True Food Kitchen

We love this place! This is my second time back. I took my wife and another couple after I had a business meeting there last time.Both couples enjoyed the Thai noodles, one with tofu and the other with chicken and they were amazing! my dining companion had the veggie double cheeseburger and I had the grass-fed cheeseburger! Everyone enjoyed their meals immensely the place was magnificent. I love the interior here as well as the incredibly friendly staff and staff.Free parking is just up the street next-door. We can't wait to return!

Me and my wife walked in on Saturday 12/21/24 around 5pm with our registered service dog for our first time at True Kitchen, hoping to enjoy a nice meal. We were nicely greeted by the host and we let her know we had our registered service animal with us. She acknowledged him kindly and directed us to our table. After being sat at our table, I got up to go to the restroom and after a couple minutes my wife called me (who has PTSD) and explained to me the manager went up to our table (Joel Scott) and had asked her what the dog was with her for. She explained to him why and then he told her that the ADA doesn't not acknowledge PTSD service animals and that he cannot allow our dog in their restaurant. Well.. after I came back from the restroom. I spoke up to him and let him know that in fact he is a registered service animal and the ADA does acknowledge PTSD. He continued to argue with me and mentioned I can take him back to the car and come back to enjoy our dinner. IT IS CLEARLY listed on their website for anyone who cares to fact check this. (Joel Scott) informed me he has been in the restaurant business a long time and told me PTSD animals are not allowed. We have been to numerous restaurants, trips and flights with our dog and have never had a complaint anywhere else. I immediately asked for his name and information and he was quick to offer his card and contact information. After this embarrassment in front of others dining in, we left the restaurant. Needless to say I have already contacted the ADA and filed a complaint and want to let others know in case you may want to bring your registered service animal to this restaurant.

Wonderful lunch spot. I split the margarita pizza with a friend and it was the perfect size for two not to mention it tasted AMAZING. I never knew something so simple could taste so delightful. I don't know why I was surprised that it tasted like TRUE food lol my daughter hates pizza and she devoured a slice. I also tried the lavender matcha and it was heaven!

Food is fresh, high quality and always delicious. The head Chef there is fantastic. Had brunch on Saturday and food was terrific, service great. The Chef sent out complimentary app & sweets for our table acknowledging our long time patronage to the restaurant, which was truly appreciated. Highly recommend the Breakfast Tacos, Guacamole and Avocado Toast. Honestly never had a bad meal here. Everything is delicious. We dove into our food immediately...this was the only picture I was able to get before these were gone in a flash too.

Great service, great atmosphere, great food! Quickly seated for lunch and food came out quick. I got what I always get, the sweet potato glass noodle bowl, and it was delicious like always! The tofu was cooked great and I kept the mushrooms in this time and for someone who doesn't like mushrooms, they were so yummy!! Hubby got the bison pizza and thought it was yummy, but with the jalepeños it had quite the kick. We will be back, always a good option when we aren't exactly sure what sounds good

This is our go-to breakfast spot whenever we are heading home from Kansas City. They have really good healthy choices, we haven't had a bad meal yet. The service is always really good. We hope Tulsa gets one someday!

My go to spot for a healthy meal when I'm traveling for work. True Food Kitchen is nicely decorated with modern decor. The inside is open with a bar and lots of tables. They have a small patio. Their menu is seasonal. This place is on the expensive side but all the ingredients are fresh. I always get the teriyaki quinoa bowl and add the antibiotic free chicken.

Great spot in The Plaza. Food was very fresh and delicious. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. They hummus was amazing. After a day of traveling, I was hungry, but wanted something healthier to counter act the airport food I had all day. I also got the Hangover RX juice drink which was amazing. The staff was very nice too. Adding it to my list for when I'm back in KC again.

In KC for a few days tagging along on a business trip with my husband and found this place during my search for healthy lunch options ( this isn't a particularly healthy eating city ). I was so happy to see this place as an option ( I had been to one on LA and had a good experience there so was excited to try it)My experience was excellent. Friendly service and delicious food. I had the turkey burger with avocado spread and gouda on a gluten friendly bun and a side of kale salad. it was SO good. I love how they put the calories on each menu item to help me make healthy choices as well. I'm only in this city 2 days but may return tomorrow for lunch- it was that good.
