Veit's Pub and Grill

Looked up restaurants around Jeff City passing thru at lunch time. Wanted big salads. We had the hot bacon salad with grilled chicken and the fried chicken salad. Both were huge and fantastic. Highly recommend. Not fancy just clean and organized. We had good service.

Went for lunch after hearing a hot tip. Was not disappointed! Our server was so fun and the atmosphere was chill. Pork tenderloin was delicious along with the buffalo chicken dip. They have a lunch buffet through the week that I hear is very good. I am looking forward to trying it some day soon!

Great food, friendly service, and nice atmosphere. My dinner was delicious. I will definitely return to try more and recommend it to friends and family.

8/6/2024 I came in for lunch. I chose the buffet. Featured here is mashed potatoes, brown gravy, corn, green beans, bread rolls, fried chicken, fried fish, mac and cheese, lasagna, and a blue berry cobbler. They also have a salad bar. (I didn't try anything remotely healthy.) For service, I was greeted at the door and told to just sit wherever I wanted. If I had not looked at the menu, I would've been lost and confused about what to do. The dining area is more open concept, which makes it hard to hear someone if you are holding an important conversation or are hard of hearing. My server was Halilie M, and she checked on me several times.

II came in for lunch today, and it's been a while since I last ate at this place. My waitress, whose name I can't remember, mentioned that she was new. She was very helpful, friendly, and had a bright smile. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, and oh my gosh, I haven't had a good burger in a while! The place was really nice and clean. If anyone wants to get a good burger, it would be Viet's!

Best fried chicken in town! Extremely clean and Service is phenomenal. I recommend anyone traveling through Jeff city to stop and have lunch or dinner.

Low quality cheap food. If you're ok with generic flavor and quality, go for it! Don't waste your money.

Stopped in for a late lunch early dinner. I had chicken strips, fries and Mac and cheese. The chicken was hot fresh and excellent as were the fries. The Mac and cheese is fantastic. I totally recommend it as a side. My wife had the pork tenderloin and waffle fries. Again both were excellent and the tenderloin is enough for 3 sandwiches. I totally recommend both of these items. Athena S did the serving duties and did not disappoint. She was prompt professional and friendly. Great job.

Veit's is a rare gem in the city offering food with a home style goodness that's make the trip a good stop. The staff was friendly, warm, and professional. The ambiance was laid back and friendly. We plan to eat at Veit's again real soon.

The other day my wife and I went to Sam's for a new set of tires and a bit of shopping. Since we were done right around lunchtime we decided to find a new place to try. Wow, what a gem this was. Although we did have to wait a few minutes for someone to come seat us it was worth the wait. My wife got the French Dip and I got the bacon burger. We were both very happy with our selections. Homemade bread for the buns and great thin sliced roast beef along with a beautiful burger and fresh "fixins" to go on it. The lunch buffet was near the end of service so we chose not to try it, however we will be back later and try it. After so many mediocre meals here at the lake, it was quite refreshing to find really good food for a really good price. I recommend giving it a try if you are looking for some good food.
