Tin Roof - Kansas City

I went for a private event in their back room. The ambiance was just a little off - the lighting was too bright for a bar scene & the music volume kept getting adjusted to either too loud or not loud enough. After the event, we had drinks + apps in the main bar area. No complaints at all about service. The fried pickles were fresh & perfect temperature & came out quickly. A band was also playing. Definitely a good place for live music! The bathrooms were dirty & some locks were broken on the stall doors.

Stopped by last minute to watch the Chiefs game. Super cool setup outside with the BIG screen and a DJ that played during commercials. Had some wings and drinks, service was great, vibe was great, we will be back!

We came here on a Thursday night specifically to play trivia. My friends and I do a trivia night about once a month and often try different venues. We got there around 6:30 to get a booth. It was gross underneath the table -- the floor was kind of wet and there were several used napkins wadded up under it. It wasn't busy when we first arrived, but almost every table was full by the time trivia started at 7.I ordered a Jim Beam and diet and a friend ordered one of their speciality drinks (which also contains Beam). We were told that they might be out of Beam. I don't really care specifically for Beam, but I was wanting a cheap bourbon drink. They finally found what was possibly the last bottle of Beam (which is featured in their menu) because they might be discontinuing it. Mind you, this is right before Memorial Day weekend. Maybe don't feature a certain type of liquor on your menu if you're discontinuing it? Our server was actually great and she did her best to make up for the bar gaffe. She was prompt and kept the drinks flowing... probably the only reason I'm not giving this joint 1 star.I decided to order some nachos (one of a few vegetarian items on the menu). The chips were kind of stale, they were chintzy with the cheese and sauce, and they left something to be desired. They definitely could have used more pep, more sauce and more cheese to be called "Sloppy Nachos". This place was already "meh" but it got worse. When trivia started, they didn't really turn down the background music, making it extremely hard to hear the host over the mic. To make things worse, the trivia host was a mess. One of my friends thinks he'll be featured on Dateline as a serial killer in the next 5-7 years. He was all over the place and clearly liked to hear himself speak (thankfully we couldn't hear half of it).With the dismal food, weird drink menu situation, dirty floors and poor trivia hosting, I will not be back. Thankfully our sever was the only saving grace.

Ok. I love this place because it's always a good atmosphere. But today was the worst service ever. I literally was looked at by this server... she said "I'll be right with you " the whole football game passed and NOT ONCE ..Not once did she come to our table. I got up to order drinks and to order food at the bar. To me it's just crazy how she still made eye contact with us and still didn't come to us. I get it's a busy place ...but come on NOT ONCE!!! Severs like this make a good place look bad. Smh !! #horrible server !!!!

I cannot speak for what goes on in here on the weekends because I am terrified of the lines down the block and the insane sports watch parties that you can hear all the way down the block. However, I can say the food is stupid good. If you aren't eating at Tim Roof, you're doing it wrong. Highly recommend participating in Intelligence Check Trivia on Thursday nights, and that's a great opportunity to stuff your face with hot honey chicken tenders, fried pickles, and ranch. It's insanely good. Their appetizers, burgers, and tacos are so good, and the brunch menu is small but killer as well. I do have a distinct memory of one of my friends having to basically wring out her chicken taco because it was so wet, but the taste was great.

Favorite time to go is Sunday for day drinkIng. It's a great local music joint with all the genres. I have been thoroughly impressed with all of the talent they are recruiting for this new place. I was here when they first opened and things were a little bit rough on staffing. Came here again two months later and things were so much better. Which makes me so happy because I want this to be a staple in Westport.As a music junkie, this is a huge addition to our metro for local bands to play. Even better that it's in Westport and centrally located. I like how they decorated the outside with the turf, it gives it that great game day feeling for Sunday football. Well the inside has its own vibe. I like a lot of thought went into curating the space. Loaded tots are to die for! Had them every time I've stopped here.

Welcome to the party.This corporate nightlife concept isn't complicated. A band that plays your favorite songs performs inside. If that's not your bag, you can walk outside and enjoy an expansive patio and faux lawn.A couple of bars, one inside a modified shipping container, have all the ingredients to pour your favorite drinks.A menu full of bar food-themed dishes, I like the burgers, helps soak up the alcohol.Be prepared to have a good time.Please pace yourself.

So far so good! You can't go wrong with good service, good drinks and a good DJ when you're "day drinking". IJSKyle (bartender) was great. If we hadn't just come from brunch, we would have ordered vittles!While sitting at the bar, someone said, "beer makes you smart". Of course I said, how? he said, because if Bud makes you wiser (Budweiser). ‍

Pass on This One! Service was awful, tables were so sticky we shared our lunch with bee's all afternoon, food was sub-par and drinks were weak. Beer selection is lame and did I mention bad service... we had to track our server down multiple times and had to order things again and again to remind her she forgot it! When I made my reservation I was told live music, there was none, they FORCED us to spend over $500 and our server gave herself a 22% tip and when I told Marlon, the manager I was not going to pay the bill until this is addressed he ran it anyways and told me "there is nothing I am going to do about that" Susan at Corporate was not much help either!Just PASS on this one!!!

Awesome Buffalo Chicken Wrap, tots and ranch. 10/10. The atmosphere is great as well, ate outside and watched the big screen, listened to live music.
