Our favorite. A sparkling red to have with dessert. They introduced us to it now we always have it on hand!

Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT overlook this GEM in Brookside!Underdog Wine Co is fairly new to the neighborhood. Fairly small, we skipped by a few times, boy we didn't know what we were missing. After seeing it in business for a number of months, we finally stopped in... so happy we did!Love their weekly 6-for-$60. Always a great deal, have always enjoyed their selections. We aren't huge wine club people but we've maintained this one for sure. We enjoy the monthly selections and usually end up arguing at who gets the last glass! The best part is the special attention to details the owner can assist you in finding... if you want a certain / specific wine, he is more than accommodating and helpful.I feel it important to call it out and remind folks, this is a locally owned and operated business in the heart of our delightful neighborhood. Appreciate it for what it is and SUPPORT LOCAL. Give the owners the credit for what they are providing us... a lovely spot in the heart of our neighborhood where we can procure some lovely wines.Ryan - you've done well, Sir! Congrats on keeping small business alive in our community!

We love this place! Wonderfully curated selection of finer wines and whiskeys. The owners are deeply knowledgeable and will help you find what you're looking for. We regularly order in our faves to keep on hand at home. They also have great wine pairing classes and you can have a small gathering in their lower level area. It's just a great spot to gather with good friends. Highly recommend.

Probably the biggest ripoff I've been to. Don't have any special alcohols that grocery stores don't have. They have all of the same stuff as grocery stores just 5-10$ more. They sell maraschino cherries that are 5$ at any store for 28$. Ridiculous

This delightful treasure trove is deliciously packed from head to to toe with a well organized assortment of liquid adult refreshments. As described to me, by the ever helpful owner, bolder, full bodied wines are at the front of the store, and get progressively lighter towards the rear of the store. There are 3 different levels of shelves in the side walls, each shelf has it's own price point. The higher the shelf, the lower the price range. So...decide your price range/ shelf level, and then move to either the front or the back of the store to determine the body of your wine. There is a tag displayed below each wine, to aid in your selecting the perfect wine for your picky palate. The tag lays out the 1) Varietal, 2) Aroma, 3) Palate, 4) Body, and 5) Finish. There is a special shelving unit designated to "6 for $60"; a combination of any 6 bottles for $60. For those of you that are bargain hunting. There is a central unit stocked with an assortment of liquors for those who prefer a stiffer libation, and If beer is what you desire then you're in luck, there is an area consigned to the brew.No matter what you seek, the Underdog has made every effort to please in a way that just makes sense.

Underdog Wine Co. opened this week in Crestwood Shops next to Cafe Europa. The store offers a big selection in a small space. It may be less than 600 square feet, but that didn't deter owner Ryan Sciara from filling it with more than 400 bottles of wine. Walk past the fresh flowers and tastefully arranged rows of Riesling and Rosè and you'll find a fine selection of craft beer, spirits and gourmet chocolate. Although the space is small, it's well organized and comfortable. And the shop's size has other advantages, too, because there's help nearby if you need it. Ryan's expert opinion is always just a few feet away. For example, I wanted to know a good "springtime wine" so Ryan and his friend Pete helped me pick a delicious Rèserve de la Saurine Rosè. Underdog's selection is unique, and provides plenty of affordable options for all types of budgets.Chocolate-lovers will appreciate the delicious varieties offered at Underdog - including one of my local favorites, Askinosie Chocolate, in addition to Patric, Olive & Sinclair (pictured above) and Parliament Chocolate.Underdog Wine Co. is open Monday through Saturday 9:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

I live in the neighborhood and have tried to converse with the owner who is never friendly nor helpful the two times I've gone to his store. I don't get it.

This is actually for the other location on Gillham Hill rd, but couldn't find it in yelp. We did a private wine tasting for 6 people ($30 per person) last weekend at the shop. It was a great experience to the point where I actually am writing a review for the first time here. Chad was our host and did an excellent job choosing the wines based on my email and teaching us about them. I did it as a surprise for my husband who is very into wines and he even was able to learn a lot. Not only that but he choose wines that were affordable and when we liked one would describe several other similar wines we could try. We were there for several hours (we did have 5 full bottles of wine and plenty of great cheese) and it was an amazing way to spend the afternoon.Hands down would do again and think overall this is a great store.

Very special wine shop. Well-rounded selection and price points. Both locations offer similar selection and helpful people. Chad was especially helpful with suggestions to round out my case. We were able to buy a wine that isn't available in most stores. This is a wine shop to be that go to place for your wine buying experience.
