Vintage 78 Wine Bar

Warmth and knowledge of staff is unique and addictive! Everyone at Vintage 78 is incredibly knowledgeable and their friendliness keeps me coming back. I meet like-minded people there and thoroughly enjoy the experience.

What a little gem of a place to explore great wine! I took my husband here, who is a bit of a wine connoisseur and enjoys exploring different wine. He had a great time exploring with the very knowledgeable server, Chris. I honestly don't know who enjoyed the experience more! There is also a good selection of bites to go along with the tastings, however, I would appreciate more vegetarian (minus cheese) options. That being said, there was ample offerings and the chocolate at the end was divine.

This was a bit of a mixed bag again. I love the decor and our server was great once again. However, my friend that I met up there may have been a little too vocal on her opinions regarding pricing and the music (which was completely unexpected and not something I would choose to listen to - something similar to Tech9 style rap) as we garner some strange looks from the employees/owner sitting at the corner of the bar. We ordered a bottle of wine only to have a gal come over and say they were out of it but when we showed her it was in the menu she went back and found it. The wine and service were spectacular. I felt really uneasy and unwelcome both times I went. I'm not sure I'll go again but I do think this place has potential.

There are just so many cocktail bars that have been opening up recently, that I've just been bored by them! How many does one need?! Vintage 78 is the perfect change in pace and in a great part of town!The menu is HUGE... maybe a bit overwhelming. But, it was really nice to be able to get a half glass and just try different things. Our server also was SO knowledgeable and helpful. We each told him what we liked and he helped make choices. We didn't have any food, but after the table next to me received their meal, I wished I'd perused the food menu more, as the build your own charcuterie looked deluxe. The one thing I'd adjust a bit is the ambience. It was a bit bright inside and would've felt a bit cozier and hip if the mood lighting was there. I definitely am looking forward to returning!

This trendy little wine bar is anything but small in wine selections, food options, and knowledgeable staff. In fact, the menu can be a bit overwhelming when you first sit down, but rest assured, your server will be able to walk you through. Our host for the evening was Chris and he did a fantastic job. We had him put together a flight of two white wines and four reds, after talking through our taste preferences. Everything was wonderful and I even got a small tour of their impressive cellar. The food and charcuterie options are numerous but I love the idea of being able to put together whatever I desire, which could be two cheeses and some bread or a whole assortment of meats, fruits, and cheeses. Your really can tailor the experience to how you're feeling on any given day and they also have more substantial entree items if you're hungrier. Best yet, if you taste something that you like, you can purchase wines to take home. Highly recommend!

We needed a wine bar in DTOP and I'm beyond thrilled we have Vintage 78. Megan and Michael are a wealth of knowledge and are so kind. There is a ton of wine to choose from but if you don't know where to start, you can always ask for recommendations or choose from the available flights. If you ask for a rec, Megan/Michael will ask you a series of questions and narrow it down to a tasty glass. I haven't had a bad taste there.There's also a small, scrumptious, seasonal menu. I've only had the lobster roll (so good) but I watch everything come out of the small kitchen and it all looks tasty. TIP-- the last hour before closing is power hour! Megan will provide a tasting through as many wines as she can take you through in an hour for $50. It's a good deal because you can usually taste around a dozen.

Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was great and the wine selection was impeccable!

Fantastic experience at Vintage 78! We had such a great time--the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the wine selection was excellent, and the service was top-notch. Chris was our server and did an outstanding job with recommendations and food pairings, making the night even more enjoyable. Vintage 78 is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back!
