The Yards Athletic Club

I've been a member of the Yards Athletic club for eight years and the longest I've been a member of any gym. It's a smaller gym and that's a good thing, because when I was over the 24 Hour Fitness experiences I'd had. The Yards Athletic Club is extremely affordable; around $1/day, no long-term contracts, the staff is friendly and will jump into a personal training mode when asked to do so. The gym has everything you need, including free water, showers, towels and accessible parking. If you live/work downtown KC/Crossroads/West Bottoms or even Mid-town KC, The Yards Athletic Club should be on your list of gym's to check out if you're looking to switch gyms.

My first impression of this gym is that it is so clean! It's also affordable, friendly, and has everything you need for a great workout. The staff are kind and welcoming. Great class offering. Clean showers. They offer fresh clean bath towels and sweat towels so you don't have lug your own back and forth. It's located in the Historic West Bottoms next to the Kemper Arena. I love the location. It's just a little over a mile from where I live downtown (merely a few minutes away from the River Market and the Power & Light District). The classes are included with the membership. Full disclosure, I liked the gym so much that I ended up getting a part-time job here.

I've been to many gyms in my lifetime and this is definitely one of my favorite ones! Friendly staff, clean, amazing amenities and "zero" intimidating. If you're looking for a quiet and down to earth place to get a serious work out, this is it. Love love love!

The Yards friendly, energetic staff keep me coming back day after day! The club is always clean and smells fresh and the workouts are always new and exciting!

Best place to workout if you live/work in the West Bottoms. Very friendly staff and extremely affordable. Best of all...no contract required!!!!!
