This is a cool, local shop with some great options for gifts in Corinth Square. I like how well thought out all the various curations are, including cool apparel, vintage puzzles, and stuff for plant lovers (i.e., my wife). First off, kind of a perfect location for those in the neighborhood as you can knock out a lot in Corinth Square and grab some gifts along the way. If you're a National Park lover, look for their candles, postcards and puzzles. They also have cool coffee mugs and some of the best looking blankets I've seen around town. Hard to nail down specifics in this review because there are so many unique things, but those were some standouts that caught my eye. Shop local and check this spot out! Oh and I should add their website has a LOT of the goodies you can find if you need some inspiration: https://www.tylerkingston.com/

In a recent review I mentioned taking my wife on a "day date" to visit several locally owned shops of unique character. The second stop on that list was Tyler Kingston Mercantile.Situated in the Corinth shopping area of Prairie Village, it was hard to miss this location. The parking lot was busy, but it was the weekend before Thanksgiving and the weather was GORGEOUS, so why wouldn't people be out?! :-)The store was spacious and open with lots of natural light. It was a lovely place to shop. We saw a collection of boho-chic clothing and accessories as well as various collectibles and gifts... a good selection over all. There was also a rich collection of Kansas City garb and gifts. My favorite items were in the barware section. In total there were great gift options for both men and women. There were two sales associates on duty and both were friendly and helpful. My wife loved the shop even more than I and added it to her list of places to take her sisters when they visit from Texas.

We dropped by Tyler Kingston after grabbing ice cream at Summer Salt. This plaza in general impressed us and TK was no exception. It is a fun little gift shop that was well curated with local goods, many of which we haven't seen anywhere else. We loved all the "Kansas - It's Not That Bad" merchandise and picked some up. Friendly service topped off our visit. Check it out!

BUYERS BEWARE!!! they do not return your money only give store credit. Do not buy clothes from them. I bought a shirt for a gift and sized up as I was told, before paying I asked the girl at the front desk if I could returned if it didn't fit and she NEVER mentioned only store credit. I would not have bought it otherwise. Turned out, they don't have any sizes to exchange it for but the website that makes the shirt does (Howlers Bros). I lost $85 dlls and I still need to purchase the shirt again. Buy directly from the tags website.

I purchased several items a few weeks ago for a young lady's birthday from this store that I have shopped in almost every weekend as it is in my neighborhood and always loved it.However, I tried to return one $18 bracelet as I kept the other two for her along with over $150 of other items she loved. I was treated so poorly as I tried to make this small return today and was informed they had a 14 day return policy. I informed the gal at the counter it was a gift and I didn't realize they had such a small window for returns. She just recited the policy two more times. I asked her to call her manager as I know exceptions to keep a life long customer who spends hundreds of dollars in the store may be worth keeping over a small $18 return. She texted the General Manager who obviously didn't care either and I was told no returns... so disheartened to be treated like this at a local shop and I will never shop here again as well as tell all my FB friends, neighbors and everyone I know, not to shop here. It's not about the money, it's about customer service! This store, just could care less.
