I love this thrift store! They have a few rooms and one has a good selection of books upon books with tables, chairs, book cases and such. They have awesome home decor (I'm a very eclectic person and they have cool/unique things) and they sell local art as well. The clothes selection is small but I've found some cool shirts. Prices are really good and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. They also have cookies to munch on which is so sweet of them! I could spend hours there. Go check it out!!!

This gem of a store is in a pretty rough neighborhood from the looks of it, but it's well worth stopping by. The staff was very friendly and seemed to share a refreshing positive attitude. I found higher end items next to bargain basement things, but on the whole prices were excellent and the merchandise isn't all crammed together which on first glance makes it seem a bit scant, but once you're actually shopping you can tell that the staff ensure that all items are in good repair. I really value that because what is the point of having hundreds of stained t-shirts in a thrift store? This isn't that kind of place. Despite its small and rather shabby appearance this little charity shop has class. I loved it.

There once was a huge record store on Main St. in Westport where the records were stacked 12 feet high all along the walls... and then they closed. And then they reopened in the West Bottoms. And then the owner passed away. And then they started giving away the records to thrift stores, and St. Vincent De Paul was the recipient of _thousands_ of records. Of course, they are a small store, so you will have to ask to see them, in the back, with no air conditioning or heating, so dress appropriately. But there are gems to be found, no doubt. And last I heard, they were going for 50 cents each (and they will make deals with you if you buy a box of them).

I LOVE this store. For a person on a fixed (broken) income such as myself it's great. I call it my Macy's on Troost (shh don't tell Macy's). Their merchandise is priced to move, and it's also in decent shape. The ladies there are nice and helpful. I recommend you give them a try.

I will never set foot in Troost39 Thrift Store ever again! They had the items in a bin that said fifty cents but when I got to the counter to pay for it they said those shouldn't have been in there and jacked up the price on me. Even Walmart will honor the price of items they incorrectly shelve or advertise so why shouldn't they? The cashier even stated she saw them in that bin and thought they shouldn't have been there... but they left them in the fifty cent bin.
