There aren't many "dance bars" in South JOCO, but this place is a great place to have a few cocktails, people watch and dance under the disco ball (DJ every night). Tuesday is ladies night, Friday and Saturday are usually quite busy. A little quieter during the rest of the week. Service is always great (especially if you've been in a few times). The owner, Danny, is a charming gentleman and runs a wonderful establishment. He always welcomes us in, and thanks us for coming by. Love this place!

An interesting spot - it reminds me of being in a casino bar. The crowd is definitely on the older side and there are clearly lots of regulars. Staff is all really nice and friendly. There's a small dance floor for anyone looking to dance.There is a bar in the front and one in the back - there's a sort of dress code here with more of a collared shirt vibe for patrons, but I also noticed staff doesn't adhere to this dress code which I found a bit weird. Drink prices aren't bad, but there is a $10 cover to enter which I feel like offsets the drink prices. Overall, a classy-ish joint that's great for someone looking for a more controlled (read: not sloppy) nightclub vibe.

In 2017 I went out to dance at this establishment and ended up being assaulted. I was standing near the dance floor when a total stranger slapped me on my butt. For no reason. I was just existing. Instead of punching the guy out, I ran over to the doorman who went and got a man who he said was the owner. They both told me, "Too bad. You should expect to be treated like that here." That is the experience I had. Yelp keeps taking down my review because apparently the details of the assault violate terms of service??It seems to me that Yelp should be more concerned about keeping women safe from harm and dangerous places. The police laughed at me.The assault left a red hand print on my butt.Nobody should get hit for existing. Not in a bar. Not anywhere.

Small dance floor but good music. Interesting crowd. You might feel out of place if you just drop by. Lots of regulars so hard to mingle.

We just got back from bar hopping at the Plaza since 3:30pm Friday. It was 8:pm, and we wanted to find a place to go chill and dance that was closer to home. Found this place on Yelp. We got there at 8:30pm. Our first impression walking in felt like a cool bar lounge. The crowds were mixed of age. Mainly 30's and up dressed in their best. There was a bouncer that was pleasing to the eye who welcomed us in. It was a $10 cover for each person which was reasonable. The reason why I say cover charge is reasonable is because the drinks were priced inexpensive. Very good pour of alcohol. Drinks were delish! So since it was our first time here, we didn't know the dress code. My husband was wearing just a white tshirt, nice slacks, and Sperry's. Men had to wear collared shirts.. We came straight from bar hopping at the Plaza. So instead of being rude about it or even telling us to leave, the owner offered him a nice collared shirt to wear. They resolved the issue without it being an issue. I was dressed in a tube top and nice shorts. Women basically wore what they wanted, but next time I will dress more formal with heels and everything. There's 2 bars. One located in the front when you first walk in, and the 2nd one in the back towards the squared dance floor. Party music didn't start until after 9:pm. They play oldie hits, 80's, 90's, etc. These are my jam! We were able to slow dance, shake our behinds, line dance, etc. Highly suggest reservations for tables. No drinks on dance floor which I appreciate since no spill accidents can occur. Employees were so nice! Love the bartenders and waitress! It's a fun place without the rudeness of other clubs in downtown KC. All the people here are all about having fun. We'll definitely be back!

So if you are looking for a well run business, look no further! I have been involved with retail and customer service for more years than I care to admit, this place has it down! Well lit parking, cover charge to make sure people want to be there, staff who know how to treat customers , clean and stylish (maybe a bit dated) interior , clean restrooms , a owner who greeted us and thanked us on the way out. Such a great experience! Kudos to the team. Now, for what you really want to know....is this a swinger friendly place? While I cannot confirm in one visit I can tell you I would not be surprised at all if there were a few lifestyle couples in the mostly well dressed if not a touch more mature crowd. But everyone we met, including the cute woman who bought my girl and I drinks, was so nice and genuine. We will be back, dressed better with more time to dance and enjoy! One last note to the owner. You have just knocked it out of the park. I personally watched you work the room, there are a lot of people in the hospitality world who could learn a thing or two from you!

The club was top notch. Service was impeccable. The drinks very well made. Danny made us feel very comfortable amidst the relaxing and elegant surroundings. The dance floor was roomy with the DJ spinning fabulous dance music. Excellent place where we will return. The Clancy's.
