The food here is great and unlike anything throughout the state or region. Service lacks slightly as it's a new place and the staff are learning the ins and outs. Most of the staff are college aged, but managers are entirely new to the business. Great selection of sports games on at all times, and excellent selection of beers on tap. The decorating inside is top notch and you can tell they really went out of their way to make it appeal locally. More to follow, but a healthy start and worth the money to pay for the meal or game day!

Went to Walk-On's yesterday to do some work and have lunch in Columbia, what I didn't know was that I was going to be served by some of the best people around. The service between the manager Christian and the two bartenders Mikayla and Alora, I felt like a regular that had been coming here forever. The food was delicious I had the chicken bacon avocado club and handful of different draft beers and a chocolate chip cookie with ice cream, whip cream and chocolate drizzle which was absolutely amazing. The genuine staff and high standard for consumer care in this location is obviously present. Very enjoyable experience and I can't wait to come back

While traveling, we stopped here for dinner. We shared tastes of salad & the gumbo as add-ons to dinner. The gumbo was very delicious, smoky & and a bit spicy. Salad was very nice mixed greens and cold & crispy, dressing on the side.I had the redfish tacos, which were delicious & came with tortilla chips & queso. The queso was a bit thick, maybe floury but edible. Husband had the red beans and rice which came with their smoked sausage--the food was wonderful! The restaurant was a 'sports bar', theme carried a little too far, as I could see 12 TVs without even turning my head. The constant movement from the screens is a bit nauseating & disorienting. Our server was sweet but seemed unable to procure the second beer my husband asked for before he finished his food. She said the bartender was ignoring her???? What? But took it off the bill, since it never showed up in a reasonable waiting time.Restaurant was very busy on a Tuesday night. The food was quite good & different than what many chains offer, so we enjoyed it, and it looked like those around us were also quite enjoying the food.

We had the best time watching the AFC championship game with the chiefs here! They have TVs on every wall so you can see whatever game or games you're looking for. The staff were so friendly and attentive. We had great service the whole time. The food was delicious. My husband described the salad: "this might be the best salad I've ever had." Great sports bar experience!

First time here. Liked it. Will come again. Boom boom shrimp appetizer was good. Jumbo shrimp dinner with sweet potato fries was also good. Cocktail sauce and tartar sauce were both good. Crawfish ètouffèe was tasty but I wish it had more rice and the crawdads were tiny, but there were still plentiful enough to flavor the dish. Got a side of red rice and beans. Very good. Again, a little light on rice. Bathrooms were clean. Service was prompt and helpful.

Mostly the food. The wait staff was pleasant enough, but I think I should be checked on at least once after my food arrives. The chef stopped which was nice, but the food! It was sooo good, I coulda died! We had the chicken bomber sandwich, a cajundilla, and boudin balls, and there wasn't a loser in the lot. Highly recommend!

Walk-On's has a really nice feel overall, will be a great place to grab food and watch games with the guys. Plenty of TV's in the building, there is a lot to choose from on the menu as well.Overall service experience, host table and servers all did a great job, the buzzers were very attentive and quick to grab things when we finished plates.Overall food opinions:Gator Bites: They are perfectly breaded, fried and seasoned, I will for sure get those when I come back next.Crawfish Etouffee:It was not the size serving I was expecting, but still was filling, The roux itself was delicious, but I think it would do well with a little "heat" added to it. Ahi Tuna Bowl:Tuna itself was delicious had a nice smoky flavor to it, the sauce it had on it was also quite delicious. Wish the edamame had been warmed instead of cold.Surf and Turf Melt:The burger was cooked well and was very juicy, the shrimp and sauce on it were very tasty as well. Fries were a little over-saltedBread Pudding: had a very nice flavor and consistency, I do wish it was bigger or came with ice cream! Will definitely be back when this place launches Monday!

This was my first experience at Walk-On's here in Como and it did not disappoint! We had Brandon as our server, let me just tell you that you should request him every time you visit Walk-On's. He got us everything we needed speedy quick and gave us great recommendations about what food and drinks we should order. We recommend the mozzarella logs and the death valley drink. A delightful staff overall.

I sat at the bar last night. It was busy, but it wasn't all that busy took me 1520 minutes to get a beer sitting at the bar wash my hands. There's no paper towels, no hand dryers in the bathroom. They were a mess ordered food that never came, the service sucks and I do mean sucks. I'm a pretty easy-going person for me to say this has to be something I recommend not going there.

July 3, 2024, 4:30 pm - Shrimp Po boy was on point (for the Midwest). Would make me a regular if I lived in the area. Shrimp on every bite. Waffle fries were way over salted. Perhaps Lawry's? Just couldn't eat 'em.I will keep this place in mind the next time I have to go to the VA Hospital.
