Service was prompt and waitress friendly. The waitress spent a lot of time visiting with the people at a table next to ours and their loud voices made it difficult for me to hear people at my table. My food just wasn't that good - I had the fajita taco salad. Companions had tacos and said they were really good. Their cheese appetizer with scallops and shrimp is excellent. I've had the fajitas and they are good.

The service was top notch. The host was witty. The place was clean andDecor fun. The bathroom clean. The food is just so underwhelming. The price is good. Food arrives quickly. Just so so and bland.

You had me at carafe of margarita. Why buy four when you can buy one of them, for cheaper!?Stopped in Vista Grande on a rainy weekday and was pleasantly surprised by their lunch menu. I had the grilled chicken taco salad and inhaled it.It's a typical Mexican vibe but with tons of TVs. The venue is well kept and clean. There's plenty of seating and they could easily accommodate a large group. The rice wasn't anything I'd order again, salsa was nothing to write home about, chips were stellar and service was sublime.Come for a carafe, stay for lunch at Vista Grande!

I have to start with the terrific service we received from Justin. He was terrific and made our dining experience very nice. The restaurant is decorated. It feels dated and somehow disrespectful to the culture. This may be a taste preference due to where we are both from we found the food very disappointing. The biggest flavor profile s the salsa and that's only due to the massive amount of chili powder. The guacamole was not very good. The queso was on the same level as the guacamole. Everything else is very bland. The menu is very limited with most items being fried. The rice tastes boxed or it is held for too long and is old. My husband had the seafood tacos his comment was they were cooked. The flour tortillas were mass produced and not fresh. I had the shredded beef tacos. They were not very flavorful and the corn shells were boxed. It would have been nice if the were warmed. I do not see us coming back here, it's really not the type of food we enjoy.

Courteous staff, chips good with marginal salsa, great entrée. Margarita tastes like country time lemonade, pointed this out to server who told Manager to come over who was quite honestly defensive and rude. Stated margaritas have never been complained about and have a 'secret ingredient' - eventually revealing they use powdered limes! Quite honestly I've had better margaritas at a college party (except ours actually had alcohol in them) Good food but don't bother at with drinks.

Long time establishment in Osage Beach. Nothing real special and tame spicing. If you want to heat things up a bit, they will provide some processed jalapeños that you can add to their Roma sauce - this almost fits the bill.I had a Grand (burrito, enchilada d and taco. The taco was uneventful, the balance was better than Taco Bell, anyway.Margarita was acceptable.

Listen. I'm not telling you how to live your life. However, if you're looking for some bland af rice, and salsa that has been seasoned with a more-than-average amount of chili powder, you may just enjoy this mess.I'm sure they don't use seasoning for fear of scaring away their demographic of elderly country folk that get a little frantic at the sight of a pepper...but they also charge at least twice what a traditional Mexican restaurant charges for about the same quantity. It's not that it was bad, it's just that it definitely wasn't good.

Welp........ what can I say. I wasn't expecting a lot out of a Mexican place by Lake of the Ozarks, but Vista Grande was somehow less than that.I really feel that 50% of a Mexican restaurant's worthiness can be given solely based on their salsa... and that's where things began to go wrong. We were quickly seated and brought baskets of chips with salsa. The salsa was milder than Eve before she realized there was something else growing on the tree besides leaves. For real. Salsa needs something besides tomatoes. I thought this was a given? And while Eve may have discovered apples, I am certain that this restaurant would not have done the same. They also seemed to have missed the fact that there are peppers in the world. While they may have avoided original sin by this, it has their made their salsa sinful. There *appeared* to be chunks of pepper in the salsa, but I am pretty sure it was a mirage. I've had bell peppers pack more spice. Even though there were some tomatoes in here, I am also questioning whether it was actually made of soylent green due to the general lack of flavor. After getting our chips, we ordered some drinks and they were at least reasonably priced. I had a beer and my friends had margaritas (I tasted one and it was pretty average). Nothing in the drink area made or broke my review and our sever was absolutely fine. What broke me was the lack of decent vegetarian options, the aforementioned plain salsa, and the complete lack of spice in any of the entrees. I had the spinach enchiladas. They were plain. As in Little House on the Prairie plain. Like the kind of plain you find at the local first Baptist potluck. I came for spice and got nothing nice (except drink prices and decent service). That is all.
