Vee's Sweets and Treats

Small local business with friendly staff. There is no indoor seating, so we ended up taking our sandwiches to a nearby park, which on a nice day, works. For $22, we got 2 drinks, 2 good sized sandwiches, 2 chips and 2 desserts (cookie or donuts). Definitely a good value!The sandwiches were solid. Fresh ingredients and made well.

Well You All,I finally made it to this lil place after a long time of saying I wanted to try it. I've heard good things about it over time, but hadn't made it in that direction until recently. I hated to give it only one star, but I wasn't impressed enough to give it more.I stopped in early in the morning for my all time favorite apple fritter. I was surprised that it was nearly 5.00 for one. Its size was very large so I somewhat understood its pricing. It wasn't worth it, At All! It didn't look fresh so why I brushed it off, I don't know. I guess I'd waited so long to get there I REALLY wanted to give them a try and hoped for a different outcome. MY Bad! It absolutely brought new meaning to DAY OLD Donuts. It was more like DAYS OLD! I grabbed a blueberry donut as well on my way out and crazily thought it would be ok. Leave It To Beaver! Much to my dismay both were lousy and that's being nice! The fritter was hard and OVERLOADED/DROWNED with tons of glaze. It was waaaaayyyy too much! I didn't notice it as much until I took it out of the bag and prepared myself to eat it. It was hard as a rock and not good at all! My expectation was a freshly baked, reasonable size portion, lightly glazed apple fritter like The Hen House has. Not so! To top things off, where were the apples? Not THERE!!! Geeeezzzzz...how disheartening! To sum the visit up, the blueberry donut didn't suffice either. It was hard also and too sweet. Not appetizing, at all so off to the trash they went!Needless to say, after all this time of waiting and anticipating great pastries I merely stopped in and made a donation to this place. Maybe yesteryear proved to be delicious, but not now!My experience, my opinion. Enough said.

I'm sad to say, this spot was not a show stopper. It looks like they have changed ownership as the name on the receipt was different. I got 9 donuts for $20 and they were nicely sized, but not sweet. More like a fluffy piece of bread. I went around 9am, and they didn't have that much in stock. It seems like their focus is more on the deli sandwiches they make.

Hole in the wall. Really a hole in the wall. Best kept secret in this neighborhood. I live a few blocks away and pass it often. Found out they had pastrami sandwiches so I had to try it. The staff was really Friendly like they were family. I tried their pastrami sandwich but forgot to tell him I like that hot, nothing like a hot pastrami sandwich. They really need a sign that sticks out.

Great service, great sandwiches and bakery. Clean Nice and Friendly! I truly recommend .

Love it here they make me want this breakfast lunch and diner it's really that good

:^) The food and help at Vee's Sweets and Treats is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! :^) I'm vegan, and I've still gotten some Extremely YUMMY Sandwiches AND Donuts! There are SO many different breads to choose from for the sandwiches, and SO many delicious ingredients the counter ladies can put together in them for you! The Raised Glazed donuts, too are SUPER! They're HUGE! - AND satisfy my sweet tooth!!! Honestly! They're extremely filling and delicious!! The Donut Holes, of course, ARE EVERY BIT THE SAME.Plus, the ladies helping there can put a new glow on your day! They're VERY sweet and happy to help!

Love love love their donuts and oh, the chocolate chip and pecan cookies. And it's hard not to pick up the giant apple fritter. Not a fancy place though and no seating. But you won't regret going.

Best Reuben in Kansas City, hands down! Freshly baked pastries and cookies are an added bonus.

Wow! Just wow! This was one of the best experiences the cookie that I ate was fantastic. The service was phenomenal and they just know how to cook. Here's to 20 more years of Vees cheers.
