Live jazz Wednesday! Great Staff here! We tried the restaurant week special...I had big hopes for the Mac N Cheese flight and 2 outta 5. But you come for the COCKTAILS which were 6 outta 5! I love a spicy drink and after first choice Prescription Sour I asked if she had any others. They went downstairs and got the "new concoction" !! Hope it ends up on the menu! My sister prefers Whiskey and also raved over both her drinks!

If you are looking for a fabulous downtown vibe, then give Voo Lounge a look. Outstanding crafted cocktails with rotating, seasonal-ish specialties along with plenty of other standbys await you!Found in the lower area of the historic Muehlebach Hotel, Voo has a prohibition, speakeasy feel about it. A lot of the original wood and flooring has been preserved and restored and the member liquor cabinetry along the wall near the entrance lets you know that this is a place with style. Sample from the drink menu, unless you wish only a glass of wine or other. The handcrafted, exclusively designed cocktails come to order and match the Voo's chill vibe.It's also a piano bar and there is some purdy fair talent that rolls through. I can't remember the young man's name but he was like a human karaoke machine, kicking out tunes from Burt Bacharach to Marcy Playground and any tempo & style within. Another visit gave us a chance to see a small jazz combo accompany the pianist for a taste of old Kansas City. So cool!Parking is downtown, which is to say, well, figure it out. But the drinks are worth the wait and maybe the walk and the atmosphere and service is top-shelf, just like a lot of the liquor that flows at Voo.

A long time ago there used to be a bar in this space, which was part of the old Hotel Muehlebach.It was THE place to be.Harry Truman had a special table. Ernest Hemingway hung out here.Truman Capote did, too.Then it all went away -Downtown Kansas City fell out of favor and the building sat empty for a few decades.Now it's back and it's banking on the locals' love of Kansas City's decadent past.A 1920s-inspired old time long bar takes up most of the upper part of the split level space. A few tables and booths make up the remainder of the room.I like the live entertainment - though the sound tends to bounce around and make it a little hard to hold a conversation.I also like the drink menu - which features a little something for everybody.

Great stop for some drinks. They're changing their ways and bringing in some high end ingredients and elevating their cocktails!

This is a cute spot. We came on a Saturday night and we were able to hear live music. I ordered an off menu drink but it was good. We also ordered the fizz drink. Food: we had the crab wanton nachos and they were good. We had good service as well.

Such a cool joint to enjoy cocktails and jazzy lounge music! I walked in for a cocktail and was instantly intrigued by the lady laying on the piano singing... he voice was great, the music was wonderful and the venue was spot-on! They have traditional cocktails, but it's not a craft cocktail joint. Wine list is also typical for a Marriott bar as well, but the venue is nothing like other typical Marriotts!Service was decent... Cocktail was nice... The venue was what I enjoyed most.

Really enjoyed the drinks and ambiance of Voo Lounge. My husband and I were visiting Kansas for the night, and our hotel recommended this bar. We are so glad that we went. The staff is so nice and knowledgeable on cocktails. We also really enjoyed the entertainment for the night. It was a perfect ending to our evening.

I go to the Wednesday night jazz show and I sing. I get standing ovations every time I sing. My wife and I usually get an order of the crab nachos which are great,

This lounge is located at the Marriott downtown KC. I liked the seating arrangements and ambiance right away. Appetizers were ordered along with drinks. Our server was quick and efficient during the short stay. Overall, it is a nice place to get a bite and beverage while waiting for others to meet up.

Since this is downtown parking might not be easy besides that I do love their location. The food menu changes according to the season and the service were really really good. It's really a nice place where you can enjoy an evening with your loved ones or friends company by a good music. At first, I thought they serve some food that's really fancy and goes really well with your cocktail or wine
