Ultimate Escape Day Spa

I have been here three times for a deep tissue massage. All of the staff are very kind and helpful. The space is extremely clean and calming. I really enjoyed the infrared sauna before the deep tissue massage. They provide robes and wraps as well as flip flops if you need them. I plan on scheduling all of my future massages here in the future!

I came to Kansas City for 3 weeks for work. I didn't have time to get a manicure because I had literally just come back from another work trip and had a quick turnaround. I found this place online and thought it was really nice and elegant. I wanted to get a massage that day too but there was nothing available so I just did a gel manicure. Now as a man I get manis and pedis often and have been for well over a decade. First let me say the person that did my manicure, Emily, was sweet. So this nothing against her at all. However, the manicure did seem very quick and I don't feel like she really treated my cuticles like I'm used to. Also the gel polish that they use there is so cheap. I got my nails done on a Saturday and by Wednesday I had already noticed it was peeling. Normally my gel manicures can last for at least a month. So yeah needless to say even though this place is nice I will not be coming here again for a manicure when I am in town again.

Just finished a 90 min Swedish/deep massage with trigger point therapy from the new massage therapist, Olivia - hands down BEST massage in years! I have had and enjoyed services at this little spa previously, but she knocked it out today and had to leave some feedback. Thanks for adding such a great masseuse to your team! Be sure to pop in early for your appointment and take advantage of the relaxation room.

I had a brow, lip, and chin wax along with nail polishing. I purposely did not wear makeup for this appointment but, after seeing the aesthetician I had the waxing with, wish I had. I personally think it is rude to make comments about someone having acne, dry skin, etc. at appointments like these. The appointment is supposed to be, in a way, relaxing, not make you feel self-conscious. Besides the comment making, she was not very friendly. She did a great job overall, though. I was then taken back to what I thought was a waiting area. I had a phone call and, as I was talking to the person, saw people coming in to the area wearing robes. I tried to be as quiet as I could; however, a front office rep came in and asked me to go to the front as they do not allow people to talk on cell phones in that area. There is not a sign that says this. The area is dimly lit, but I thought it was because this is a spa, as other areas are dimly lit as well. The nail stylist was very nice and did an excellent job on my nails.

My friend and I did a full spa day and it was fantastic!! Every, single staff member was great at their job! The services weee exceptional, the staff was friendly and the environment is relaxing. We will definitely be back!!

The ultimate escape day spa was a beautiful environment and incredibly relaxing hour long massage. We aren't from around here so I relied heavily on the reviews and it far exceeded our expectations.

Probably the worst pedicure I've ever had. The husband got me gift card for my birthday and we went in for the pedicures and came out with same feet... I always keep my toe nails short so the person did my pedicure didn't do much on my nails which I understand, but I went in for the service and get the dry skin taken care of, but I got nothing. The gentleman who's did my pedicure just touched my nails little bit and put the lotion on, that's it ! Feels like I just through money away, super disappointed.

I have had a few massages there and they were good. My issue is that they are so busy that I can't find a time that is open to match my schedule. The person who answered the phone told me I could get a refund on my gift card so I drove the 25 mins there. I was then told I could not get a refund. Waste of a drive, gas and time. I guess I will make an appt for next year

Finding a good day spa in Overland Park was my mission. I decided to give Ultimate Escape a try, and booked one of the packages they had available, specifically the "refresh renew". The package included a sauna session, 60 min massage, body scrub and facial. I was told to get there at 1215 and my appointment started at 1230. I arrived on time, was texted two forms to complete before i could go back. I thought these forms could have been sent to me ahead of time, to expedite the experience. After, I went back first to the massage room with Jenny. She was warm, and spoke with me a minute about the pressure i preferred. I told her medium-firm, which seemed understood during our conversation but at the time of massage she went too light and didn't concentrate on areas I would've preferred. In her defense I should've mentioned my preferences again but I find it tiresome, since I already had. Also, there were a lot of loud banging sounds just outside the room that i could hear during the service, and creaking sounds in the room I couldn't quite place. All in all, I wouldn't return to the day spa for this particular service. Next was sauna, infrared. This was nice. However when I laid down inside, I noticed a lot of dirty footprints on the wall, could use a good cleaning. After that I went to Ilona, for body scrub and facial. She was nice and seemed knowledgable about the services. The body scrub was not something that was scrubbed. Which is what I had imagined it would be. She coated me in the goo and bundled me up in a plastic wrap, told me it was to remain on me for 10 minutes. She was in the room with me as it soaked into my skin, maybe this was a chemical exfoliant of some type, but that wasn't explained to me. I thought this 10 minutes could've been utilized better, maybe providing facial or head massage, or starting the skin consultation process. After the soak, I was directed to the shower and told to rinse off the scrub. It did leave my skin feeling oily soft. The facial came after and she started with a gentle cleanser, all or most of her products were "image". She also did a gentle mask, extractions, serums and lip balm. I fell asleep during some of her service, very relaxing, the bed had a heating pad that makes that easy. I would return to Ilona for facial. I have sensitive skin, congestion and and redness. After the service, I noticed these things improved. I would have also liked to have been offered a drink other than water, I noticed a tea wall when i entered the spa. Ultimate escape day spa was above average overall, every employee I came into contact with was professional and kind. Just some smaller notes along the way. I would return to Ilona for facial services, but I would dodge the steep price-tag for the other services.
