I mean this in however you want to perceive this: Hibachi is basically going to Disney for dinner. And Toro does a great job in keeping you entertained and full. From wisecracking jokes to lots of fire, the meal is entertaining. The service is really good and attentive. Our group had a few apps. I ordered the steak and chicken. One in our group had a shellfish allergy and they accommodated her. What I don't love is getting tossed food that is sauced. I managed to not get too messy but out of 10 people at our table, only 1 was cued well enough to catch the shrimp (our shellfish allergy had to literally duck out of the way as it flew in her face ).Anyways, the food is really good and you'll have a good time.

Where do I start? Reservations were not tracked. It was first come first serve. Not a great first impression but since this visit was for a birthday we waited for a table. The service was terrible. Appetizers never arrived and server asked if I still wanted them while dinner was starting to serve. Water and drinks were left empty until other tables started complaining loudly. The chef (about the only positive of the evening) himself yelled at the guy to get his attention for us. The food itself was bland but the chef was very entertaining. Try Kyoto in Overland Park or Fuji in Liberty for great experience.

Large group of 12 on a Sunday night to celebrate my niece's birthday, I think everyone in the restaurant was celebrating a birthday. Staff was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I called to make a reservation, and they had plenty of hibachi seating available for the time requested. (A different restaurant had like a 4 hour wait time.) The wait staff was excellent and provided just the right amount of attention. We ordered a sushi roll and stuffed jalapeños as appetizers before we chose chicken and steak hibachi. As with any other hibachi service, the chef was entertaining and the steak was cooked perfectly. They have a "share" option in which you get an extra side of vegetables, soup, salad, and the rice or noodle side for a nominal fee, and we chose to do this so it cut down on food waste. We left completely full and thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary date night. We look forward to returning here again in the future!

Really very good sushi and asian food here. I've been here twice now and I like their variety of rolls as well as the quality. Taste very good with nice flavors and textures, as you would expect. The sauces are very nice and the portion and prices are reasonable. Good service, not too busy at lunch or dinner on a weekday. I like the ambiance as well, it's quiet, dark, and soothing in the dining area. It's exciting and fiery in the hibachi area. A fun and easy place to go for a meal with friends, family, or even on a date! Highly recommend.

We had 6:30 reservations and didn't get seated until after 7. Food was okay but not great. The chicken had little flavor and the chicken and shrimp were bland. I was most disappointed with the customer service and chef. Japanese restaurants are special due to the hibachi tables and show. Our chef had no presentation skills, didn't do all of the usual skills like the smoking onion or throwing the eggs in their cap. He almost threw our food on our plates and threw the shrimp all over with no regards for guests being prepared. The person next to me's shrimp bounced off her into my lap and he threw mine on the top of my head. Disappointed in the food and chef. Will try elsewhere next time when I want the Japanese steakhouse experience.
