Waldo Cafe

I love Waldo Cafe! I can't speak to the ambiance or service, because I have only ordered delivery from here through Door Dash. I have ordered breakfast twice; both times I got the breakfast sandwich with American cheese, fried egg, and turkey sausage. I love that they offer turkey sausage, because a lot of other popular breakfast spots only offer pork. I have also ordered the pancakes, which are delicious! For less than $4, you get a giant pancake. I love the value too-everything on the breakfast menu is $12 or less, and the portion sizes are generous. The first time I ordered breakfast from here, they even threw in a cinnamon roll for free (which was yummy). Waldo Cafe is definitely a place I will order from again!

We recently went here for breakfast. First, just a need old fashion restaurant. Everyone there is super friendly and helpful. Place has a lot of seating.They start you out with a complementary fresh made cinnamon roll. I apologize for not getting a picture. They are excellent. Just the right amount of icing and cinnamon. My wife got the Denver omelet with potatoes and an English muffin. She said it was the best Denver omelet she has had. It was a lot of food. I got the breakfast platter: eggs, sausage and instead of potatoes and bread I opted for the French toast. As you can tell from the picture I started eating before I snapped the picture. Everything was delicious.A good hardy breakfast at very reasonable prices. Everything I look for when I go out for breakfast.I can't wait to go back and try them for lunch. They have a very big menu.

A group from work had breakfast here. The total experience was excellent. I will be coming back with Mr. G.The resuraunt was able to easily accommodate our group of 14 people. There were plenty of cinnamon rolls, in fact our waitress brought out a second plate before we ordered.The coffee was good, the half and half, that wasn't flavored, was in good supply on the table, and the coffee service was good, in that I didn't have to ask for a refill, the refill was provided in a timely manner by the staff.Our waitress has a great sense of humor and was ready to joke with our group.Now onto the food.It is hard to choose what to order. I stepped out of my usual bacon and eggs breakfast platter and had the Tomato, Avocado, Spinich Omlette. The clincher on this was the hollandaise sauce. This came with grits (which needed salt - and salt was on the table), and I ordered a biscuit. Which was yummy.The servings were huge, so I had to get a to go box.I realized that I didn't get my usual bacon, and my ommlette was so good I didn't miss it.I would recommend the Waldo Cafe just for the cinnamon rolls. The food is an added bonus.

Our second visit to Waldo Café took place late in the day at 2pm on a Saturday-one hour before closing time. Shortly after we walked in, the door was locked, and the shades were pulled. The cinnamon roll was tasty, but it had been tossed around and was in pieces. The potatoes were cold, dry, and very tough as if they had been in a warmer for quite some time. The eggs and biscuits were fresh. Our server was attentive and friendly just like last time. Our decision to visit the restaurant so late in the day resulted in diminished food quality and overall experience. Should I visit Waldo Cafe in the future, Ill be sure to visit before noon to ensure the best overall experience.

Gluten-free, bread and buns available, amazing food and -what?!! Live music sometimes!!! Hurry and get some of this incredible goodness!!!Plus- the owner is the nicest!

This place is legit! They even give one free cinnamon roll per person. I have NEVER seen that at any cafe or diner before. And it's not just any ole cinnamon roll. It's a square cinnamon roll that's so unique and amazing in flavor you just want to sit and savor every bite. My husband loved his pancak

To the Manager that made my order & made sure I got it; I love her! I want to thank her because she didn't necessarily have to go out of her way & she did! Customer service out of this world. Truly made my morning! The food is great. It's simple but PERFECT. The complimentary cinnamon bun is always a nice treat. I didn't get her name & should have but I just want to really shout her out & say she's beyond outstanding.

So good! Down home, no frills great food and outstanding service. The complimentary cinnamon rolls were a nice surprise and we're amazing! We will be back the next time we are in town.

We have eaten at neighbors in lees summit. We're you're greeted right away., asked how many and put on a list. We ate at waldo cafe..talk about some rude waitress! We waited a while until we were seated. When seated we waited a while..A man said "I'll bring cinnamon rolls. We waited started to leave and a waitress said "you're leaving? I can get your drinks, but I'm not your waitress!"Then a waitress came by and Saud "Sorry you had to wait a couple of minutes" She didn't see how long we waited. She was sarcastic and rude. Our food was pretty good, but i don't want to go back. We can get treated better at other restaurants!
