I'm not a huge fan of Missouri wines, but I am a big fan of Van Till! This was my first time to make the drive to Rayville, just past Excelsior Springs and I can't wait to go back. And the pizza was delicious! I can't wait to go back and listen to some live local music

We live about an hour away from this restaurant. We have been there a couple of times while staying at a bed and breakfast in the area. We really enjoyed our previous two visits and had pizzas that had vast amounts of toppings and we would rate those visits as 5 star experiences. We were passing through and were excited to return. On this trip, we ordered a pizza with a gluten free crust and a bottle of wine. When the pizza arrived, it had little toppings and resembled a Totinos pizza (very small and lightly topped) - not at all like the pictures in other reviews or our previous experiences. We told the waitress that it did not meet our expectations for a $30 pizza. She was polite and said she'd go ask/tell the chef. She came back and told us the chef said they'd been making them for 18 years and this pizza didn't differ from any other. The waitress apologized for that response but the chef never came over to see us. We expressed disappointment but went ahead and ate the pizza. She came back later and said she told the manager too but again, kind of a tough luck message. We were there around 3:30 and it was not busy. We were shocked that neither the chef nor the manager came to see us. We are petite people and never eat an entire large pizza but we did that day (because it was so small). We paid our bill, left a nice tip but felt like we were robbed. Our bill was about $80 (pizza, wine, tax, tip). Anyway, we had a poor experience and will not be going back. We regret that we failed to take a picture.

The wife and I absolutely love this place! Beautiful outdoor seating with live music(not too loud), and the pizza is to die for! Don't let me forget the wine...it's incredible as well!

Delicious wine and pizza. Great service. The wine garden was so neat and cute, even in the middle of winter. My husband and I tried the wine tasting, then enjoyed wine and pizza in the wine garden, which was a unique and fun atmosphere. We tried the bread sticks and a pizza; half Tuscany and half Fire Roasted Apple Bacon. The pizza and breadsticks were made fresh in a brick, wood fired oven just a few steps away from our table. We were visiting from out of town and Van Till was close to our hotel. I'm so glad we found this place and stopped in!

Great place. We did the wine tasting. $9 for six choices. And they had lots of choices. The photo is just the sweet wines. They have great pizza. Cooked in the outdoor oven. The plants were just starting to wake up from the winter so we want to come back when everything is blooming. Employees were all kind. Bathrooms were clean. And they had live music.

Impressive operation. It's a remarkable combination of investment, energy, and vision. The result is something special. They've created a space with attention, care, and many flashes of excellence. The pizza was the most surprising and most delicious part of the experience. The wines are Missouri wines, but they are exploring some interesting areas and doing more with dry wines (which is dearly needed).Pear dessert wine (port style) was impressive and vibrant. Constant focus on innovation, whether wine or beyond. Love to see it. If a breakthrough happens in Missouri wine, this is a likely spot for it. Prices are a notch higher than I'd like, but if it helps sustain the operation then all the better. And they definitely delivered a great experience. Looking forward to returning in a year or few.

This was a beautiful place to have a bottle of wine and pizza. The pizzas serves about 3 adults. You can only buy wine by the bottle which was a downside since we didn't have any place to store the rest of the wine as well as a tad expensive. The pizza was great. We had the Mediterranean which is made in a wood fired grill. During the daytime they only had one other group so easy to get a table.

Service was very good. Nice atmosphere. We ordered the Tuscan pizza at a price of about $33 for a 12-14" pie. It was supposed to be topped with Italian sausage, chicken and artichoke hearts. We found one piece of chicken, two artichoke pieces and about four lumps of sausage. This is our third trip there and the pizza toppings continue to shrink. I think this is our last trip to the winery. The charcuterie boards are also overpriced and small.
