, as well as a man made lake.They were well marked but not well worn with trail walkers, meaning some were overgrown. We went through three of the trails, and found them to be mildly interesting. Lots of spiders too. Two ponds located on the deer run trail caught my eye due to the different conditions, one was extremely clear, you could see to the bottom, while the other was like a big mud hole.One thing that stood out to me was that there was really no parking for just hiking, we ended up parking at a bathhouse.

Wonderful park we just happened upon. We arrived on a rainy day and it was so peaceful in the park. We only had 1 night to stay and would have enjoyed more time there. But we will return when we are back traveling through that section of the country. The staff was VERY helpful and friendly.

The pull through site was large and private. The host met us at our site and gave us good information. The playground was clean and well padded. Lots of shade. The showers were hot and clean.

What a nice place, we loved it. No fancy stuff or even water or sewer at the sites. But it is great. Clean, well kept, hosts that know what is going on and how to be friendly happy and helpful. Near the Interstate. Very nice!!

We loved our stay here. Volunteer staff was friendly and helpful. The campground was quiet and super clean. The park has many great trails which were well maintained. We can't recommend Wallace and it's staff enough.

Great staff is the reasoning for two stars. Experienced abnormal airplane traffic during my 24 hour stay, fellow campers who very well may have been homeless, and an inability to acquire appropriate solitude for a walk-in campsite. The park is too close to an interstate as well.

Amazing campground! All campgrounds are connected to each other by trails, also amphitheatre is nice, clean showers and bathrooms, large field to play with swings.
