Awesome Venue, excellent place for live music, could feel the building vibrating as we waited in line. Security lines moved fast even with line around the building. Sevendust rocked it and the sound in there was incredible. There is no bad seat here. Cant wait to go to another show!

Went here for a concert. It's a nice place and has a small parking lot near it. But you definitely will have to park somewhere else if you get there later and will have to walk a bit. There was a lot of people getting picked up or used Uber. Seems like the best option. Has a nice bar when you walk in at front of the place. It was closed off. Maybe they use it for bigger events such as weddings. There's another bar in the back. I saw some people sitting at small tables upstairs too. But most people were standing since it was GA.

I liked the Truman! It is a standing venue , but also has sitting options upstairs. It was easy to maneuver around and I would love to see another show here.

Sound quality was terrible. The buzz was much louder than the music, it was hard to hear the music and physically uncomfortable for my ears (even though the total volume wasn't excessively loud). This was for Hermanos Gutierrez on 5/9/2024. It's acoustic style music with lots of string instruments like guitar and banjo, as well as some hand drums. Maybe it wouldn't be as noticeable with a rock band? I asked the bartender about it and he said it may because the venue has a lot of hard edges (ceiling etc) as it used to be a factory. Seemed like maybe it's a crappy venue for music? This would have been much more enjoyable in an old church, which are designed for acoustics! Staff was overall nice so two stars from me.

Big dance floor, good sound system and lots of booze options. It's all about the booze at this venue and nowhere to sit. FUN PEOPLE Watching. Some people brought it and put their glitz and glam on! Glad I tried it once. Place cleared out at 12:01 am after an epic fail- the balloon waterfall did not happen at 12:00. LOL

Great concert venue that fits nicely between small club and arena style, so good for travelling bands that might not be the next biggest thing.Came here to see the epic Irish supergroup We Banjo 3. Doors opened at 7:00 p.m. sharp and the staff was scanning for possible hidden banjos, er... weapons, in pants and purses. If you come: please don't worry about the ability to get a drink here. Good grief, five, yes, FIVE bars ready to slake your thirst. Only down side, but then I'm a bit of a geezer, truthfully, not a lot of people like this, there are but a dozen or so seats on the main floor so if there's a warm-up band, be prepared to stand on concrete for 3-4 hours. Ugh, but still, a great little addition to the Kansas City scene. I'm a fan of The Truman. Nice work, Harry.

This is a good little and intimate venue where you can all be close to the stage and still have a great view.

I had my first and last experience at The Truman last night. My husband and I went to see Asking Alexandria. I'm physically disabled, so we felt comfortable knowing I would be able to sit in the handicap section. The first two sets were great. Then Memphis May Fire came on, and that's when the problem started. A woman was hanging over the gate that separated our area from the rest of the crowd. Several times, she sprayed her cold drink over us (my row and the front row). Security was busy with crowdsurfers, so I stood up during the set to let her know that she was getting us wet.She completely ignored me and held her drink behind her back. I returned to my seat, but during the break, she got me wet AGAIN. I tried to tell her she was getting us all wet, and she started screaming in my face that I was harassing her. She called security over. She was drunk and incoherent. They moved our seats up to the front row, but let her stay where she was. During the entire final set, she had one leg hooked over the rail. She was thrashing and not paying attention to anyone else. When one of the guitarists threw a pick into our section, she literally head-dove onto the floor, rolling in the mess she'd made, to find the pick. She was blonde with ( .Y. ), which I assume is the reason she wasn't removed.Worst concert experience ever. I even tried telling her that at rock concerts, we take care of one another. She just screamed at me that she paid to be there, so she could do what she wanted.
